An amazing community for seniors that are independent and want to have a fun and carefree retirement! Wendy and her staff at Silver Elm take good care of the residents and the apartments are spacious and beautiful! There are many activities planned daily and meals are provided in the dining room every day. They also have weekly housekeeping! What more can you ask for?

We went by and visited this place for my mom. They answered all of our questions and were very friendly and knowledgeable. We even met a couple residents who lived there who said they really enjoyed it.

The new management is horrible! The lady that is in charge is the rudest person! I wouldn't let any of my relatives live in this place as long as she is in charge! The facility is very nice...but as long as they have that lady in charge it's going to go downhill fast!!!! I feel sorry for the people that live there that don't have relatives to check on them or make sure they are ok! Cause I'm sure if she treats an outsider horrible I can only imagine how she treats the people living there or the coworkers! I'm so glad we have chosen a different facility!!! The lady that we spoke with was name Wendy.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I appreciate all the efforts made to improve living conditions at Silver Elms. We have water every day! That's a big deal. I understand what a huge undertaking to install new pipes and fixing sound and vibration from riser room. Thank you sooo much. Staff is wonderful. Wendy is doing a great job. She really listens and tries very hard to make all of us happy. She has put a good staff together. Anna has always tried to give us good entertainment and steps up wherever needed. Anna is the one we all go to for tv, phones, and computer help. Zach is a wonderful addition to staff. He can fix anything. We now have housekeepers for all. I got Jessie and he's the best I have had since I arrived. 7 DAYS AND COUNTING!!! So excited about about Joey's Cafe. All of front desk staff tries very hard to keep us safe and happy. I could go on and on. Life is so much better since you arrived. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!!!

Was great when owned by the McCasland's. They've been bought out by NPMA so be prepared to pay more for less. They come from the East coast and just bleed places dry. They've made it known they intend to dump the place as soon as they can. So any thought of this purchase being different went out the window with that. I'd give it 5 stars if it were still owned by McCasland. They at least put time, money and effort into keeping residents happy. I imagine NPMA will have them mowing the lawn to save money by next month. If you're considering moving in you might want to ask the residents what they think of the place...... then go somewhere else. Update: My review IS property related. People bring their family to Silver Elm for tours and they're not listed as a resident. They leave reviews. Like the lady I see below complaining. I noticed NPMAs response wasn't "Uh we don't show you as a resident". I'm glad people can see firsthand that world class NPMA customer service they'll get at Silver Elm.

If the food service was better, this would be a good place to live. I have visited here on several occasions and the food is misrepresented. It tastes like it is reheated from bags and, or cans. The Oriental Chicken Salad description is not what they served me. They left out three of the ingredients and covered it in a very sweet dressing.
