The place is nice but the response time to call button is bad. 3 hours to get changed is ridicules. Need more people to tend to patients. Food is almost always cold.

By and large the staff here are extremely caring. Sure, there still exist those just wanting a paycheck, but I've been here for two different stretches of rehab, and it's like being with family--so many great people. The physical therapy and occupational therapy individuals are equally caring and remarkable, even if they work for a third party, they assimilate seamlessly into the culture. From upper management to the cleaning staff, so many give their best to their jobs, and what more could you ask for? *** I suppose I spoke too soon. Let's just say that things didn't end well during my last stay and I left early from my rehab. You take what life gives you. I still appreciate the service of many here. That's all I'll say.

My mom received the worst care. First, she was not getting turned at night. Second, my mother accidentally spilled her water in the night, & when I returned 12 hours later, mother had not had water for about 12 hours! The nurses aid had pushed moms tray table away, preventing her from accessing it, which contained my moms cell phone and nitro pills. Mom needed her phone to communicate with the aid because she’s deaf and it has an app that helps her know what the aids say. The aid did not refill my mother’s water, either. In the morning, a new aid came and brought moms water 5 far away from where she was sitting, but mom could not reach it and can’t walk. I reported this to the nurse. But they said nothing to the aid. Her response was to me was that when older people are put to bed, that if they have water, they will need to urinate! The problem with this thinking, is that older people are often on dietetics and they are in a constant state of being dehydrated and need a lot of water to keep from having heart attacks & strokes! You cannot withhold water from elderly people! This is abuse! I had to go get the aid every night, to get her to turn my mom, & I refilled mom’s water myself. This should have been done by the aid. Once she came in and told me that she didn’t turn mom because she saw we were asleep. The aids should be turning the patients every two hours, no matter if they are asleep or not. This prevents bed sores. Next, your personnel in the cafeteria brought my moms food tray, and placed it five feet away from my moms reach, and did not place it on her tray table which was beside her! She can’t walk to get it. How much training does it take to know to put trays of food and full water cups next to the patient? It’s common sense. As well, your people do not come when the call button is pushed. I stayed all night there for a week, and I witnessed a certain aid shutting all the patients doors, ( so she could not hear them calling out for help) although she said it was so the light wouldn’t shine in, but that is what the curtains are for. There was no nurse either on the respite floor at night. I had to go get that same night aid, many times to help other patients who were crying out for help! One lady was needing to go to the rest room & the aid would shut her door. This lady didn’t know how to push the call button. There were other patients that did not have the ability to push a call button or call out, who I saw laying across the bed.. about to fall off! One guy who had a half a leg, was laying cross ways on his bed with no blanket and I saw another who look like he fell into bed. This is before she started closing the doors. She should not be shutting the doors because if a patient falls out of bed, she needs to be able to hear them calling and needs to be in her hallway working, & paying attention and not at a different floor talking! Your nursing home respite care is the place of incompetence, in my opinion. I was afraid to leave my mother there! No one came into her room for hours at a time. They sometimes ignored her when she asked for help. The patients on the respite floor are left to themselves, with not much care. If they fell out of bed, were choking, had to go to the bathroom, were cold, or thirsty, the aid was often gone, and no nurse was on this floor either at night shift. Your nurses should be overseeing your aids. It’s their job to make sure the aids are doing their jobs & that is not happening. I will not recommend your place to anyone! I was very afraid for my mother’s life. I will say that the food was fine, and the cleanliness was good, & the people were nice, but just not well trained at all & did not have wisdom on knowing how to deal with patients.

This was the best place. All the nurses and the Doctors are excellent. Jennifer, Amber and Glenne are awesome .. the physical therapists are exceptional ..Amy and Diamond and co workers brought my brother back from him losing his wife. He is up and about and doing his therapy on his own now.. Now Jeff said : quote Great People Work Here I have already put a reservation for myself when it’s my time and I need help. The grounds and the buildings are big and luxurious. More like a vacation and more important than anything is . every single person is a kind and caring person.. Thank you Tuscany Nursing Home!!

Kisha is great! She does laundry Great! My clothes are always clean and dry and look like they were ironed! But everything else is go the most part a mess. My bed is bad. Food horrible. Run short on Aides. My roommate who was very ill would have to wait as long as 3 hours after turning her light on to get her briefs changed. I lost so much weight that my sister had to buy me a refrig. And friends have bought me food. Doctors do not follow guidelines. I lost almost 30 pounds the first 5 most.

Sadly, I need to amend this review...the administrator is the worst and they aren't taking care of the facility like they used to...the floor staff is lovely but the place gets filthier by the day and the carpets haven't been cleaned in lord knows how long. Even my son commented how it smells and filthy it has become. He is doing construction for another facility and can't believe how much better the other place is and how different Tuscany is from when we first placed our Mom there. 2 years ago Trinitee in admissions and the new administrator Diana were wonderful greeting and showing me around the facility. Diana told me she started as a CNA so she has worked multiple levels in LTC facilities which I really like. The rooms are larger than most of the facilities I visited and very clean. Also liked there is a half wall between roommates allowing for better privacy plus room for some personal touches/ furniture to make it feel more like home. The medical staff was visible in all hallways plus the residents I saw were clean and content. No one crying for help so they were being attended to in reasonable time. We were part of the patients put on 90 day notice with Fountains at Canterbury closing all it's facilities so like everyone else, in a mad rush to find a quality long term nursing care for our Mom which can be limited since she is on Medicaid. We love the location as well, in a nice neighborhood and close enough to highway systems so our family can go see her more often. Needless to say we are going to give this facility a shot and praying it works out great.

The staff worked well with me and my family caring for our father. Weekend staff weak and not has friendly has during the week. Shelby took great care of his wounds and was easy to talk with about care. Amber and Ricci helpful in working on insurance and transfer. Your building is very outdated and need of repair and update. Carpet worn, walls in need of paint. It would be helpful when people are waiting at front desk someone asks about need.

My daughter lived at Tuscany for several months while waiting for a major surgery . Unfortunately she had a surgery that caused complications and she died in hospital . But the wonderful people that work so hard at Tuscany made her last months very good for her . From the wonderful wound care , nursing , housekeeping and med aid staffs they were so great . She was so appreciative of them . As her mother I was there often and saw many positive interactions between the staff and patients . I could lay my head down knowing she was having fun playing games , talking with the nurses , just enjoying herself . Thank you , all of you . I wish I'd have won the lottery I'd have doled out millions . What a great place .

Ricci in the business office is amazing. Ricci is responsive, compassionate, and works hard for the residents at Tuscany. Brenda is a kind, effective, and talented nurse. She takes such good care of the patients at Tuscany. And Knight is such a thoughtful chef that really gets to know the patients there. Knight is a talented chef.

Great treatment from a wonderful staff. The administration team is caring and involved, the nurses and nursing aides are caring people. Derek is an engaged nurse. He is professional yet felt like he was apart of our family at times.

I'm currently a resident at Tuscany Village and overall have had only a positive experience. I have found the staff to be professional and caring. I have been treated with nothing but compassion and respect. There may be a glitch from time to time but I would absolutely recommend Tuscany Village.

The staff was very friendly, caring and helpful. I appreciated that they went the extra mile for me several times, especially like getting me a cup of coffee before breakfast. They delivered my medications on time and were usually very prompt in delivering pain medication when requested. The only frustration I had was with the soda dispensing machine. It was frequently out of Sprite and I lost $4.50 in it trying to get sodas. I never learned to whom to report my losses so I could be reimbursed.
