I strong advise against using Aberdeen for your parents. The administration is extremely rude and disrespectful and will blatantly ignore concerns that you bring to their attention. They make countless mistakes in medication administration and billing. The nursing director is far more interested in getting an attitude and arguing with people, than she is in actually caring for the residents. Extremely poor care and staff behavior.

We had some extremely awful experiences at Aberdeen. They deliberately ignored doctor instructions and overdrugged my mom, leading to her going unresponsive and being hospitalized for months, which she never recovered from. After bringing her home on hospice, the staff took poor care of her. When I reached out to the administration regarding my concerns on how she was cared for in her final days, they refused to even acknowledge my concerns or answer my questions, instead blatantly ignoring me over and over again. This was after years of medication mistakes and after poor treatment of my dad in his final days as well. The lack of professionalism and care for the residents is horrifying. The director of nursing is also extremely unprofessional, rude, and behaves like a child when called out on her mistakes. Additionally, when they sent me a refund check, it bounced, and none of the administration would respond to me regarding what happened or getting a new check. When I finally talked to somebody, they said they don't have to talk to me anymore because my parents have passed and are no longer living there.

Wonderful, gorgeous community with smiles everywhere. Management team will always try to meet your expectations, very grateful mom found a place like this.

Please don't entrust your loved one to this horrible place they claim is an Assisted Living facility. They DO NOT and WILL NOT assist. Your family member will buzz for help and will be left to wait and wait and wait.... (sometimes the staff will never show up). My mother was one of only 3 residents there that didn't have dementia, (we specifically asked about amount of residents w/ dementia beforehand and they lied to us...one of the many lies they told...another lie was their response time to residents call button). So my mother could tell us of the reality of living at Aberdeen Crossings. Her main issue was mobility and breathlessness. She would be left sitting in the dining room waving for assistance back to her room and staff would make eye contact and ignore her...or talk snotty to her and then make her sit and wait more. This is not just one occasion, this was ongoing for 3 months. I spent every week on the phone relating this to the director, [name removed] and rather than addressing and fixing the issue with her staff she would gaslight both myself and mother telling us that we are both wrong and the staff logged their response time at 8 minutes! Week after week I would email and text her and the gaslighting would continue...all the way to the day my mother had to use the bathroom and after buzzing for help and noone coming, she attempted to go to the bathroom by herself. She fell and broke her arm and laid on the bathroom floor until they finally found her. One week later, she passed away...due to lack of assistance and neglect by staff after the fall. Their hospice staff (Miracle City) drugged her up so she was unable to eat and drink and Aberdeen left her to sit in a recliner for a week until she passed away. My brother and I were left helpless and in the dark by Hospice (they claimed she needed to be drugged to barely conscience for pain relief and that they were going to decrease drugs so she was conscious but they never did) Her hospice nurse [name removed] told us she was fine and then she passed away that night without her family there. Please, I beg you to steer clear of Aberdeen Crossings...all they are concerned about is the money, not the residents. It was 90 days of hell there that I wouldn't wish on anyone. [name removed] and Aberdeen staff...don't bother to respond to this with....Oh, we are sorry your experience didn't live up to your expectations...we just loved your mother and we let her pet a dog once and we saw her smile! Enough of your BS. I don't know how you sleep at night.

Looked at no less then 10 institutions, by far the best one. Great culture and caring attitude from the entire staff. Would highly recommend. Waited to review to see if our decision was still sound after 30 days. Everyday our decision is reinforced by the wonderful management team and general staff. Thanks for making a difficult transition into a positive one.

Beautiful facility with wonderful staff. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for an AL.

Staff are really friendly and a lot of staff have been there for a while. Very clean and smells good. Places we toured before had a bad smell to them. Sue at the desk is truly amazing and helpful. Jocelyn and Ashley are always available if needed for concerns or conversations. Ed in the kitchen has the best desserts. Andrea always plans the best outings. Hoover has fixed things right away when we have informed them of something that has broken. Linda is so friendly when we see her in the hallways. Couldn't have asked for a better place for my loved one!

