Very nice place, however, my parents very seldom receive their medications on time! Number of which are time sensitive! I have been there at various times of the day and morning medication doesn't show up until almost lunch time! Time sensitive evenings medication are often 1 to 2 hours or more late.

Moving into 10 Wilmington Place has been one of the best decisions I've made. I started in Independent Living and recently transitioned to Assisted Living, and I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth and easy the change was. The staff made the entire process feel seamless and were there every step of the way. Everyone here is kind, caring, and always willing to help. The food is well prepared, with plenty of variety, and I've really enjoyed the meals. I also love the location of my room. It's convenient, comfortable, and feels like home. One of the things I appreciate most is that I can participate in as many or as few activities as I want. There's always something going on, but there's never any pressure. Even after moving to Assisted Living, I've still been able to spend time with the friends I made in Independent Living, which has made the transition even easier. It truly feels like one community where everyone is welcomed and supported. I would highly recommend 10 Wilmington Place to anyone looking for a caring place to call home.

The 24/7 care and amenities my parents receive as residents of 10 Wilmington Place are wonderful. I have peace of mind knowing that someone is always available to help them if they need it. The staff know us by name and are welcoming. The other residents are very friendly too. I am so grateful for the meals, the concerts, the movies. My mother and I love the puzzles which can be found on tables in the hallways or gathering spaces. It's a great way to build community while keeping your mind sharp! The grounds and building are beautiful, especially the Christmas decorations! I'm so thankful my parents moved to 10 Wilmington Place.

Beautiful community with the most amazing staff. Nurses and nursing aids are kind and attentive. So many interesting and unique activities for residents. The apartments feel like home with high ceilings and gorgeous windows to let in a lot of light. Moving in was so smooth with the help of the administrative team including Torey and Dolores. I would highly recommend 10 Wilmington Place for families seeking retirement living for their loved ones.

We’ve been very comfortable at 10 Wilmington Place. The meals are good, there are plenty of activities to choose from, and the staff have always been kind and respectful. It means a lot that they know people by name and remember the little things, because that makes it feel more personal. Our apartment suits us well, and we really enjoy the view of the greenery around the building. There are nice common areas inside where we can sit and talk, and we especially like being outdoors when the weather is nice. The patio is a pleasant place to have dinner, and the benches along the walking paths are a nice touch. There’s a good mix of people here, which makes it easy to feel comfortable and find others you enjoy spending time with.

This is our third assisted living place in less than one year. I won’t name the other two, But I had to take my mom out of the other two places for her safety. The first place”she ended up in the hospital with sepsis due to the place being understaffed. The second place was beautiful, but my mom was not safe there either and kept getting UTIs due to the fact that she was not changed every two hours And the place was understaffed as well. 10 Wilmington Place is amazing in every aspect. The staff is very kind and goes out of their way to help you as a visitor, but also to help the residents that live there. The food is good, the place is clean, the apartments are beautiful, and everything runs like a well oiled machine. We also had a special circumstance before we moved in That could’ve been a dealbreaker and 10 Wilmington place did not have to accept my mom because of this special circumstance. Not only did they accept her with open arms, but they have taken every precaution to make sure that my mom stays safe. I just can’t say enough good about this place and when speaking to some of the residents that lived there, they all say that they love it at 10 Wilmington. Make 10 Wilmington Pl. be your first thought when having to make the impossible decision to put your loved one in assisted living or memory care!!

We cannot say enough good things about this assisted living facility. From the moment our family walked in, we felt welcomed and supported. The staff truly treat residents like family, and that peace of mind means everything to us. Moving our loved one from independent living to assisted living was a bit of a change. A very special thank you to an awesome nurse, Jordan. She goes above and beyond. Her kindness, patience, and genuine compassion do not go unnoticed. She takes the time to explain things, comfort residents, and reassure families. You can tell she truly cares about the people she serves. We are so grateful to have our loved one in such caring hands. A huge thank you, 10 Wilmington Place!

