My mom recently moved into the assisted living facility at St Clare Commons. My family and I weren’t sure how she would do since this wasn’t her home. But my mom has just settled right in and she loves it there. She helps other residents whenever she can and she is involved in all the activities. This facility has been a godsend to my family and my mom. It’s very nice inside. The food is delicious. And all of the activities are thought out and well organized. The nursing staff is great! My one and only complaint is that I wish the communication between the staff and family was better. I think some kind of platform where you could reach out to them would be very helpful. My experience with Melissa in billing has been very positive. I especially appreciate Colleen Fisher who has been absolutely amazing. She has been there for me and my family through the entire process. She is a wonderful person.

I accompanied a friend on a tour of the facilities because she wanted a second set of eyes who had experience with assisted living. (My friends parents are currently in independent living at another facility but are needing more care) Colleen Fisher gave our tour and she was great. She was able to answer questions about how they can transition 2 people with very different needs but still accommodate them in the same building. She also answered specific questions pertaining to finances, drs, and social challenges. The entire time, she was still acknowledging residents by name and with a smile. On a personal note this has been very stressful for my friend and within minutes of meeting and starting the tour I could see her relax and realize that not only does she have options but someone to walk her through those options.

My first visit to Saint Clare Commons I was in awe of the beautiful chapel just inside the front door. The weekly church services and various prayer services has made a lasting impression on me. I can’t say enough good things about St. Clare Commons. The food is consistently excellent”fresh, flavorful, and something residents genuinely look forward to every day. Beyond that, the life enrichment programs are truly meaningful, offering a wide range of engaging activities that bring joy, purpose, and connection to residents’ lives. What stands out the most, though, is the staff and leadership. The team is incredibly caring, compassionate, and attentive, and the leadership is dedicated, hands-on, and genuinely invested in both residents and staff. As an outsider visiting a friend at St. Clare Commons, I was immediately struck by the incredibly welcoming atmosphere that permeates the entire facility. From the moment I stepped inside, there was a palpable sense of peace and comfort. The common areas are beautifully maintained, bright, and clearly designed for both relaxation and social interaction. Every corner I observed was spotless, reflecting a commitment to order and cleanliness that is truly impressive and contributes greatly to a feeling of well-being for residents and visitors alike. What truly impressed me was the genuine kindness and attentiveness of the staff I observed. Interactions with residents seemed to be filled with respect, patience, and a genuine desire to assist. My friend spoke highly of their daily care, and I could see firsthand the positive, supportive community atmosphere. St. Clare Commons feels less like a facility and more like a true home where people are valued and cared for with dignity. My brothers and I made the decision to have my 84 yr old mom to moved into in an independent living at St Clare Commons. This has been a great experience. She has bloomed into a very social person and is never in her room. She visits all of the other residents and takes her little dog with her, and the dog has turned into a huge hit. The dog lovers absolutely love her and everyone knows the dogs mom. It is such a huge relief to know my mom is just not happy but very safe. She goes on about how good the food is and she gets lots of steps in on a daily basis, which has helped her outlook. The staff have very kind and attentive to her needs and her uncertainty during the first month of her living there. She has had to have maintenance come down for thing like her tv not working , user issue, and the kindness extended to mom is appreciated. This has been a great experience for not just mom and her dog, but for all of us who love her as well.

My mother came to this facility on 4-23-24 for rehab and is now long-term assisted living. It was and still is a work in progress with the nursing staff,but overall it's improving and is a real nice facility. Their food and dining area is very good and the facility is very well kept.

Nicole has been absolutely wonderful to work with. She has gone above and beyond to help in any way possible, and was able to get my family member accepted at St Clare, when I was struggling through the process to find them a place to live. She always has a smiling face and is friendly to the patients, their families, and anyone she comes across. There aren’t many people like her that are so willing to help with whatever is needed. I truly appreciate her and I hope that if you’re considering St Clare, that you will enjoy meeting her as well! She made this move easy!

I had a large private room and my own bathroom with lots of closet space! The food is delicious, with many options available to ensure you get what you will like. The physical, occupational, and speech therapy teams were excellent. What happened to me to come to in-patient therapy? I took a fall backward down 8 stairs!!! The therapy teams got me walking unaided, strengthened my body, and worked with me on basic living skills. Additionally, speech therapy helped me speak more clearly and enunciate better! They helped a great deal with my memory, which I am so thankful for! My arrival process was really smooth and easy thanx to the young lady that does that job Nicole!! She made me feel very welcome and comfortable, and then she would swing by once or twice a week during my first month here: to answer any questions, to make sure everything was good or just to say HI. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. I highly recommend the facility to anyone who needs the help!!!!

My mom is there for rehab after a hospital stay and several surgeries. I can not say enough great things about the nursing staff and the therapy staff. They are friendly, patient, caring and have great communication with the families and the facility is very clean. My mom is a very picky eater and the dietary staff has been great about working with her to find things they she will eat.

