My dad lived at Hefner Mansions for five years. It is an excellent facility. Very clean and the staff is friendly, caring and always willing to help. The food is wonderful. Any maintenance issues are addressed quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend this community.

I've lived here for 14 months. The staff is great. Everything is wonderful except the food. It is horrible. For instance, at times the vegetable soup has left over turnip greens floating on top. The big problem is that I have had warm water, never hot. Today, the water is ice cold. I have explained and complained to the previous Executive director. Nothing was ever done. Now she denies knowing anything about my complaints. I have been complaining a few months to the current Executive Director. He has had people working with the system several times. It is Thanksgiving day and I had to shower in another resident's apartment.

Dad recently moved in other residents are welcoming, several activities to join in. Food is average and they dont seem to worry about salt or sugar so not senior diet friendly, which I find odd considering I would think most would benefit from low salt and sugar.

This has been my new voting location for the last several years every visit Ive had their to vote I find the place to be extremely Immaculate does not have any of the common smells you would find in a retirement facility staff is very kind.

Had a chance to stop by and visit an old friend. The staff was amazing and very helpful. My friend said she loved it there and was happy she made the move to Hefner Mansions.

The simple fact is, that the baby boomers are getting old. We are reaching retirement age, and for many of us that also means health problems. Thats why we need places like assisted living and retirement centers. If you are looking for a good place to retire to, give this place to look see it looks pretty good to me, and I hear great things about it.

My father moved in about a month ago and its been a great experience for him and us. Every one is very friendly and helpful. Food is better than the average institution but I have different standards regarding diet. We mostly appreciate the caring atmosphere of the place. Kudos to staff and residents.
