My husband & I are happy to write a review for Briar Hill! We cannot say enough kind words concerning the interaction & quality care my mother-in-law received. Betty, Matthew's mother began her time at this location in the Memory Care Unit. The staff realized after some time a change was needed and she was moved to the assisted living quarter. The memory care staff was excellent, and the supervisor was calm, friendly and proficient. She knew what she was doing and we appreciated all she did as well as the nurses and aides in that unit. The assisted living unit was as professional and capable. Betty received quality care and they exceeded our expectations and we feel they went above and beyond helping us with her meds. As Betty was nearing the end of her life, they were exceptional with the care and kindness. The nurses were especially kind when they would call Matt to communicate and update him how she was doing. I know the two I individuals I called most were Stephanie, whose personality is wonderful and she is so helpful. She was our first contact and what a blessing she was and is! The second individual is Riley. If one ever needs financial information or assistance, she is without a doubt the one to go to! Without Riley I do not believe I would have been able to complete everything that was requested for Medicaid. She is willing to walk one through it and contact family services if needed. Riley always knew the answer when I had to call about something I received in the mail. We were fortunate to have Briar Hill for Betty and the care she received~ we are forever grateful to the entire staff at this facility. Thank you to all!

My mom has been at briar Hill since may 15ish of 2025 . She came from another facility after falling there and prior to that she had an ivh (hemorrhage in the brain). We were absolutely terrified to place our mom in another nursing facility but had no choice, but she has improved so much at briar Hill !!! A couple weeks ago she wasnt doing so well and with quick thinking they sent her out to see why she started to decline and if it wasnt for Alyssa and staff being aware of their patients and knowing them and caring she could have gotten worse then she was!! This has become my second home since my mom has been here and everyone is so welcoming and caring! I can't say enough about how much we appreciate briar hill!! Our mom has a routine and we can talk to staff very easily if we have concerns or worries and they are addressed promptly as well!!

Briar Hill’s wonderful atmosphere comes from being a loving, small town facility with small town values. The staff are friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. The activities and outings are so enjoyable for the residents. My mother has been a resident for over three years and wouldn’t dream of moving to a different place. It’s like a family.

Briar Hill is a great place for your loved ones. The staff are kind, caring, courteous, and friendly. My aunt, who is 97 years old, is in the memory care unit. When we go to see her all the staff we see along the way say hello or wave with a smile. When we get to the Legacy Lane wing they greet us by name and with a smile. They tell us how my aunt has been doing since we last visited without us asking for an update. If my aunt has any issues they call and talk us through what happened and what their response was. If there are options going forward so the issue doesn’t happen again they also walk us through those to find out what we want to do. My aunt has been there for almost three years. She is happy and we don’t need to worry about her anymore. We know she is in loving, caring hands which has taken a great burden off our shoulders. Thank you Briar Hill!

My Mom needed help as she had Alzheimer's. She lived in Ohio and I live in California. She truly wanted to stay in Ohio to be near her sisters, and I wanted to honor her wishes to remain there. It so happened that my Aunt was going into this facility at the same time, so the two shared an apartment--this was so great, since I live far away! The Team there at Briar Hill are top notch, always providing me reports on Mom's activities, prompt alerts to any illness she had, and quarterly meetings with all Directors (Nursing, Social Work, Activities, Accounting) to review her stay and answer any/all questions I had. They are excellent in what they do, prompt and so caring. Mom recently passed and I'm happy to know that she was extremely well cared for & loved by all, in her last 1.5 years of her life. Thanks so much, Briar Hill Team for your excellent skills and big hearts!

My father had a few rehab stays at Briar Hill. He left his last stay saying how much he liked it there and how good they were to him. He also loved their food. Having three good meals a day, helped with his recovery. The staff addressed concerns promptly and answered all our questions. Thank you helping our dad through his rehab.

