We toured Vitalia in Westlake twice with my grandparents, and Katie was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was warm, welcoming, and made our entire family feel comfortable from the start. Exploring assisted living can be a very difficult and emotional process, and Katie approached everything with care and understanding. During the tour, she took the time to introduce my grandparents to several residents, which helped the community feel friendly and genuine rather than overwhelming. She has a very personable approach and truly cares about the people she works with. Overall, the experience was positive and reassuring, and Katie made a big difference for our family. She is a true asset to Vitalia, and we are grateful for how welcoming she made us feel.

About a month ago, we reached out for information about assisted living for my parents, and we were so fortunate to connect with Katie. She took the time to speak with me and really walk through what Vitalia has to offer, answering every question with patience and care. My sister and I scheduled a visit with Katie, and from the moment we walked in we instantly connected and felt at home. Katie made us feel truly welcome, listened to our parents’ current situation, and helped ease a lot of the stress that comes with making a big transition like this. Several members of the team stopped in to introduce themselves and welcome us, and the chef Eric even put out a beautiful cheese board, which was such a thoughtful touch. This transition has been a process, and Katie has been there every step of the way. She gave my dad a tour, made him feel completely comfortable, and even arranged lunch for him. She also scheduled a home visit to meet our mom, spending quality time answering questions and helping reduce the fear of moving. And just yesterday, Katie got our mom in for one of their fun happy hours, which made her feel included and excited. Katie is truly one of a kind. She understands the needs and concerns of seniors and the entire family. She’s warm, kind, and supportive in a way that’s rare to find. We are so grateful for her time and effort through this transition with our parents.

The only reason I'm not giving Vitalia Westlake 5 stars is because we have not had family in residence there. However, we went to tour and learn about the community and it was lovely. The representative who met with us, Ginny, was very knowledgeable, and she was not pushy in any way. She really took the time to listen to what we had to say, to get to know us, and to answer questions. The community was beautiful, and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. The residents that we came across while on our tour knew Ginny, and she knew them by name. We are not looking into Vitalia as an immediate move, but we were very impressed with it for down the road.

I really like the people who take care of my mother. Unfortunately they are so slow to attend to her when she needs attention. Understaffed? The dining room is so very unprofessional that we bring our own meals bc an hour for a salad is not acceptable. I visited today, there were 2 people behind the desk and neither of them greeted me at ALL! Management and nursing are never available to help with questions nor seem to be on the floor working. Always behind closed doors. We have literally seen/heard people told that the director is not in the facility SEVERAL TIMES yet seen her there!

Working through an agency, visiting various facilities can be overwhelming, as you never know what to expect. However, I must be transparent about my experience with Westlake's memory care last year, which was horrible. I vowed never to return to that facility. Almost a year later, I came back, but this time to the assisted living unit, which was a pleasant experience. Upon returning to the memory care unit, I was apprehensive, but after witnessing the changes made over the months, I was amazed. The residents were happy, the staff looked great, and communication had improved significantly. I was shocked by the transformation, and I must commend the wonderful staff for their caring attitude and compassion towards the residents. The staff efforts to implement changes quickly are also appreciated. I plan on returning.

I visited other places while searching for the best care for my loved one, but none compared to the warmth and dedication I found here. Make sure to get pricing for care fees up front. These can be exorbitant. Going through the contracted pharmacy is extremely high. I was never given a list of prices for various services. This would have been much appreciated. The initial folder with all the paperwork may have stated an automatic $300.00+/month price increase in rent after 1 year in residence. I did not see it. Therefore, I was caught off-guard when we had to pay. This is important to ask about. My family member was settled in after a year, it would have been very disruptive to go elsewhere.

My Dad (age 84) has been a resident at Vitalia Westlake for the past 6 months. He arrived after a lengthy hospitalization and rehab that had greatly diminished his physical and mental abilities. The Staff at Vitalia worked with us to determine the best level of care for him and to meet his new needs. I have found all of the Staff - from Direct Caregivers to the Dining Staff, Activities, Housekeeping and the Directors (Deborah Spiro and Adrianna Rosado) extremely kind, helpful and attentive! The facility itself is beautiful and sparkling clean. Dad’s room in the (Memory Care wing) is sunny, spacious and cozy. The food is very good and they are so welcoming of family members to dine with the residents. As an RN i especially appreciate the close communication the Memory Care Director Adrianna and the Nursing staff provide. If there are any concerns or changes with my Dad I’m notified right away. Also I can text the nurse on duty with any concerns and they respond promptly. I think this is a truly wonderful aspect of the care they provide! If you’re looking for the best Assisted Living Care on the Westside of Cleveland I urge you to tour Vitalia Westlake!

My Mother-in-Law moved out of her home of 60 years and into Westlake Vitalia Senior Residences almost one year ago. Prior to moving we were worried she wouldn't easily make friends...boy we were wrong!! Right from the start Vitalia staff made sure she was aware of every activity and event! She is so at home there and is living her BEST life. No more cooking for one, cleaning, or doing laundry. I personally was relieved to have THEM managing her meds instead of me! We also like the fact that we can drop by anytime and enjoy a meal with her. After living alone for about 3 year at home, she has blossomed since moving in there and being around others! The staff, EVERY DEPARTMENT, is AMAZING! We are just grateful each day to know that we don't have to worry about her every minute anymore. I can't even begin to describe all the events and outings the staff plan for the residents! If you're thinking about Vitalia Westlake follow them on FACEBOOK and you will see everything they do!

Vitalia Westlake Senior Residences is an amazing place. Not only is the physical environment beautiful and elegant, but the real gem here is the people. My husband spent his last year in the Memory Care area and the staff were loving, kind, thoughtful and became family to us. Their expertise was evident from administration to care partners to nursing staff, but their authentic love overshadowed all of that. They made us laugh in our grief and appreciated and valued Charlie as an individual. You could not find a better place for your loved one.

This is a upscale senior living community. They have staff for all levels of care but everything comes with a cost. $$$ When I first went there with my mother-in-law we were promised a lot but not everything promised was delivered. One thing we were promised is that her bed would be made every morning but this wasn't true. We were promised that my mother-in-law would not just sit around in her room. Vatalia stated that someone would make sure she would be introduced to other residents with similar interest and background and if they did not see her at dinner time a staff member would go down and make sure she had something to eat. Vitalia has not done this either. Vitalia stated that if my mother-in-law did not feel like coming down to the dining room a staff member would bring dinner to her. Although this was a true statement, it cost $5. Vitalia said they would supply everyday amenities such as toilet paper... they will for an additional cost. My mother-in-law pays over $4,500 a month for their services. I expected, and was promised, a lot more personal care then she receives.
