Love living here. Staff and residents are all friendly! Dinning area is wonderful servers are great.variety of good food. Feels like a real Community

We moved my mother to The Claremont a year and a half ago. These people are so caring and loving. Sheila at the front desk has called to check on mom when she has been in the hospital. She is so sweet. Deb, Christian and Zac are always helpful answering questions and helping with decisions on mom's care. Trish was there for us when mom needed a medical alert necklace after her fall. Mom loves living at The Claremont. They make it feel like home. From the activities to the dining...mom loves it all, especially listening to the piano playing and bingo!

After my family and I vetted several assisted living facilities, along with a friend who is an attorney and compiled an extensive check sheet, we chose Claremont Village. Now we are 100% confident we made the best decision. We have found Claremont to be spotlessly clean, the entire staff from dining room servers to maintenance to nursing care to the management team to be welcoming, thoughtful, kind, extremely competent, compassionate, and patient. All work diligently to make every resident, regardless of circumstances, feel safe, comfortable, and important. In short, Claremont checks all the boxes, and we are very grateful our loved one is a resident there.

Over a period of years, I have had friends at Claremont Retirement Village. I always look forward to visiting Claremont because it is such a welcoming relaxed destination. Also, in the past I have had other friends at other retirement centers around the Columbus area. Overall, the residents at Claremont have been much more pleased with the facility than those at others that are much more expensive. The entire facility is on one floor and there are no inconvenient and unreliable elevators necessary. Each apartment has interior hallway access for the entire facility and each one also has a same-level screened in outdoor patio. There is a sense of community and camaraderie there among the residents. Many of them casually meet in the dining room and play cards, or just sit and chat. The dining room food choices have good variety and good quality. Claremont is not a fancy hotel, but is clean and well maintained. It has a sense of casual comfort and friendly socialization. The staff is very caring and comforting. The dining room service is excellent with very friendly servers who are always available and ready for resident requests. There are always several activities available, usually in the dining room area. These include theme days and musical performances among other attractions. Special services are generally available for such things as physical therapy and hair care, just to name two. Many of the residents have their own automobiles with plenty of parking for residents and visitors. There is a small general store on site along with a postal facility there is good security and areas for assisted living and memory services. The sales staff is knowledgeable, and helpful. I believe the strongest attraction of Claremont is its social resort style atmosphere and the convenience of single level living with screened-in patios for every unit.

I cannot say enough positive things about Claremont Retirement Village. My sister urgently needed to find an alternative to living on her own, and Debi (marketing director) was so instrumental in making a move happen asap. The initial tour was an easy sell: all the residents my sister met were friendly, welcoming, encouraging, and saying how much they enjoyed living there. The staff learned our names right away and greets us by name, offering to help in any way they can. The accommodations are clean, updated, and well-equipped to meet the needs most elderly residents would need. The dining room is a wonderful meeting place, the food is very good and portions are generous, and the cost is incredibly reasonable. The units have a lovely screened in porch for some fresh air, the resident controls the temperature in the apartment (my sister loves to be warm!), and it's very quiet. So many activities to try out (My sister has watched a movie, a football game, enjoyed several outings, met so many new friends, listened to a piano player in the common area). I would highly recommend CRV without hesitation.

My mother has been here (Independent Living) almost two weeks and we are already totally impressed with the friendly staff, residents and family of residents. From moving day on my mom has had people introducing themselves and offering to show her the ropes. I met several family members of residents that have gone out of their way to be welcoming and have nothing but positive things to say about this place and staff. My mom couldn't be happier with her one bedroom apartment. She comments on how much more space than she expected when she downsized from her apartment. She lost her husband just over a year ago and has had some tough times. She continually tells everyone how much happier she is now and what a great decision this was; even though she had doubts in the weeks leading up to the move. Thank you so much to everyone at Claremont for making her life so much better.

Great environment for independent living - the one bedroom apartment was the perfect size for my mother-in-law. She made lots of friends and enjoyed the scheduled activities and mealtimes in the dining room.

