Exceptional Care and Comfort at Symphony Senior Living - Orleans I recently had the privilege of entrusting my father, Randy Hicks, to the care of Symphony Senior Living in Orleans. From the moment we stepped through the doors, it was evident that this facility is exceptional in every way. Caring Staff: The staff at Symphony Senior Living goes above and beyond to ensure residents receive personalized care. Their compassion and dedication are truly heartwarming. They treated my father with kindness and respect, making him feel right at home. Clean and Inviting Environment: The facility is impeccably clean, and attention to detail is evident throughout. The sunlit dining room, adorned with lush greenery, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's a place where residents can relax and enjoy their meals. Regular updates kept us informed, giving us peace of mind. Pet-Friendly Policy: As pet lovers, we were delighted to learn that Symphony Senior Living is pet-friendly. Our furry companion was welcomed, adding to the overall sense of home. 2019 was a very bad year for me in many ways. In the end, it was decided that I could not return to my home after close to 6 months in hospital. My son took on the task of finding a more suitable place for me to live and get it set up for me before I was discharged (no small task!). Looking back now I cannot thank him and Symphony Senior Living Orleans enough. The fit for me could not be better. Not only do I have a very nice one bedroom apartment on the first floor of my independent living building, but I also have my very own front door and patio. But the absolute best part is I have my own garden. I've planted a butterfly garden and this year I am looking forward to admiring 50 tulips that I planted last fall. I have met so many nice people who stop by while I sit outside. Last year Symphony Senior Living Orleans recruited an Active Living Coordinator. She is fantastic! She develops and coordinates monthly calendars of events which include card games, exercise and yoga classes, a knitting club, crafting groups (I've already completed 2 quilts) and many more activities. We have regular shopping outings on our bus as well as special outings such as exploring garden centres, viewing Christmas lights, enjoying Winterlude (complete with beavertails), Tulip festival tours, Casino trips and many more. We also enjoy special entertainment here including singalongs, wine and cheese, dancing and even a murder mystery. I cannot say I've moved on since I came here but I certainly can say I've moved forward thanks to Symphony Senior Living Orleans. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Barbara Gibson

I recovered here for a month in 2022 after broken hip surgery. I can only say good things about Symphony... great staff, delicious meals and a clean and safe environment . If you need to recover somewhere after surgery, this is the best place to be.

My partner and I are soon planning to move in as they also have apartments beside the senior assisted living. I wasn't even aware that they had apartments to rent out which is great! Thus far things are fantastic. Dealing with Collin has made moving in and renting an apartment a breeze. Already Bob seems absolutely amazing getting the old carpet out and getting the new flooring in. I don't have anything to report yet of living there as we will be moving in soon. Not sure about the dryers and such but we shall see. Excited to see how things go!

My grandmother has lived at Symphony for 5+ years now. The residents are amazing; however, the management...not so much. In February, the intercom on my grandmother's building was out of service for over 4 weeks. During this time, the staff was duct taping the front door's latch open, and leaving it that way all day and night. After emailing to express my concern about the obvious security issue that this posed, they informed me that they would take the tape off the latch before the evening, so that the door would lock. This did not happen, which prompted me to drive over every night to peel the tape off myself. This way I could sleep soundly at night, knowing that there were not intruders waiting outside my grandmother's apartment. I hear many complaints from the residents about Lisa (higher up management), and the fact that she is the reason that the "good and caring" staff end up quitting. They ultimately can not stand to work in such a thankless and negative environment. If you move into one of the independent living apartment buildings, you are paying a pretty penny simply for the name "Symphony". There are no longer any added benefits like socials, bus trips to local grocery stores, or group outings for the residents living in the independent apartments. You are better off moving to an ordinary apartment building if you are independent and do not require assistance with daily tasks. The residents and Bob (maintenance staff) are the real heart of Symphony. Since his arrival, Bob has been working tirelessly. Catching up on all the requests which had previously been neglected. One of the residents (Pierette) volunteers to organize things like bingo and pizza for the independent buildings. Thank goodness for her! The residents consistently check up on each other, to ensure that each other is in good health and spirits. Such a lovely bunch of people. Thank you to everyone who makes Symphony a community!

It's a perfect living establishment for seniors, the food is excellent and tasty. The support staff are professionally trained and always very pleasant and eager to help. I have had the opportunity to visit David H. prior to the pandemic, I "liked" what saw ! The residence provides a variety of activities such as movies, paint classes, bingo, exercise session, BBQ lunches ( a definite hit) and church service for those that enjoy this sort of spiritual uplifting. Performances by the staff are exceptional. A medical doctor visits the residence once per month to respond to the needs of the residents. All in all , Symphony Senior Living provides a positive, friendly and upbeat atmosphere.