One would think that after the December 23, 2025 explosion a the Bristol Health and Rehab Center in Bristol Township, Pennsylvania, that assisted living facilities would be a little more self-conscience about doing something like this. Apparently not. This photo was taken between the facility's main front entrance doors in January 2026 at 10 Wilmington Place in Dayton, Ohio.

10 Wilmington Place is the perfect place for our dad. After trying two other facilities and seeing how they came up short we are so happy that our dad is thriving at 10 Wilmington Place. They have great employees who truly care, they have an abundance of activities for all interests and they have a beautiful facility that feels like a little town to the residents. 10 Wilmington Place Retirement Community has a lot to offer. I got the chance to visit it during their 2025 holiday open house. First off the building is beautiful both inside and out. You can appreciate the history and tall ceilings as soon as you walk in the front door. The entry is beautifully decorated and captures the buildings historical past. Common rooms are very upscale and yet comfortable. There is a wide variety of apartment floor plans. Residents have a small interior entrance to their apartments which they can decorate anyway they choose. The apartments come with a large indoor storage unit right outside each apartment's entrance. The halls have lots of sunlight with windows that look out to views of trees, gardens and nature. There is so much to do there Wii bowling, Movie theater, Pool table, Libraries, Barber and Beauty Salon and a Mini store and mini post office with it's own U.S. mailbox. Walking trails, outdoor concerts and events. The food is gourmet and so good! Everyone I met was very kind and helpful. Based on what I saw I would highly recommend 10 Wilmington place.

My dad has lived at 10 Wilmington in an Independent Living apartment for over 10 years. This is a WONDERFUL community and has been such a blessing to our family. The management and owners are kind and caring and they keep the facility in top shape and provide so many amenities...his favorites are the live music, playing cards, transportation to doctor appointments and church, and the excellent meals. There are many activities to participate in and the fellow residents and staff are fabulous! THANK YOU!

Our parents have been at 10 Wilmington Place since Fall of 2019, and we've had many many many wonderful interactions with the nurses, aids, staff and leadership. From top to bottom, it's a wonderful organization, and we feel blessed that we found this place that has allowed our parents to live independently (from 2019 - 2023) and now in Assisted Living. Dad died in August 2024, so it's just Mom now, and the nurses and aids treat her like she's their grandmother. We are so grateful for and appreciative of the whole team at 10 Wilmington Place!

If you are seeking the right retirement community for your loved one or yourself, look no further. The last few months have been very difficult on our family but 10 Wilmington Place has truly been the saving grace that we so desperately needed! Those of us caring for loved ones afflicted with the heinous condition of dementia can attest to the profound impact that the right organization has on the loved one and the family. 10 Wilmington Place is definitively that organization. Everything always happens so suddenly in these situations but in our case, the catalyst was an unexpected passing of a family member that culminated in a frantic search for an assisted living community for our mother. Every single staff member exemplifies the very best that anyone could hope for when entrusting someone with the most precious of all, your loved one and they simply went well above and beyond to assist us in every way during this trying time. Thank you 10 Wilmington Place!!!!

Looking to plan ahead, we recently revisited 10 Wilmington place for when we can no longer live in our home. We visited several years ago, and again a few weeks ago for a tour and another visit to have dinner with two long-term residents and a new resident. Dinner was good and we enjoyed hearing how both old and new residents are very happy at 10 Wilmington Place. In our previous visits we saw some sample apartments and the amenities offered. A plus is that they also offer assisted living and memory care on site. We can easily see ourselves enjoying a new life at 10 Wilmington Place in the future when we are ready to move.

My husband and I moved into independent living in 2019. If I could describe 10 Wilmington in one word it would homey. Our favorite part of 10WP is the Patterson room that is so versatile and used for many wonderful activities. The Grand Oaks Dining Room is very elegant. It is very close to all of our needs outside the building and we feel very safe and comfortable here knowing that if either of our needs progress we can stay at 10 Wilmington. Residents here are very friendly and welcoming, many nice places to sit and have a chat. If we notice something wrong with anything it is fixed almost instantaneously! Management is always willing to jump in and help during an emergency, and support their staff. Mike and Dave in the maintenance department are always prompt to fix any maintenance issues in our apartment or around the building. Lauren is very tech savvy and responsive to our calls for help whether it be our TV phones or computer. She educates as she fixes so we are able to learn about our technology. Overall we are very happy that we are here at 10 Wilmington Place and think everyone should check it out!