Claremont Retirement Village was where my stepfather lived the last few years of his life. While he resisted leaving his longtime home, in his heart of hearts he knew that he could no longer care for himself and his home. He lived in the Independent Living area and grew to love his spacious apartment. Even with his profound hearing loss he enjoyed the camaraderie of the many friends he made. One of the last activities in which he participated was the Veteran recognition program that was held on Veterans Day. While a humble man, he really enjoyed and appreciated the recognition. The excellent caring staff put my mind at ease knowing that if he fell he would be swiftly helped. After his death I was so touched by the many expressions of sympathy that I received from the staff and the residents alike. If you need a caring, comfortable, and reasonably priced home for your aging loved ones, there is no finer choice than Claremont Retirement Village!

Claremont has been life changing for my dad! We were nervous about moving him from his family home after 37yrs. He has been welcomed wonderfully!!! Major shout out to the Physical therapy staff Kami and Liz. They treat him like family and his improvement has been great! Also, Keith the maintenance man checks on dad often! He helped him get settled into his home and every time he sees dad out and about he say "how ya doing Rick, do you need anything" My dad LOVES it, he feels so valued. He calls Keith his "buddy" I am over the moon with how great this facility has become my dads family! Their communication to me is amazing as well! We couldn't be happier!

Everyone so friendly and helpful. The food at lunchtime is also very good. I enjoy the dining room lunch time every one seems to enjoy the help that Agelina always makes sure we all have what we want to eat. Also Angela a very hospitable person she always makes sure everyone has what they need as far as what you asked for.

Claremont Village Independent Living is like living in a small neighborhood with neighbors just a few steps away across the hall. My husband and I especially like having a screened in porch and wonderful view of the the lovely garden spaces at each apartment and enjoy the wonderful menu selections. There are a wide variety of activities, bus trips for errands, shopping or dining out. Each day provides something to enjoy and the staff are very welcoming to new residents into the Claremont "Family".

I wanted to tell you how invaluable Vanessa, your assistant director of nursing. and caregiver, Jabria are to your staff. They have been absolutely amazing through this pandemic to ensure mom is happy, well cared for and connected to us even though we haven't been able to see her very often. Because of them, everyone has heard how the Claremont is the perfect fit for mom. They have given her the best care in every way. They have related to her in a very personal and respectful manner. She lights up when either of them are around and smiles from the inside out. They have sent pictures and report on her well being which is invaluable when we are prohibited from visiting. From the time mom first entered the Claremont until now, her care and contentment is 100% better. Whenever we see her, she is clean, her clothes and shoes are coordinated, she is not wrinkled, her hair is combed, she is happy. They both take their jobs above and beyond--truly on a personal level with the residents. It's not "watching" them, it's interacting, respecting, caring and giving them a quality of life. It's not waiting for their life to end but making each day they are there a quality day to be enjoyed with dignity and many times, a day of celebration. I know you have gone through a lot of transition and your staff is probably worn to a frazzle through COVID, but I truly hope in mom's lifetime they will be a part of her life.
August 2020
After taking mom to The Claremont for dinner a couple of times to get a feel for it, we moved her there in November 2019, and simply could not have made a better choice! Like almost any senior struggling to live on her own, she was not in favor of moving, but she loved the activities and quickly made lots of new friends. Her one bedroom independent living apartment is fantastic, complete with her own screened in patio. The food continues to impress as well. Mom has since gone through hip surgery and is almost finished with rehab, and with dramatically declining memory, we will be moving her into memory care in the same building. I can't imagine a home for seniors having a more caring and helpful staff than The Claremont! The attention and caring we receive has been second to none. They've done extremely well keeping COVID-19 out of the building and we feel very safe having mom there. They are a little less expensive than similar facilities, but don't let that fool you. We looked at a lot of places, and have friends who've had parents both at Claremont and other facilities, and Claremont competes very well on all important factors. It doesn't feel like a senior facility; it feels like home. We feel like family there, and continue to believe it's the best place for mom.

My Mom is in independent living at the Claremont and loves her apartment. The staff has been very helpful and responsive. She is really enjoying the food there as well. The Claremont has a family feel and I like that. They even bake a cake for each resident on their Birthday. Thank you Claremont staff for taking such great care of my Mom.