In September 2020, my dad ended up in the hospital for an extended period and was quite weak upon release. Mom could not take care of him so I moved them into assisted living at Symphony Orleans. When making inquiries, staff were very helpful and answered a lot of my emails even late into the evenings. Jodi and Theleah were quite helpful with the transition from Independent to Assisted. The move occurred during Covid therefore the 2-week quarantine was very difficult on my parents. As well, the fact that they were not allowed to leave the building to go on walks, or have visitors, has taken a tole on them. Nonetheless, they have met people and seemed to have made friends. I am very happy to see all the posts by Symphony Orleans staff of the residents and the many activities they share. The medical staff is also excellent as they take care of my parents' now that I cannot and, during these difficult covid times, they keep me updated on my parents' health. Great community.

My father has been with Symphony Senior Living for over 12 years. Initially he was in the Independent Living building and only recently moved to the main building to join their Assisted Living community. It has been a pleasure to deal with all of the staff there to make his stay so comfortable. They are truly hard working and a dedicated team that have managed to keep everyone entertained and safe during these challenging times of Covid-19. I applaud them all for a job well done and look forward to their continued success.

Hello, I took my parents 89 and 84 to the Christmas Drive-In organized by Symphony Living. It was a great evening watching a classic Christmas movie Miracle on 34th St. Supper and snacks were wonderful, sound off the radio and pop-up screen were great! All in all an excellent evening, my folks still talk about it! Many thanks and sign us up if you were planning to have a summer drive-in! Cheers

The management and staff of Symphony Orleans have been incredibly sensitive to the needs of residents and families, particularly during the difficult year we just had. As a family, we will never forget everything you did. Giving us and our loved ones all the support we needed with my father-in-law 's health struggles, and eventually his passing. Your humanity, and understanding, made this trying experience bearable. How you went out of your way to ease our pain, and certainly did more than we could expect from you, can never be acknowledge appropriately. How you also watch over my mother-in-law when we were not able to, and regularly gave us "special" permissions so we could help her ourselves, makes you, and your team, true members of our family from now on. Words will never be enough to thank you and we will certainly recommend you to everyone we know. Raymond Benoit and the Labreche Family

Hi! We have never had the opportunity to interact with the staff at Symphony Senior Living. Last winter, we heard about a drive-in and wanted to share the experience with our family.Although we live in the west end, we decided to give it a shot. During these difficult COVID times, we wanted to help the community in a way in which our two children could see and experience.Having never been to a drive-in, this was a great opportunity to give to the senior living and enjoy some family time. It was an easy decision as all proceeds went directly to the home.As soon as we entered the parking lot, we were taken aback with the enthusiasm and appreciation your staff showed towards us. We were treated like royalty! My youngest said, At least the people that live here have nice people helping them every day".If there is another drive-in, count us in! Thank you!Michel and Luciana

We attended their very first Christmas drive through movie event. It was well organized! Food delivered right to our car, washroom nearby and we were given reusable travel mugs to bring home. We would definitely attend a summer movie drive through event! The price was also very affordable! Great job

We cannot say enough good about Symphony, and it's staff. How can I describe Symphony, FAMILY. Our 97 year old mother, has received the best care, and when things are brought forward too management, they are dealt with immediately. To watch the staff with our mom, gives us such great comfort that she is being treated and taken care of with the utmost respect. Patricia S.

We are neighbors to Symphony and participated in their drive-in movie experience a few weeks before covid hit last year. This was an experience that my kids still talk about today and can't wait for the next event ! Our snacks and meal was prepped by Symphony's chef and kitchen staff and it was perfect. There was great care in paying attention to the details during the evening. I know this review is a little different than the others, but it speaks to the sense of community that exists at Symphony.

We went to a drivein theatre event last Christmas as a nice holiday treat for such a .... Wild...year. It was so fun! It was a first for our family and it was so memorable. The value for ticket cost exceeded expectations with great snacks and great poutine and a new fave coffee mug. The customer service and friendly smiles greeting you at arrival was so special as that gloomy year came to an end. I hope you hold the event again. My kids often still talk about it 🙂 Thank you for all you do & hope youre all well.

I don't think the administration knows just how wonderful their staff is. You have Rose's, a real gem of a nurse. She goes way beyond being efficient and loving to my mom. I text her photos of moms great-grandchildren and she shows mom the photos. I put my mom in Symphony just after the first lockdown. We had already succured the apartment and some furniture was in place. Then covid hit and we kept her out until July. The administration handle all those frighten families, the contracts and payments put on hold indefinitely. They were strict but fair. A special thank you goes to Jodi Davidson. I doubt anyone could fill those shoes and to Sandra Parent, totally professional! My mom loves it there. I love her being there. As much as I loved taking care of my mom, I will be forever grateful for my freedom. I am presently in England enjoying my new grandson. Thank you Symphony .

We were nervous about moving mom to assisted living during covid. Would she be safe? Would she be lonely? We are so pleased with the outcome. Symphonies has gone to great lengths to keep its residents safe while providing great activities to keep them busy and happy. Mom's health is much better now because she eats well, has plenty of exercise and is surrounded by a very kind and helpful staff.