Phenomenal assisted living facility! Every staff member is always friendly and they provide quality care. Management is very involved and accommodating. Around the clock activities for residents, there is always something going on for them to do. The facility is well maintained and very clean.

If you're reading this you're probably in the same panic position I was in about 2 months ago. After a medical emergency and 2 weeks in the hospital, my 90 year old dad was left unable to live at home by himself any longer. I was scrambling to find a solution. I looked at all the new flashy mega-homes and I thought that one of them was going to be the answer. In the last few days before we had to make a move we were referred to Aberdeen Crossing by The Senior Care Authority (who also deserve credit). When we walked in, it immediately felt like home. My brother and I made the decision that this would be the place. I was still laying in bed awake at night worrying if I had made the right decision. After almost 2 months now, I'm sure that we did. The people here are like a family. Everyone made dad feel welcome. (He loves that everyone almost immediately knew him by name!) Don't get me wrong; with such a big change, of course there is going to be an a adjustment period for your loved one, but rest assured they will relax and settle in. Special thanks to Sue, Ashley, Linda Jocelyn, Hoover, Malachi, and everyone else there at Aberdeen who has made this difficult period in his life a good experience. They actually ARE as nice and caring as they seemed on the first day I met them.

I would like to take out the time to say Aberdeen Crossing is such a friendly welcoming place I came across workers with a warmful greeting such as Sue Beni, Jocelyn Zidar Ashley Sorota, Gabrielle LoConti Barbara (housekeeper). These group of ladies shows compassionate care the staff here is great and really seems to care about the residents. Thanks for being so AWESOME

My dad is happy here

My husband has been at Aberdeen Crossings for 4 months now and we couldn't ask for a better place to be! Staff has been so friendly and caring with my husband. Any issues I have seen have been taken care of right away. The food for the most part has been pretty good but not as good as his wife's cooking! Thank you Aberdeen and the staff for everything!
May 2023
I have been coming to Aberdeen for years as hospice nurse! The staff has always been amazing and friendly, great communication with the management team when it comes to the patients care! I truly appreciate them allowing me to come here!
May 2023
This is an exceptional facility! We picked this community because of word-of-mouth, and referrals. We placed my father in this facility and he is making a lot of friends and he is very happy. I would definitely recommend this to our family and friends. My mother, when she was alive in a different facility, we definitely have one of those horror stories that you hear so many times with assisted living. At Aberdeen, however, I really have to say all of the staff are absolutely fantastic. My father is so happy, and other family members have been moving in as well. Regardless, with my mother, something happened that we cannot prove. We got the state involved and all they know is something did in fact happen, but we can't prove what. Even though there was obvious abuse that my mother had to get emergency surgery, 2 different attorneys said we would have wasted a lot of money and got nowhere with a lawsuit from where she was. Aberdeen is the exception to so many facilities that I've heard and experienced so many horror stories, but Aberdeen is fantastic! My father has been there since March, 2023. He is happy. I have never seen such amazing staff. Friendly, willing to help, and go out of their way for residents. I cannot say enough good things about Aberdeen! Oh, my father, a very picky, old-fashioned Italian from Italy, LOVES the food. They really are wonderful. I was expecting to start out good like the place my mother was, and then start to fizzle out. Nope! We made a fantastic choice with Aberdeen. My wife (a Registered Nurse specializing in nursing homes in memory care), and I were talking about moving my father in with us. He said No and he really likes it there. What more can I ask for? Definitely take a serious look into Aberdeen assisted living. My father is 89 years old now. We obviously want his last years to be happy. There really is something really special about the staff. I don't care what time of day, and what shift, my father is happy. Whatever they are doing, I hope they never change it.

