Mom had chosen MAID for end of life. I searched the area for a suitable home she could leave hospital and enjoy her last week. Found it at Sunrise. Very quick and personable response from Jodi that was professionable and compassionate which is difficult to accomplish in any event. I can't say enough about the level of care, Mom's accomodations and the kindness of the Staff. Above and beyond. Residents AND Family aretaken well care of.

Sunrise is a beautiful residence. When you drive up to it you feel like you just pulled up to a Muskoka resort. The interior feels the same as well. My mother has been there since January and she tells us all the time how much she loves it there. The staff know everyone by name and every time I’m there I see them display a genuine tenderness to all the residents. They have a smile for everyone. My mother participates in all the daily scheduled programs and events for the residents (ie.exercises, piano player, dancing, trivia games, movies, etc). I’ve never seen her smile so much. My family and I couldn’t be happier with Sunrise of Aurora.

My mom has been in the Sunrise community for almost 6 years. She has been treated with best care and compassion that we could ask for. This is her home and she appreciates all the staff and care managers that have been in her life since she got here. When problems arise, the staff goes to great lengths to solve all issues with the same care and compassion that we are accustom to. I have to give credit to the staff at Sunrise of Aurora. They work hard to make Sunrise a home for their residents. They become "family" to those in their care. All staff are available to speak with me and never make me feel as if I have asked one too many questions. I aways feel welcome anytime I come for a visit or a quick pop in. My mother passed away peacefully at Sunrise with the support of the staff while her husband continues to be a resident.

Sunrise is such a lovely, welcoming home. We have been coming to sing with the residents on Sunday afternoons on a monthly basis for just over a year now and we have been warmly welcomed from the start. Playing for the residents at Sunrise was one of the best experiences I have ever had as they were for the most part, very engaged and enjoyed the music, but I had the opportunity to also talk with them and share all kinds of subjects and memories too. The staff were coming and going and also got involved in the fun and singing along and getting the folks joining in. Magda, my activity contact, was constantly getting into the songfest and by the end, everyone was really up and having fun. That's my kind of event! Looking forward to the next time to have fun with the residents.

Love Sunrise! The staff are always positive and friendly and Magda has been a constant great host and encourages the elders to participate or enjoy an event. I have been to Sunrise many times visiting my mother in law and now as an entertainer. The building has a warm feel to it and one can tell that the people that live there are treated with care.

It is absolutely breath taking beautiful inside and out. Provides a huge range of senior care as age related impairments occurs. Very friendly, professional staff. Many many activity programs and amenities. Was impressed unfortunately I selected another senior residency, only because it is a smaller residency and nicely done as well.

My parents moved to Sunrise Aurora 4 months ago and are glad they did. The level of care they are receiving at Sunrise far exceeds what they were used to at their previous home. All the staff are caring people who are a pleasure be around. I would recommend Sunrise Aurora to family and friends.

Our family have been associated with Sunrise for 3 years. We have nothing but great things to say about Sunrise!! The facility is excellent and the staff are caring and compassionate. During the past year of COVID 19 the boredom and isolation elderly people feel is real and concerning for all families. Everyone at Sunrise was available and allowed access to our mother as much as possible. We feel like the staff at Sunrise are our family after this past year. We appreciate what they have had to deal with ! Every Retirement home has never dealt with any thing like COVID, we are so happy our mom is there today. It could have been different.
