When my sisters and I noticed that our mom needed to move from her condo to a retirement residence, we visited a few of them to find the best fit. Credit River definitely stood above all the others with respect to their homey atmosphere and wonderful food. However, it was the caring staff members that made us realize this was the best place for our mom to be happy. The staff know all of the residents’ names and are always pleasant and helpful. The quality of service and care provided to our mom at Credit River has totally reduced the stress that we were experiencing when she was living alone. It’s truly a relaxing and enjoyable time when we come there to visit. We really can’t thank Susan and Shantel enough for all the help they’ve provided to our family over the last few months. In May 2021, I relocated my sister from another retirement facility when her day-to-day support urgently called for 24-7 care and attention. The move was executed in difficult times as Public Health rules around Covid-19 severely imposed limits and restrictions on in-person meetings, physical inspection of facilities, timelines and windows for setting up my sister in her new residence…to list just a few. My principal contact at Credit River was Ms. Shantel Prashad who demonstrated an appreciable degree of flexibility in managing the process and a good level of cleverness when problems came up. All in all, Ms. Prashad ensured the move was seamless and less onerous on me. Fourteen-months on, and relatively speaking, my sister has settled in. The staff in Memory Care treat her with patience and kindness and, as warranted, they communicate frequently with me on matters pertaining to my sister’s her day-to-day care and support.

It was a great pleasure from the very start with Credit River. Chantal was fantastic to take the time to hear our needs for my father and how we were dealing with my mother on a different note. She was empathetic and truly cared about us. They were very flexible on start date and the day of the move was simple and easy! My father is happy to have made the move to Credit River and I would highly recommend this retirement home for anybody looking for a clean safe place for their loved ones!

My Mother moved into the Credit River Retirement Residence about eight months ago, and she is very happy there. We had visited other like residences in the area prior but, my Mom knew this was the place for her after the first visit. The residence is beautifully decorated, and the rooms and facilities are well maintained. The staff and residents made the move-in period very easy for her, and she now has many new friends. I would like to thank the staff at Credit River for providing such good care for my Mother! We definitely made the right decision!

We had to find a place for my mom who has Alzheimer’s Disease. I am very protective of my mother so I had a lot of reservations. When we met with Shantel, she understood exactly what I needed and that made me feel comfortable. Once my mom moved in, all the staff at Credit River Residences made me feel very welcome in the process of getting my mom adjusted, and they are very honest and transparent with me as to what’s working and what’s not. They are open to suggestions and trying new ideas, and they do not hesitate to call me and let me know when things are good or not so good with my mom. As such, I would have no hesitation in recommending Credit River Residence to anyone.

I needed to find a secure and caring home for my father who is suffering from dementia. I visited Credit River Residence to see one of their 'memory care' suites. I was warmly greeted and given a tour of the facilities and found that it provided all the services that my father needed for his care. Since moving my father into the Residence, he has been well looked after by the caring staff. The peace of mind knowing that my dad is in a safe, secure and caring environment was just what our family needed.

Currently my parents and my husband's paternal aunt are cared for at Credit River Retirement home. My aunt lived their until passing last year. So I am familiar with assisted living, dementia care, and Independent Living programming and care. As a MSW level hospital social worker I am pretty analytical of services generally but I am comfortable recommending all three levels of care at Credit River. Food is good, programming is lively and they have competent nursing care. Kindness and compassion is evident in each interaction. Adequate staffing You can keep your own family doctor.Note I am not receiving any compensation for this review

Everything about Credit River Retirement Residence is 5 star plus! All the staff go above and beyond to assist with all your needs and concerns. My sister lived in a beautiful Independent Suite and then moved to a gorgeous Suite in Assisted Living during her time there. A very special thank you to Jill Somerville (you are the best) and her team (Susan, Kerra, Bobbie and Barb). Thank you for always going that extra mile for my sister and always being there to support me as well. A very special shout out to Paulo DeLa Cruz as well who was always there to assist and work with me on the very best treatment options for my sister. To the nurses, PSWS, food servers (the food is 5 star plus as well) and cleaners, thank you for all you do!! My sister was treated like family at Credit Rivers Retirement Residence and as a regular, twice a week visitor so was I!!! I miss seeing all of you...thank you again for you incredible service and your wonderful kindness. Big Hugs to all 🙂

Both Susan and Jill were extraordinarily helpful in helping my mother decide to move into Credit River Retirement. After quite a number of visits, too many calls, questions that I can count, she decided to stay. Everyone there, at all levels, are super nice and always remember my moms name. Neither of us can figure out how they always remember!