September 2019
I recently toured Claremont (for a family member) and was impressed how friendly the staff was and their concern for serving and offering healthy meals for the residents, which was important to us. An added benefit - they are one of the more affordable apartment/retirement homes in the area.

My dad has been at Claremont for 2 years now and we couldn’t be happier. There have been some wonderful changes since the new management took over. The staff is very pleasant and attentive, and my father has been very happy with the food, as well.

New management is working to make improvements in the community. The quality and presentation has been an area of focus. Kelly does a great job!

The Claremont Retirement Village is a great place to live. The bus takes us shopping, eating out, site seeing and ice cream runs. We play cards, bingo and games. We have cook outs, dances and parties. Live music and entertainment through out the year. The staff is very helpful and kind. I would not want to live anywhere else. Diana

My dad is very happy here. Right away, the CRV team, especially Shelly, made him feel very welcomed and introduced him to several of the residents. He has made so many new friends and there are a lot of activities! He says it feels like home 🙂 There are a lot of caring people on the CRV Team! Patrick, Cody, Shelley, Earnest, Felix, Diana, Barb, Steve and Yolanda are just a few. I can't forget to mention Deb! She and Susie were instrumental in getting us to give CRV a try--we are still there. My dad is happy! I have learned a lot about this new life journey our family is taking together, and I'm still learning! Patrick and his Team are here to guide us and answer all of our questions. It takes a family to take care of family. Thank You to all of our CRV family!!!

Great people. Nice facility. Would recommend.
October 2018
My Mother has been a resident at the Claremont for over two years. In the past year, the facility has a new hands-on management staff that has made a number of positive and resident-responsive changes. The most important for my Mother has been the improvements made in the dining room. She has particularly enjoyed the addition of an excellent salad bar. Even before this past year’s changes, the staff at the Claremont has been, and continues to be, the best we could have wished for. Their kindness and concern for the residents is so appreciated by this daughter. In addition, whenever there has been any kind of maintenance issue with my Mother’s apartment, it has always been addressed within hours of bringing it to the front desk’s attention. The only negative I need to mention is that because the facility is older, doorways and space in the bathroom are definitely not ideal, particularly as a resident ages and uses a walker or wheelchair. Additionally, it would be nice if hallways had railings. But despite these last comments, the staff and value offered at the Claremont made it a great choice for us.

Our visit at Claremont Retirement Village went very well, and we like it enough to recommend it to our aunt. What stood out was that the people were very friendly, and they offered the assisted living services that we think our aunt might later need. They have all kinds of things going on, like cards, movies, bible studies, and the day we were there they had an ice cream social. They have this emergency button that the residents can press to let the staff know that they're up and they're OK, and we appreciate that. They have an onsite salon, and they offer rides to various places. The full-time person who accommodated us was very knowledgeable, and she had a summer intern who did a pretty good job.

After hearing about recent improvements at Claremont Retirement Village, we decided to visit the facility. We were welcomed by the new Managing Director and his staff who gave us an informative tour of the facility, which we found to be safe, with good amenities, and a friendly staff. Luckily, we got a chance to speak with a few of the residents, who gave us positive feedback. In all, I would say that I am very impressed with the facility, staff and location. Seems like a great place to call home.

May 2018
In the past few months I have seen some major improvements with the facilities at Clairemont retirement village -- I would have given it a five -- but I am expecting more and better things coming - so wanted to save for a later time. The friendliness of the staff and the effort to improve the residents experiences is a great relief for me. My mother is 99 and I need to feel she is safe and well cared for -- and she definitely is!

I've been happy with the independent living section of this home for my family member. The facility is modest but adequate and is a great alternative to the giant, expensive retirement communities out there. It has a homey vs. hotel feel with activities and weekly transportation for basic errands. It is all one level and the apartments each have small porches. Great location for any shopping needs .

I play music here and I can only speak from that perspective. But, the staff seems very attentive and the residents seem alert and happy. That is not always the case. So, I can recommend considering Claremont for your loved one.