My mom has been a resident in Memory Care at St. Clare Commons for a year now, and I couldn't be more pleased with the level of care she receives. The new directors who have joined in the past year are incredibly friendly and have truly made a positive impact. I have full confidence in the care my mother receives, and it's reassuring to know that her needs are being met with such kindness. The food is delicious, and I appreciate that I can join my mom for meals. The New Director of assisted living and memory care is highly experienced and has done an excellent job training the staff to provide compassionate care for my mother. I recently recommended St. Clare Commons to my brother, who will be undergoing surgery and therapy afterward. His excitement after the tour was evident, and I'm grateful to have found such a welcoming community for our family. My grandpa is in this place right now and we are all impressed. He was at another facility before this and had developed bed sores and his garbage was over flowing in his room. The people at St Clare are friendly and caring. It has been so stressful trying to get my grandpa in a place that was a good fit. Most importantly, they are keeping in clean and comfortable. I think the last place was so bad he would have died if we didn’t take him out. I didn’t read other reviews for this place. They don’t matter to me. Our experience has been amazing. I won’t mention the other place because our experience may not be representative of how the place is. Thank you for taking care of my grandfather and giving our family such relief. The place is clean, beautiful, inviting and cozy.

Facility is very clean and pleasant once you enter, huge management turn over and nursing staff turn over- front desk is not manned every day- all day- medications are not given in a timely fashion. Charting is not up to date/ food is a constant issue- MIL is a handful, but we have had issues since we moved her in only reason she is still there, complaints at other facilities are worse- this is a terrible issue city wide- refusal to bath, take meds or eating has never been reported to family members, lack of proper communication is ridiculous- follow up with staffing and management is almost non existent.

My mother was at this facility and the care was amazing! Yes we had sum bumps in the road but with communicating with the director James Curran and staff we were able to work through . Not impressed with the competence of the staff. I have come to believe that the management lacks knowledge and expertise in long term care which is what my mom needs. As the result of that it is not possible for the rest of the staff to provide the appropriate care or be accountable. I think that the focus is on assisted living and that the long term care unit exists to draw people into assisted living. People are more likely to choose a place based on the ability to transition into a higher level of care when it becomes necessary. I am aware of the frequent turnover in nursing staff which reflects directly back on management. I have extensive experience in long term care in 2 states. My hope is that at some point the regional leadership will pay attention to the record of public complaints to the state department of health and the online reviews, they will care about reputation and possess the required knowledge to initiate changes. The best feature is the aesthetic environment. It is a beautiful facility and does not look like an institution. So the decision was made to remain and family will visit every day to ensure appropriate care is being provided to our loved one.

I spent 4 1/2 weeks at St. Clare Commons recovering from a major medical issue. After some initial confusion, I settled in and enjoyed my stay. The aides, nurses, and rehab team that looked after me were great- especially Sylvia, "Noodles", Heather, Emily, Kayla, Mario, Sarah and Amber. The food was great, and the ambiance of the building was pleasing. It was a very positive environment and helped me to quickly recover enough to go home! thank you!

Beautiful facility with excellent food, according to my father. However, he has fallen several times and staff seem to not notice or care. We had to ask them to bring him a walker. His fingernails are soooo long and no one cuts them or helps him shower. He watches TV all day. Nursing director never returns our calls. Social worker lost his Medicaid paperwork and we had to resubmit after she sent all the materials to the wrong county. Staff are hard to locate. It's been a subpar experience and I do not recommend this place.

My father was in the rehab unit for 6 weeks. The staff were caring and friendly and would go out of their way to meet patient needs. Aids were very busy but always accommodating. Nursing staff gave listening ear to family concerns as well as the patients. Overall much caring and empathy. Could hire a few more for nursing staff as they were very busy and tied up w "other patients" at times. A sign of the times... keeping good staff. The food was between head chefs and understand it is really good now. Physical therapy and occupational therapy were excellent getting patients ready for discharge with very friendly attitudes. The plus at St Clare is the spiritual needs that are met by a kind , caring spirituality team in the Franciscan sisters. Activities were offered on a regular basis that kept smiles on faces. Very clean, quiet surroundings that offered needed time for healing.

This is a top notch place, very very clean, some of the staff do seem to be grumpy, but dont let a few bad apples sway you from coming here, large very beautiful facility, the grounds are well kept, and I do believe this facility has a Starbucks inside as well, it is very much at the top of the list.

As a visitor, the facility was very clean, neat, attended well by the employees. We used a lovely main gathering room/dining area to have a birthday family dinner for our Mom. I've observed good meals / choices for the patients.

Beautiful facility with marginal care. Our Mother gained 70 pounds in the first year in the memory unit. She was frequently not bathed and we were told by the staff that "she didn't want to take a shower" and they accepted that. The residents receive virtually no stimulation and watch television hours on end.