My brother-in-law was the resident in the rehab wing. The facility was very clean. He had severe mobility issues and the staff was always very patient in moving him, answering his calls and going about daily routine. The department heads held patient care meetings with us to keep us updated on all areas of care. The business office also answered all questions and helped obtain medical and insurance information to keep us updated on his progress. Would highly recommend this facility to anyone needing this care

I am very thankful for Briar Hill. The staff is warm and friendly. My mother received superior physical therapy for her leg strength. She came to Briar Hill with extensive wounds on her right leg. The facility has a wound care specialist on the medical team. Now her wounds are completely healed. We couldn’t be happier. My mother has decided to make Briar Hill her permanent home. The administrative team made sure that my mother would be content moving to a double occupancy room. They worked diligently to find a roommate that would be a great match. Now we are enjoying an extended family atmosphere meeting new people. Don’t hesitate to give Briar Hill a call to check out the facility for your loved one’s care. You will be glad you did.

Briar Hill Health Campus in North Baltimore is wonderful place for your loved one to get the care they need whether long term or for Rehab. The staff is very friendly, courteous and helpful. They greet you with a smile and make you feel like you are family. They provide many activities for their residents throughout the week and encourage the residents to participate, which I am glad so my loved isn’t just sitting in her room. They have different theme weeks throughout the year and get the residents and families involved. I especially enjoy their casino night and come to participate with our loved one so we can be together and have some fun. We always enjoy the summer picnic. The nursing staff keeps you informed if there is something going on that needs to be addressed. The housekeeping staff is thorough in keeping the residents room clean and sanitized. The Physical Therapy Department does an awesome job keeping my loved one’s upper body moving as she is wheelchair bound and helps her to be more mobile. Every second Sunday they have a brunch where you can eat with your loved one and the food is delicious. My loved one has been here five years and I wouldn’t want her anywhere else but here.

I love this place! my mom is in assisted living and gets great care. Both my parents were there until my dad passed. They get so much love and care from the staff. Mom enjoys the activities and the outings. My mother-in-law is there too and thriving. I have gotten to know many of the staff and residents and get any questions I have answered. I do have the advantage of my daughter working there but I would recommend this facility to everyone looking for short or long term care!

I have been staying at this facility since May and I cannot say enough great things about the staff here. Everyone here is very caring and compassionate that go above and beyond to help me and every person living here. It does not matter what department they are in, every person here is always willing to lend a helping hand. I would recommend this place to anyone.

My 92 year old mother was scheduled to stay in respite for 1 week in their memory care.A personal family situation required Mom stay an additional week. During that period my husband and I were able to visit a couple of times. Mom was perfectly content, enjoying meals, engaged in her personal activities, well dressed and groomed. Upon leaving, Mom’s room and entire environment was noted to be neat and spotless. Mom mentioned having a, new friend as she smiled at another resident. Nursing care was outstanding, and they mentioned Mom cooperated well with showers( which she has fears and objection to.)Nursing staff interacted with Mom as if they had known her, and enjoyed her company for ages. She obviously adored them all. It is difficult finding a good fit and comfort when placing a parent with dementia in a nursing facility. I would have no qualms in allowing my mother to stay in Briar Hill for respite or long term. The staff and facility are exceptional!

My grandma has lived at Briar Hill since 2019. She is feisty and ornery but the staff still treat her as their own. My family and I love having the peace of mind knowing she is well taken care of!

I want to tell everyone out there that if they need rehab, or long-term care...this is the place! Awesome care, loving staff, homelike setting where patients are loved, cared for, included and part of a family! So many activities, outings, and most important is that each patient is treated like they are the only patient. The best thing that has ever happened to my loved one who needed long term care. She is totally thriving since coming to Briar Hill! I live several hours away, and am always kept up to date on progress, problems, health issues etc. I have peace of mind that the best care is being given to my loved one and also to me! Again, I cannot stress enough how fortunate I feel that Briar Hill is here and would highly recommend to anyone trying to navigate the hard discission of placing a family member into a long-term care situation, or rehab, that this is the best choice you could make for you and your family member!
