Gardens of Scioto is a well run and beautiful community. It has lots of fun activities for residents to take part in and keep them moving! Staff is warm and friendly. Also connected directly to rehabilitation and in-house kidney dialysis which is a rarity to find in Columbus!

My husband and I this fall realized that my mother-in-law and stepdad needed much more help after living independently (both for over 90 years). We put in many hours looking for the right place and for one that was affordable. We could not be more happy with the Gardens of Scioto Assisted Living. The main reason is the quality care they have received. That starts with the Community Relations Manager, Debbie Ayers who is warm, cheerful, and knowledgeable. But it does not end there. The nurses, the aids and everybody working there are friendly and competent. The residents are genuinely happy not only because the staff pays attention to their needs, but also because it is an up beat, positive place.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this facility!! The staff, the activities, and the apartments are excellent. The residents are treated with kindness and respect. And, as a bonus, it is pet friendly. My Mother was able to keep her cat with her when she moved.

October 2018
I found the Gardens of Scioto through "A Place for Mom" on the internet. We were in a difficult situation with my aunt and needed to find housing and care immediately. Their staff was absolutely amazing. I don't live in Columbus and was trying to handle all of this from out-of-town and very quickly. Deb, their Community Relations Manager, was a wealth of information and helped me think "outside the box" on my options. We were able to locate my aunt there comfortably in a respite apartment until things fell into place to make the move officially. The staff is friendly, caring, and attentive. My aunt receives an abundance of attention. The facility, itself, is beautiful. When I ate dinner with my aunt one night, the kitchen staff even came out to say "hi," and to let my aunt know that even they were keeping an eye on how much she ate of their food. 🙂 I have been in facilities where the care is lacking and staff difficult to locate when needed. This is not the case here. We are very satisfied.

My husband and I moved to the Villas of Scioto in May of 2013. Scioto is a full health care campus and I am so grateful for that because a few months later my Mom, who was 97 years old, needed assisted living care. So I was able to move her into a studio apartment at Gardens of Scioto, a part of this campus. She really appreciated having her own private bath and I appreciated being so close to her! She had great care from the nurses and the resident aides. Mom lived here for 3 years so we all celebrated her 100th birthday which included family, friends, fellow residents and staff. 85 people to be exact! I would recommend Gardens of Scioto for anyone looking for assisted living.
September 2018
I lived in Ohio for 76 years and raised my family here. When my wife became ill I chose to move closer to my daughter in South Carolina to get the help I needed for my wife. After loosing my wife within a year of that move to South Carolina, I decided it was best to return to Ohio to be with my children, grandchildren, and friends. It's also been good to get back to my church, Heritage Free Will Baptist Church. I initially arrived at the Gardens of Scioto (Assisted Living Community) until I could decide what the best living arrangement would be for me. I enjoyed being there for the most part. I liked the fact that I could come and go as I pleased. The food was also quite good! What's great about this place is that it is a full health care campus, so since I did not need assisted, I was able to move into their Villa (Independent Living). It's good peace of mind to know that if I do need further medical attention It's available to me right here on the campus.
