Reviews Laurels of Norworth
July 2026
The good: Knowledgeable staff, Elvis the nurse was amazing, Great PT and OT . The bad: My son went into the facility on July 20 and there was no air conditioning in the hallways. They were using fans to keep it cool. The room air conditioners weren't working so on the three days that there were heat advisories there were no air conditioning by my son's room. It was 90 degrees in there for three days. There was a language barrier between the staff and my son. My son fell and hit his head and it took 30 minutes after the roommate put on the call light for someone to come and help him. PSA's while some were pleasant there were a few that was outright rude to him and he had to tell one of them off. The PSA's were extremely slow to answer call lights. I was on the phone with him one night and he put his call light on and after 35 minutes they still hadn't come to see what he needed, his sugar is as extremely high. He wasn't getting his short acting insulin for a couple days and they would not give him his meds at the time that he needed them, they were meds that needed to be taken with meals. There was one night he didn't get night time meds until 11 pm. Dietary was not sending the correct menu for my diabetic son and his sugar was incredibly high. He was signed out AMA but honestly he will get better care at home alone. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY FOR ANYONE!

Working collaboratively with The Laurels of Norworth has consistently been a seamless and quick process in terms of accepting and meeting our patients specific needs. Aubri is very responsive regarding referrals and has been an absolute pleasure to work with. Thank you for all you do!

My husband came here for short term physical therapy. He is improving every day he’s not able to stand due to the serious surgery that he had in December. Food service the food service has not been the greatest food of taste, but he did eat certain things. The family brings Lol Nursing care has been good but they seem to have a lot of patience that they have to take care of. The nursing assistance, are somewhat slow answering the call light they seem to be responsible for a lot of patience. I know from experience the nursing assistance, and the nurseries work very hard taking care of each and every patient that they’re responsible . I was very happy for my husband that one of the assistance got him a really comfortable bed that fits him because he is 6’2 All the staff have been very helpful assisting the needs for my husband. So far, everything is going well.

Laurels of Norworth has always been extremely professional, and have worked extremely hard to have the needs of patients met. Aubri and Brandi in Admissions are so wonderful to work with, and strongly advocate for the residents. Elvis, one of the floor nurses, is so kind and patient with the residents, and works so hard to manage symptoms and assist in providing patient’s and families with comfort. Both Marissa and Char in Social Services went above and beyond to address concerns for patients and families, and worked to make sure that they were comfortable. Thank you for all the work you do for your residents, their families, and future patients!

I love the Laurels of northwich it's an excellent facility for physical rehab I enjoy the people that work here specially my CNA that I have most of the time her name is Sephora she is so kind and nice and takes care of me excellently and never complains always does what she needs to do and explained thoroughly everything she does. The staff is amazing here from physical therapy to the people that directly work with you the nurses I would recommend this place to anybody especially if they have family I would send my family here and that means a lot to me because they treat you like family.

