Doesn't share patient process in physical therapy. Asked for physic nurse to call no response, called the doctor the nursing home uses no response in return. Don't seem to want to listen about previous conditions,. Patient has fallen twice with the second fall resulting in a broken hip.

Altercare Newark North has been a breath of fresh air with my mother-in-laws care. We had to transfer to a nursing home after being an inpatient in hospice care at a hospital in Franklin County. We moved to her to a care facility that had extremely high reviews and it was a total nightmare. After trying to five days to get her moved we transferred to Altercare Newark North and Absolute hospice care and they have been amazing. Hannah, Kala, Mya, Kevin and her techs (I wish I knew all their names) they have been so responsive and letting us know what is going on. My MIL is completely dependent for every drink of water and evening moving her for comfort. They put her next to the nurses station so she would be in constant sight. It was great to be able to leave and not have to worry that her needs would be met. The STNAs she has had are so caring and comforting to her. Absolute Hospice has also been nothing short of amazing. Dr. Petryk, Wendi, Beth, and Cody. They are super responsive and when we call they are there quickly and are in constant communications with each other and us. I feel thankful for all of you. Thank you for making this roller coaster we have been on the best it can be. Please keep up what you are doing and truly caring about your patients and their families.

Nurses are kind, knowledgeable about their residents, and communicate changes in conditions of residents. The facility is clean. I would highly recommend Altercare Newark North to anyone looking for a nursing home.

I had a good experience as a patient. The thepary team was excellent. The food was excellent, when I couldn't eat something they had other options available. Many activities offered daily I enjoyed socializing with others.

My mother is well taken care of at this facility she really likes it there has made a lot of friends. The staff and nurses are very good too. Jessica does an excellent job making sure the patients have things to do and places to go.

The Social Service Director, aides & nurses are wonderful & caring! Food service & laundry are good & some of the housekeeping staff do a great job while others are mediocre. The issue is that there isn't enough staff to not be overworked & be able to do more or better. More help is needed everywhere & the dementia unit needs cleaned up, cleaned out & to not be forgotten, tho this seems like an issue at most homes or at least the for profit ones.
