Our Mother has been at Abbington of Pickerington for 17 months. At first she was a little skeptical, but with the warm and caring staff, she now feels comfortable and safe. Our families feelings about Abbington of Pickerington’s staff, from the CEO through the house keeping is exceptional. Whatever the problem the staff has handled it an exemplary way. We would have no reserve in giving Abbington of Pickerington a 5 star rating, and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks to the staff for always being there!

The staff at Abbington have been amazing!!!! My mom had a rough transition coming from another facility, and they have gone out of their way to ensure she had a safe and happy transition. She receives care from everyone who helps her has exceeded our expectations, and we could not be more grateful. I live long distances, and knowing that my mom is safe and being treated like a queen puts my heart at ease.

My mother recently became a resident at Abbington. Of course she was nervous and we were all concerned; however, her transition to this next chapter of life has been seemless. She has a group of friends, the staff has been wonderful and the care has been outstanding. I recommend this lovely, homelike facility to anyone looking for assisted living at its best.

I absolutely recommended Abbington of Pickerington Assisted Living facility. Mom has been at Abbington of Pickerington for a year, I talk to mom 4 to 5 times a day by phone. Due to no fault of the facility we have been unable to enter moms room for all but 6 days of that time. We have dropped of pictures, furniture, bedding, clothing... your name it, the staff has carefully install it for my mom. When asked, mother always says she is well taken care for and loves the meals they serve. Mother loves her coffee and often enjoys a cup between meals, staff makes coffee using her single serve Keurig which I bought her for Christmas At 93 mom still loves interacting with fellow residents and enjoys the full calendar of activities. I was very pleased to see the events and activities that are provided... and resident that are able are encouraged to play cards, etc, at other times during the day and evening. Because of the difficult times we are all living in right now, I know how stressful that it is when something goes wrong, communication is difficult with our loved ones, they are not always able to speak for themselves. But I have never had one minute of concern for my mothers well being and care at Abbington of Pickerington. The nursing staff calls me every time they make any changes to her medication, or with anything else to report. Like a couple times mom has reported to them she ended up on the floor my her bed... staff immediately informs me. even though she was not hurt and was able to get herself up. Before coming to Abbington my mother fell twice at two other very nice facilities. Once shattering her left elbow and once breaking her neck - all while under the care and supervision of other Assisted Living Facilities. (Mother fell and broke her neck with a paid nurse standing right beside her} This was in a three month period... All my mother needed was the use of a rolling walker... (which I had provided and they did not give to her) I have no such concerns at Abbington... Abbington exceeds my expectations in everyway... I pray my mother will be able to live out her days at Abbington of Pickerington... The staff here has a difficult job even on a good day... I appreciate the care that is given to all residents. I know the staffs hearts desire is to give a residents the best possible care and end life experience. Think about it - could you do their job under the conditions we have had to deal with. I know I couldnt do it. Everything is not going to be perfect... I often ask myself would mother be better cared for in my own home, and the answer is NO - not even with round the clock nursing care, which we had considered. When I am in my mothers condition, I hope my children encourage me to be in a assisted living facility like Abbington. I think it is the best possible safe facility and care for my mother.

My Mom has been a resident at Abbington Pickerington for over 3 years. My Dad had passed and although my Mom is independent, she did need some assistance. Abbington Pickerington has been an angel! Knowing that my my Mom is safe is a relief I cannot put into words. Most facilities do have turn over but this facility has the absolutely most caring staff and Kim Freels is both professional and helpful. My Mom has nothing but positive feedback for all staff and her experiences at Abbington. Trust me, if she was not happy she would tell me. I highly recommend Abbington Pickerington for loved ones that need an assistant living facility.

My mother was at Abbington a few years ago until her needs were greater than Abbington could accommodate. We loved every minute she was there. The staff is amazing, the facility is spotless, her care was fabulous. So much so, that when my Father needed assisted living, I did not hesitate to call Abbington. If you are considering Abbington for your familys needs, I would highly recommend. A+ in my book. I told my kids when I need assisted living, do not hesitate to call Abbington 🙂

I am replying to a negative review that was written by my younger sister earlier about the facility. My sister had limited experience and very few actual visits to Abbington during our moms stay. I believe her negative review was emotionally charged and I dont believe the facility deserved the negative review. Myself, my other sisters and my wife (a medical professional), had a very positive experience with our moms stay at Abbington, Pickerington. The facility is very clean, the staff was extremely professional, friendly and customized their service delivery to the individual needs of each resident. My wife and I were there on a regular basis and the performance and responsiveness of the staff was fantastic. They truly cared for my mom in the compassionate approach that everyone would want for their aging parent. I normally dont write reviews, neither positive or negative, however I felt compelled to do so in this case. We had a very positive experience with Abbington and I would strongly recommend you consider the facility for your aging relatives.

Abbington has been a great fit for my mother! Brenda provides a wide variety of activities for residents. Staff and administration is wonderful and treat residents like family. All my mothers needs are taken care of in Abbington!

After the initial tour, my mom said to me "That placed seemed too go to be true didn't it?" I agree, it really did seem to good to be true, but now that she's all moved in, we KNOW that the Abbington is a "Top Notch" facility, cheerful, clean, roomy and with the best staff and residents EVER!

My aunt has been a resident at Abbington of Pickerington for over six years now. It was a difficult transition for her at the age of 62 but the staff helped her through it. The Abbington staff and nurses are always kind and friendly to her and have become her friends and family. Her physical well-being is always prioritized and cleanliness of the facility is always reassuring. I would definitely recommend (and have recommended) Abbington as a great place to live for those that cannot live on their own any longer.

My mom has been residing at Abbington of Pickerington for almost 10 years. As far as Im concerned it is the best place she has ever lived. She has made many friends there that constantly show their affection towards her for her and the staff is outstanding in their care of my mom. Abbington has been a blessing for our family.

I can not say enough about Abbington. beautiful home, screened porches and wonderful indoor and outdoor areas for residents. Most important, The Staff! they are amazing. everyone was so kind and helpful. My mom had a hard time leaving her home and everyone at abbington went above and beyond to help her transition. She called it home before long. plenty of activities, trips and events. Christmas was our favorite! Heather and Jennifer where there to help in any way! They truly do care for the residents and form strong bonds with the residents and the families. If you have a loved one who is looking for a wonder place to live and needs some extra help, I would recommend Abbington of Pickerton to anyone!
