It was a very hard, but necessary, decision to move my husband to a facility. Our family could not be more pleased with Governor's Point. The entire staff is exceptionally hard working and caring. I have never been to a facility that feels more like home. Our friends actually ask us, "How did you find this place? It is so nice!" A friend who's brother lives there is the person who recommended Governor's Point to our family. We would certainly recommend it to anyone who needs to be in an Assisted Living facility.

We hear horror stories of other assisted living places for loved ones & we are so glad we choose Governor's Pointe to help with our mother's daily needs. Our Mom enjoys the very friendly staff, creative events, activities & care she receives. We are very happy that she is being well taken care of per her medicines, bathing & well being. Governor's Pointe has totally transformed my mother back to the person she used to be physically and mentally. The surroundings and staff make her, and us, feel that it is HOME not a cold institution. I only have one problem---I can never reach her on the phone! Why? Because she is so busy every day with daily activities and outside entertainment.

I highly recommend Governor's Point for anyone who is seeking cat for their parents or loved ones. My mother was very against going into any type of nursing home but once she got in there & settled, she loved the places. Clean, well trained staff and very communicative. I was very pleased with the treatment and care my mother received!

If you are looking for a great place for a loved one, Governor's Pointe is the best. Our mother has only been at Governor's Pointe for about two months and we don't have any complaints. After moving our mother for the third time, we have found a wonderful place in Mentor, Governor's Pointe. Everyone that works at Governor's Pointe is caring, kind and they really love what they do. Every since our mother has been at Governor's Pointe, our mother has met a lot of caregivers and employees that work at Governor's Pointe and she can't say enough good things about each one of them. Our mother is so happy to be at Governor's Pointe and we are also. Our mother said the food is great too and they also have many activities that the residents can participate in. They have Bingo, do crafts, go on field trips (lunch at Olive Garden or field trip to Walmart and many more) have a trivia time, exercise class and rosary as well as other activities. Can't thank all the employees at Governor's Pointe who make this place so wonderful!

This assisted living facility was fantastic. My 92 year old mother had been in and out of hospitals and rehab facilities and needed help getting back to full strength. The first week was full of new friends, great meals and good activities. Mom had a smile each time I visited and gained five pounds. Sadly, after day 8 her heart began to give out and she just wanted to stay in her room. The attendants at the facility helped to make her comfortable and helped to get hospice involved. Mom passed on her 20th day at the facility but all her needs were met. The families needs were met too in that we could bring in pizza or lunch to the community room and eat in shifts while keeping mom company and comfortable. What a great facility and personnel and they met every one of our needs. I highly recommend Governors Pointe.

My family and I are very pleased with our selection of Governor's Pointe for Mom's assisted living home. If searching for a similar place for your loved one, we highly recommend Governor's Pointe. We are confident that Mom is getting the best possible assisted living care in a clean, small, homey, residential environment. Governor's Pointe is well-managed by executives and administrators who participate also in the direct care of residents. It has a great ratio of competent and compassionate direct care staff and dedicated nurses who are long term employees. Turnover is low, which means the employees of Governor's Point are treated as well as the residents by executives and managers. Residents have superb physical, mental, emotional and social care. The activities program has been great for Mom, who is a shy person now very much involved in the activities' programs. Great place that does a fantastic job! One of the hidden gems in Lake county for assisted living. People really care and are friendly here. Have had a family member here for over a year. A lot of activity and care for them. Easy to recommend this facility for your loved ones if they need help in their senior years.

My sweet 97 yr old mom has been there since July 2023 due to a fall. She had been with us since 2015 and I enjoyed being her caretaker, even when it was incredibly tough. My decision was made for me by God to move her here after the fall she had and she could no longer be here. My heart was torn but had no choice. My mom absolutely loves it at Governors pointe . The care is amazing. The staff is too and they go above and beyond caring for their residents. My mom was simply alive at my house. She is living life now there. I can’t thank the staff- everyone of them- for loving my momma better than expected. She loves all of them so much! Her heart is happy! Beth Hughes

The care, food and activities are amazing. In just a few short days the staff knew what my parents needs were and was able to make the appropriate plans to care for them. My parents are enjoying the social activities and I can always follow what they have been doing on Facebook. They are really enjoying living there and the care is fantastic!

My father has enjoyed his stay at GP. The staff is friendly and welcoming to my family when we come and visit. We had one minor incident that they took very seriously, were very responsive and communicative. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place for a loved one.

Governor’s Pointe is an amazing facility; we could not have found a better spot for our father. The atmosphere is that of a big family where the residents are treated like the parents and grandparents of the employees. Our father thrived at Governor’s Pointe - we are truly blessed to have found a place of this caliber in the heart of Mentor.

My mother became a resident of Governor's Pointe a month ago. I was concerned about not being able to tour any facilities because of the pandemic. Fortunately, I could not be happier with the care she is receiving at Governor's Pointe. The staff is very caring, friendly, and compassionate. My mother tells me repeatedly how nice and helpful the staff is with anything she needs. The staff is quick to respond to any questions I have in regards to my mother's care and were extremely helpful with making this transition smooth and less stressful for my mother and myself. She enjoys participating in the daily activities that are provided to the residents. Knowing that she is happy, safe and active has definitely made this transition easier for everyone.

Governor’s Pointe in Mentor, Ohio is second to none. My Mother Helen has been at GP for 20 years and the staff throughout those years (many staff members are still there, which speaks volumes in my eyes) have made her feel like family. The level of care, concern, friendliest and love that each and every member of GP provides to my Mother and the other residents gives me peace of mind knowing she is in good hands. I am writing to let you know how very wonderful your entire staff has been with my Mom. Since she entered Governor's Pointe on December 31st, she has really transitioned into a very happy person and so much of that I attribute to the kindness, attention, patience and caring of your staff. From the nurses to the housekeeping, to the chefs, servers, physical therapist, aides, Bob the maintenance man, Becky the activities director, Christine (receptionist?) and of course yourself, everyone has met or exceeded our expectations. I hope that I did not overlook anyone in that list (it is late), but I just want you to know that we so very much appreciate each and every person that has helped and continues to help my Mom feel safe, comfortable and important. The happiness of your residents is a good indicator of what an awesome job your staff does on a daily basis. It is really comforting to know that she is cared for and in good company.