My wife and I have lived here over two years. The best part of being here is getting to know people and being part of their life. You can share experiences and make new friends. You will learn that everyone has a story. The staff are outstanding. They care who you are and are accepting and forgiving. There are many planned activities and outings which are your choice to attend. There are groups to join: reading, writing, coral, discussion, bowling, bingo, movies, walking, and exercise. The food service is excellent, and the food is plentiful. I highly recommend you come and join our community.

Review of 10 Wilmington Carolyn Bohler 1. There’s a refreshingly wide age range here, from 60’s to 106+, so we are beyond stereotypes and create the opportunity for new friendships. 2. It’s relatively easy to make friends over meals in the beautiful flower-decorated dining room”and when warm, on the patio! Activities range from chair yoga, massage, happy hour, walking groups, dancing, seasonal craft-making, lots of card games, live music, and wii bingo 4. Positive, memory-evoking soft music is heard in many hallways, where there are plenty of mini-sofas and chairs to sit and read, visit, work on puzzles, or just sit! 5. My granddaughters (7 and 9) love it here...the Wii bowling, of course, but also they say it feels like a castle! Plus, there are white squirrels, a gorgeous lake surrounded by rocks, fireflies, acorns. And plenty of new old friends to greet.

When I first pushed my 3-wheeled red rollator up the handicap ramp and into the lobby at 10 Wilmington Place I had a feeling I might be home. The building and grounds were so beautiful. lnside, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the halls wide and brightly lit, with tall windows along one side to let in plenty of light. The staff people seemed to know everybody by name and they were all so friendly and helpful. I've been here over 2 years now and I've not been disappointed. I've made so many good friends here and that is the greatest joy for me, although there are dozens of other things I could mention. I just celebrated my 90th birthday and it was the best birthday ever with friends and good wishes from all around me. I feel contented, safe and comfortable here. I intend for "10 Will" to be my forever home.

When I decided to move into an Independent Living facility my granddaughter went to see 10 Wilmington Place. She told me that I would like this place because of the beautiful building and the verdant grounds . She was right I really enjoy living here. I've only been here for 5 months but everyone has been so welcoming. most of staff knew my name as soon as I moved in. I so enjoy the friendships, the music events, exercise programs, art activities, writing and reader's group. The only thing I do not like is the dining. Last week we had coleslaw, cabbage rolls, and buttered cabbage at the same meal. The meat, fish and chicken are so dry and tastless The cakes are dry. and we can't always get the ice cream I like..

I have been a resident here for about 7 months. I like that so many of the staff and residents are so friendly! there is a wide range of activities from bible study to yoga and craft classes. the food may not top notch and overseasoned. There aren’t many options at dinner and they will have multiple menu items featuring the same main ingredients (cabbage and potatoes are frequent repeats). there are many blends of vegetables offered but seem to be almost identical. Dining room staff can be forgetful in getting additional condiments when asked for them. Overall I’m happy to call 10 Wilmington Place home.

10 Wilmington Place is a gem of a place. The historic building has beautifully restored and its halls ring with classic elegance. Our point of contact, Dolores, was very kind and helpful in showing us all of the features of independent living at 10 Wilmington Place. The apartments have massive ceilings and large windows which really "open up" spaces with limited square footage. Activity spaces are plentiful and inviting, the dining area is lovely and the presence of a 24 hour-staffed desk is reassuring. It was one of the top 2 places on the list for our parents but they ultimately chose a different facility. Their concern was that 10 Wilmington Place was too large and the amount of walking was intimidating. I think this might be a concern for some but certainly not for many. If you find yourself touring generic, cookie-cutter senior living facilities in Dayton and you want to see something special, I recommend you contact Dolores and take a look at 10 Wilmington Place.