November 2025
The laurels of Norworth have been great to my wife. The staff takes good care of her. This is a great place to call home for my loved one.
November 2025
I want to start by saying I am a Registered Nurse and very critical. My father in law was admitted to Norworth for "short term rehab" which subsequently turned into an extended stay while he waited for an Assisted Living Medicaid Waiver. We toured many facilities (5-6) before choosing the Laurels of Norworth and we are so thankful that they accepted him. One aspect that we really appreciated is that even though it was a "shared room" it was semi private and very spacious. This was important to us. A few of their staff needs recognition: Mary at the front desk gave us a tour and always made us feel welcome every time we came to visit. She seemed to have a real interest in the wellbeing of the patients. Elvis RN was attentive and made sure we were on the same page when it came to Mike's care and medication. He was always easy to reach, and always willing to speak to us (I've learned this is not common in nursing homes...). Margaret (nurses aide) was one of Mike's favorites and he enjoyed bantering with her. She always made sure Mike was showered and his bed was changed. Paul was also great - on Mike's last day Paul whispered personal words of encouragement on his way out, which was so appreciated. Seriously. There was an issue with Medicaid/Insurance, and Merissa, the Social Worker was there to support us every step of the way. Her follow up and experience is unmatched. Norworth is lucky to have her. Though we didn't see administration at all, we felt that it wasn't necessary as they employ and empower the right people to get the jobs done. There was one time I needed to speak to the Nurse Manager and that was also a pleasant experience. My advice is to be PRESENT, set your expectations, and make sure the staff knows you, and they understand you are an ADVOCATE. Tour multiple places, they are not all created equal. I gave it a 4 star as the rooms could use some maintenance/improvement and the furniture in the rooms could use a refresh, though the lobby is nice and always smelled great. Thank you for caring for Mike during his 4-5 month stay!
November 2025
Every thing is ok with me at the Laurel’s. I met friends and I am happy. I love my room it feels so home like.
November 2025
This is my second week here. Everyone treats me good they pay attention to my needs. I like that the facility is clean.
November 2025
The day staff is very kind. Patience, Princess ,Stacey,Mabel, Marisa, Sofia Daniels, Mr Tracy, Dr Jessica Hwang The weekend shifts are so understaffed it is very hard for the staff to respond quickly.
November 2025
I want to give a big shout out to Brandi Rose she does Central Supply , since she has been employed here we have everything we need. She listens and gets the supply to me in time!
November 2025
I have only one other facility to compare this to and the other one would be 5 stars compared to this one. My family member was there for one night and we immediately checked them out the next day so I don’t have a lot of info to share. The family member didn’t like it and wanted to leave so we got them out.
October 2025
The Laurels of Norworth starting with Aubri Bostic and her assistant Rani and ending with the entire skilled nursing staff bent over backwards to help my father with an urgent respite stay. At the very last minute, they coordinated with family and the hospital to find a spot for my 97 year old dad who had no where to go. They were reasonably priced, kind, caring, compassionate, professional, and most importantly, they treated my father with dignity. My father said the Laurels of Norworth was 1000 times better than the hospital. Even though he just stayed at the Laurels of Norworth for just a weekend before transitioning to Assisted Living, he enjoyed every minute of his stay. He was able to sleep peacefully, eat well, get bathed, walk to get stronger, and be treated like a human being that has worth and value. There are no words that can sufficiently express my gratitude for God's creation like Aubri and her team who welcomed my elderly father with open arms. If you are in need of a skilled nursing facility, the Laurels of Norworth is a place to consider based on the quality of their employees.

Our family is incredibly grateful for the care and compassion shown by the team at Laurels of Norworth. From the moment my mom arrived, we could see how dedicated the nurses, nurse aides, social workers, and all the staff are to ensuring her comfort and well-being. Their kindness and professionalism have made a significant difference in her daily life, and it’s clear that they genuinely care about the residents. The level of communication and attention to detail provided by everyone here has been outstanding. Whether it’s the nurses going above and beyond to ensure her medical needs are met or the social workers helping her stay engaged and comfortable, we couldn’t ask for a better environment. Thank you, Laurels of Norworth, for taking such good care of my mom and giving our family peace of mind!
January 2025
This place is a dump, these reviews must be fake. Incompetent or uncaring staff, cold food, no pain management until I SCREAMED in pain after being told there is no one who can assess and order pain meds for a fractured hip. I should have called 911 and gone back to the hospital for another placement. DO NOT GO HERE.
December 2024
My mother has been a resident at The Laurel of Norworth for the past two months, and I’ve visited her regularly and would like to provide my experience it has been positive, especially when it comes to the nursing staff, aides and PT team are attentive, kind, and truly seem to care about the residents’ well-being. Whether it’s assisting with daily activities or providing medical support, they consistently go above and beyond to ensure comfort and safety,The rest of the administration staff are incredibly kind and always greeting us warmly when we visit. Overall, I’m grateful for the care provided by every single person in the facility and their care for my loved one.

They do care for their patients. I know because I was one. They do their best in spite of being short-handed sometimes and I never felt neglected. Shout out to Margaret and Paul (the dream team). They made me feel cared for and are great people. Also shout out to Miriama and Ishmael. They took care of me during the night shift. Physical and occupational therapy was top notch as well. Thank you Joel, Ryan, Kim, and Cody. I'd recommend the Laurels for their rehab. Breakfast was good, bou it was hit & miss for lunch and dinner. My room was cleaned every day. The facility is very clean. If you need care, go there.