The Credit River location was one of the nicest location my parents and I visited. There are a lot of activities to keep them involved and social. Trying to be proactive for my mother I have chosen to visit several retirement residence. Credit River was the one that took the time to take me on a full tour and experience the daily lifestyle. We were fortunate to be there when they had an afternoon of musical entertainment and also another day when they had the ‘Pie in the face event. Everyone was thoroughly enjoying it (including me). There was a very natural flow and casualness once you entered the building! We truly believe this will be the place once the time is right and we thank Jill S for all her attention.

If your looking for Retirement home or assisted living for a loved one this home is awesome.The home feels like home ! The care and services provided at a reasonable valueis the best. I have been to other facilities and by far this is one of the best.Jill and Susan in Marketing were so helpful and accommodating in the process of moving to this home .Its astressful time and they were patient and so welcoming to my dad. Theres a warm home eeling here. The the care by the staff , from the moment you arrive, the Receptionist,PSW and Nursing staff is kind , caring and compassionate and when Ileave I know my dad is cared for I no longer have to worry if he will be ok. And hes happy as well.I would recommend this retirement home in the lovely setting of Streetsville.

Everyone has been amazing at Credit River! My mother was in crisis and unable to move to LTC due to covid restrictions. Jill, Julie, Shereen and Paulo have been incredibly supportive and accommodating. My mother is now safe and well cared for.

My mom moved into Credit River Retirement Residence in May of 2016 onto the Assisted Living Floor. I was anxious to see how she would adjust but was reassured by a staff member saying weve got her. She was warmly welcomed by all of the staff and it was heart warming to see how quickly they connected with her. Mom enjoys all of the entertainment and is quick to join into any singalong function. Just recently she had to be hospitalized for 2 months and she returned to the 2nd floor Memory Care floor. She again, was warmly welcomed by the staff and they made a special effort to get to know her make sure she is continually watched over and kept busy especially with art and music. When I visit, I see smiles that I havent seen before. I can rest easier knowing that she is well taken care of and respected. The staff at Credit River are outstanding.

Credit River Residences in Streetsville (Mississauga) is without a doubt,one of the finest retirement residences in the GTA.From the very first contact, the individuals were very professional and had aheartfelt warmth and kindness for our requirements. We cant say enough about the staff and quality of service and care provided to our Mother at the Credit River Retirement Residences in Streetsville. When it came time to seriously consider moving our Mom from her independent condo to a community home that would provide her with meals some personal care, we visited many facilities and Credit River was the one that impressed us immediately.The staff was friendly and positive, the environment bright and cheerful and the decor clean and modern. Our biggest concern was her transition and Jill Somerville and her team guided us through that with expert hands.Mom visited the facility on a staycation and was so pampered, happy, comfortable and content that she did not want to leave !Moving Mom to the Credit River Residences was the best move we made. We have peace of mind knowing that shes happy, engaged, entertained and being cared for by a professional staff who take their jobs seriously and truly care about the people in their residence.Moms made all kinds of new friends and has never looked back. We visit often and its always a pleasure!

We were looking for a place that could accommodate our parents and our aunt and Credit River Retirement has been incredible! We were first impressed with the diligence of the physical assessments prior to acceptance and then impressed by the way the team worked together to accommodate everyone with everything from move in to settling in. Its been 4 months since move in and I think what has impressed me the most is the positive way team members interacts with residents. Ive witnessed so many instances of compassion that you would think staff were caring for their own folks. Ive also witnessed where a team member interacted with a resident who seemed to be having a really tough day - they immediately recognized the situation, comforted the resident and successfully redirected their attention to a new subject and activity.The management team also treats residents as if they were their own parents and seem to know all the residents by name! All the staff excel at demonstrating team work and its easy to see they have each others back and like each other.Credit River Retirement Residence puts on some great gala events where its all hands on deck! It doesnt matter if its in the evening or on weekends - everyone is pitching in! Its an outstanding team!Four months in, were very happy to have moved our folks to Credit River Retirement Residence.

As a Credit River resident for over two years, there have been several opportunities for me to use my career skills in the development of some special programs for all residents. Most recently, I was able to work closely with senior staff to produce a major outdoor concert with the Mississauga Pops Concert Band. Staff here are highly energetic, friendly and very professional!