I visited 10 Wilmington Place with a very dear friend who was interested in becoming a resident. Her son had previously placed a deposit on the facility and an opening came up. Delores did an amazing job providing a tour of the building and explaining all of the amenities and activities available in addition to pleasantly answering all of our questions. She also answered all of my follow-up questions promptly and provided any additional information that I requested. The only complaint that I have is on the second or third visit and once my dear friend made the very emotional decision to move to 10 Wilmington Place, then and only then were we made aware of an almost $400 price difference. This was a shock to the family.

10 Wilmington Place is by far the best retirement community in the Dayton and surrounding areas. I spent much time visiting and evaluating other independent living, assisted living and memory care facilities in the Dayton area in choosing a place for care for both my late Mother and Mother-in-law. Unfortunately I did not include this community in my Research. BIg mistake! I-recently broke both my ankle and foot and needed a no weight bearing safe environment to stay. 10 Wilmington place took me in with open arms for a temporary respite. I stayed for nearly 10 weeks and can’t say enough good things about not only the facility and its many amenities but also the excellent quality service of all of their staff. Not only were the staff extremely accommodating and friendly but all of the residents were welcoming and kind and just fun to be around! While there, I was provided with skilled Occupational and physical therapists and free transportation to all of my appointments. The activities provided endless fun with Trivia, weekly music, daily happy hour, outdoor dining. 2 cinema theaters, Wii bowling, bingo and pool table just to name a few. Also included were weekly trips to the grocery, lunch out at nearby restaurants and church on Sunday. A fitness center, store, salon, post office, massage parlor and chapel are available as well. I am well enough to go home now but won’t forget the wonderful time I experienced there! I truly felt like I was on vacation and will definitely be back for visit s! Ignore the poor reviews and check 10 Wilmington out for yourself! My mother lived there for three years [until she passed away]. She lived in both the independent and assisted living sections. I could not be more satisfied with her experience. Most importantly, I ALWAYS felt she was safe and well-cared for, which was very important to me! Our experience was that the staff was friendly and competent,, The rooms were unique...not your standard "squares". Most had high windows that looked out onto beautifully landscaped grounds. The food was great. In the assisted living section, her needs were carefully met. I usually visited daily and was well-aware of what was happening throughout the entire building since we walked the halls when she was able. Again, see for yourself!

I'm a runner. When I'm in the area, I like to run here. People who live in the community come out and cheer me on and I'll stop to talk and walk with them. My little way of giving back, I suppose. Beautiful scenery! Staff come out with some of the people who live here and are very friendly.

This place might be alright for short-term care for your elderly loved one, but for long-term care, I'd suggest finding your loved one a better place. The Sanctuary does have a few wonderful people on their staff, but the rest of them are there only for the pay. And those people need to receive better training on how to interact with, and be more compassionate with the elderly patients. Furthermore, several things need to be addressed and corrected, like: Forcing patients to go to Therapy more than once a day, especially when they are in severe pain. Making patients walk the corridors when it's clear they CANNOT walk, and need to stay in their wheelchairs. Making patients sit in their wheelchairs and wait forever while the staff takes their sweet time taking them to the dining room, or to therapy, or the bathroom, or wherever. Staff taking forever to get medications and fresh cold water to the patients. Staff failing to put towels on the floor for patients to stand on after their baths / showers, and putting the patients to bed with their bodies and hair still soaking wet. Staff arguing with the patients and not listening to their needs and concerns. Staff ignoring call buttons. Yes, I understand that some care facilities may be understaffed and overwhelmed with duties, but steps should be taken to make sure the facility is not understaffed. Also, the caregivers need to be trained better in regards to care and compassion towards the elderly patients. Some day, those people will be elderly and sickly and may need to stay in assisted care themselves--then they will realize just how difficult life can be. I'm being honest and straightforward with my review. All it takes is a few improvements.

Responding to Joshua's response. I am the Director of Marketing and Sales at 10 Wilmington Place. I feel to need to point out the facts. The Ohio Department of Health gave us a perfect score during its unannounced inspection of the care we provide.