Communication between staff and hospice services was excellent. The facility delivered on everything that we had previously discussed. The staff was friendly and compassionate which contributed to her smooth and comfortable transition.
August 2024
My son received skilled nursing, p/t and o/t for 3 weeks. He was tube fed so I can’t comment on the food. The employees are top notch! Very friendly and caring. They greeted patients by name. I recommend a single room if your insurance will pay for it. There was a woman across the hall with dementia that yelled constantly. We felt sorry for her. She probably didn’t know where she was. Our son was given earplugs. Not sure what else could be done. After we left we had problems with g-tube and spoke with Patience, his nurse. She had us bring him back in and fixed the problem. Jada and Mary working the front desk were always cheerful and helpful. Therapists were encouraging without being pushy. The outdoor area was a nice escape when 4 walls seemed to be closing in. We felt our son got excellent care.

I wrote a very detailed review highlighting my experience at The Laurels. It spoke in detail of the good I experienced and the bad. The Laurels deleted my initial post editing out the parts they didnt like and only leaving one paragraph. It s their website and they can manipulate it any way they want. Suffice to say, I hit a nerve. They didnt like my review s honesty so they deleted it. I put my review in several other places and will add one more on Monday.

My mom stayed at The Laurels Of Norworth for about five weeks recently, and it was an overall a very good experience. Staff was helpful and attentive to her needs. The facility had planned activities and physical therapy. The site was clean and well-maintained. The rooms are sparse, but, adequate for the portions. Satellite/cable channels were very basic but adequate.

I would recommend this facility. The nursing staff builds bonds with the residents and treats them like family. Often in the facility you can hear them joking and laughing. The therapy department is one of a kind for staff and results!
April 2024
Everyone has been very friendly. They are usually quick, 10 - 15 minutes, to respond to the call light. The food is decent, not great, but alright for a nursing facility. Overall this place is pretty nice.
April 2024
Patience is one great nurse. The nursing staff is good overall. The PT and OT folks Ryan and Mel are fantastic. I had two aides that went above and beyond they know who they are. The food could use an upgrade.

The Laurels of norworth is a rehab facility that I thoroughly recommend. The staff including the nurses who are very attentive to each individual's needs, the stna's who are prompt and kind, show compassion at every opportunity. Now for the real stars of the show The occupational therapy and physical therapy departments are above none. They encourage you and motivate you through the hard parts. I personally have been here over 2 months and at two different junctures had a choice who going somewhere else I chose to come back to The Laurels of norworth because I feel safe here.

My mother was admitted because she had a wound on her finger that she could not dress herself. The wound was to be dressed twice daily but this did not happen. Meds were not dispensed as directed, if at all. Mom is on a low sodium diet, a high sodium diet was provided. Over the course of 2 weeks she was bathed once, Stay away.
December 2023
FACILITY - 4 - to be honest when they told me I had to come to a facility for a while The Laurels were at the bottom of my search list due to the experience I had with the facility 12 or 15 years ago. When they turned out to be the only facility that would accept my current medications I still had huge reservations but I have been pleasantly surprised. The facility itself doesn't appear to have been updated since my last visit so things are still worn with worn upholstery and scratched bedside table in my patient room, but it is clean and well taken care of with maintenance items resolved within a day or two. STAFF - 4.5 - Surprisingly, when everywhere struggles to find staff of any kind post Covid 19, they are well staffed, and for the most part, the staff are friendly and caring, and do their jobs reasonably timely. THERAPY - 5 - During my prior stay I had physical and/or occupational therapy only twice a week for all; this stay I have had therapy 6 days a week, including many days when I have both types of therapy. The therapists are friendly and professional, and show appropriate concern on days where my injuries are swollen or inflamed and help me find ways to still do therapy on the related structures. CONCERNS - 5 - The supervisors met with me periodically to review how things are going and address any needs. Any concerns raised by either side are discussed and solutions mutually agreed on and implemented. FOOD SERVICE - 3.5 - The food service is timely and served at the times posted, however it is fairly typical institutional food, think school lunches of the '60s and '70s, with minimal fresh fruit or vegetables. The food supervisor met with me on arrival to review and make note of my allergies, sensitivities and food preferences and they were followed by staff. He made me aware of their multiple meal paths and that I could always choose meal from the other path. He also confirmed that I would be able to bring outside meals in if I so choose.

Communication and getting basic needs met ( showers, clean clothes, tidy rooms) is challenging. IF you find the right person, your questions and needs will be taken care of. It has taken me three months to find just those right people. Courtney, empathetic director of admissions with a fun personality, works well beyond her job description until she finds what is needed. Andrew, maintenance, does so much more than fix things. The way he talks with and works with residents is heart warming. Tara, unit manager, works hard with aides and is willing to sit down and talk with you and residents. Norworth could be so much better with a few changes in communication.