My 97-year-old mother-in-law has lived at Aberdeen Crossings for 4 years now. It has been hard to adequately judge how things are going based on the reports of a woman who cannot seem to fully understand that food prepared in ANY institution is not going to taste like what she used to make for herself nor like what she can get in her favorite restaurant, and the cleaning people will never meet her high personal expectations, especially now that her lack of mobility limits her world to spending a lot of time in her chair just thinking about how much better she thinks she could do things if she only she could. So I was particularly pleased the other day when, without prompting, she shared how much she appreciates the staff there and how well they take care of her. Then the very next day I took her to a doctor's appointment on what happened to be her birthday. As we walked through the door on our return, three staff people who happened to be in the lobby or walking by stopped, called out her name, and burst into the happy birthday song! We were both touched. I think that anywhere we could have placed my mother-in-law would have occasional staffing shortages or individual staff members that don't work out but whose shortcomings can't be judged until they are there for a bit. And again, no place is going to have restaurant level food or please so many people's preferences or palettes (although I will mention that number of food options appear to have improved in the last year). Regardless, from administration to care staff, they have always been willing to listen to, and attend to, our concerns. We have been pleased.
November 2021
The food and care is really sub par. The food is horrible and if you are a vegetarian forget it. They act like yogurt and fresh fruits and vegetables are some kind of impossible things to obtain. My mom needed a lot of assistance and no matter what we did or who we hired extra it wasn't enough. They should not continue to take people who are very debilitated if they cannot take care of them. I finally moved my mom to another facility where she is getting the care she needs.
March 2020
My father moved to Aberdeen in May and easily adjusted. The staff is caring and efficient. He likes the food, the company, the outings, and the social activities. The facility is clean and pleasant.
March 2020
Finding an assisted living home for a family member can be difficult and emotional, but after touring Aberdeen Crossings, I was sure that my family member would receive the care they need. Since then, theyve enjoyed the personalized care, cleanliness, food, activities and caregivers.

I cant say enough about the warm welcome my mom and I received from Keisha and the staff. Keisha went out of her way to make my mom feel welcome even before she moved in. She introduced my mom to residents who had similar interests as my mom. Keisha listen to both mine and my moms worries about moving and she was extremely patient with both of us! Keisha had a mover, who she felt would be very helpful to us, call me even before I made any calls! The food was wonderful and everyone we met was accommodating and very kind. Before my mom moved in, I visited a few times at different times in the day. I saw the staff handeling issues with care! I saw everyone saying ,Hi to the residents by name , as they walked by and asked questions about their families. Aberdeen is extremely clean and has a very caring environment. I love that my mom will stay in her apartment and can make it her own! I felt at home by the second time I went there. Not only are we going there because of all of the activities, care, cleanliness, staff, etc.. we are going there because we have found a wonderful support person in Keisha! I highly recommend Aberdeen!
October 2019
So impressed with the level of personalized care and support my parents receive. Staff are compassionate and respectful. Management is always responsive to questions or concerns. Its very difficult living so far away, but the peace of mind that comes from knowing they are receiving excellent care, good food and have qualified caregivers available to them is invaluable. Truly grateful to the team at Aberdeen.
October 2019
Keisha is the most compassionate , & professional person I have met in along time.
June 2019
Theres no place like home but Aberdeen Crossings is a great next choice! My father has been living at Aberdeen for six months now. The employees there - starting *immediately* from day one with the admissions coordinator Keisha - all cultivate a family type atmosphere with lots of individualized care and attention. I love how they appreciate my fathers eccentric personality and how they embrace him as part of their family!
April 2019
I was impressed with Aberdeen Crossings from the minute I walked through the door. There is a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff members are kind and helpful. The building is beautifully decorated and very well maintained. My mother was very apprehensive about visiting Aberdeen, but Keisha made her feel so special that the transition was seamless.
April 2019
My parents really enjoy the Aberdeen lifestyle. Since Jocelyn Zidar joined the management team, there have been positive changes to the quality of care and loyalty of the staff. Through her management, I have seen residents who are happier and employees who truly enjoy their jobs. The staff (99.9%) are respectful and have true compassion and provide quality care for the residents.
