Claremont Retirement Village – Reviews
My dad is very happy here. Right away, the CRV team, especially Shelly, made him feel very welcomed and introduced him to several of the residents. He has made so many new friends and there are a lot of activities! He says it feels like home :-)There are a lot of caring people on the CRV Team! Patrick, Cody, Shelley, Earnest, Felix, Diana, Barb, Steve and Yolanda are just a few. I cant forget to mention Deb! She and Susie were instrumental in getting us to give CRV a try--we are still there. My dad is happy!I have learned a lot about this new life journey our family is taking together, and Im still learning! Patrick and his Team are here to guide us and answer all of our questions. It takes a family to take care of family. Thank You to all of our CRV family!!!
Great place for my Step-mom to be helpful and caring staff
I wanted to tell you how invaluable Vanessa, your assistant director of nursing. and caregiver, Jabria are to your staff. They have been absolutely amazing through this pandemic to ensure mom is happy, well cared for and connected to us even though we havent been able to see her very often.Because of them, everyone has heard how the Claremont is the perfect fit for mom. They have given her the best care in every way. They have related to her in a very personal and respectful manner. She lights up when either of them are around and smiles from the inside out. They have sent pictures and report on her well being which is invaluable when we are prohibited from visiting. From the time mom first entered the Claremont until now, her care and contentment is 100% better. Whenever we see her, she is clean, her clothes and shoes are coordinated, she is not wrinkled, her hair is combed, she is happy. They both take their jobs above and beyond--truly on a personal level with the residents. Its not watching them, its interacting, respecting, caring and giving them a quality of life. Its not waiting for their life to end but making each day they are there a quality day to be enjoyed with dignity and many times, a day of celebration. know you have gone through a lot of transition and your staff is probably worn to a frazzle through COVID, but I truly hope in moms lifetime they will be a part of her life.
My great aunt is here and I must say, she is very pleased since it is under new ownership. Staff is attentive, she really loves Yolanda (server). Also very clean! Cant say enough great things about Claremont!
The Claremont Retirement Village is a great place to live. The bus takes us shopping, eating out, site seeing and ice cream runs. We play cards, bingo and games. We have cook outs, dances and parties. Live music and entertainment through out the year. The staff is very helpful and kind. I would not want to live anywhere else. Diana
After taking mom to The Claremont for dinner a couple of times to get a feel for it, we moved her there in November 2019, and simply could not have made a better choice! Like almost any senior struggling to live on her own, she was not in favor of moving, but she loved the activities and quickly made lots of new friends. Her one bedroom independent living apartment is fantastic, complete with her own screened in patio. The food continues to impress as well. Mom has since gone through hip surgery and is almost finished with rehab, and with dramatically declining memory, we will be moving her into memory care in the same building. I cant imagine a home for seniors having a more caring and helpful staff than The Claremont! The attention and caring we receive has been second to none. Theyve done extremely well keeping COVID-19 out of the building and we feel very safe having mom there. They are a little less expensive than similar facilities, but dont let that fool you. We looked at a lot of places, and have friends whove had parents both at Claremont and other facilities, and Claremont competes very well on all important factors. It doesnt feel like a senior facility; it feels like home. We feel like family there, and continue to believe its the best place for mom.
My dad has been at Claremont for 2 years now and we couldnt be happier. There have been some wonderful changes since the new management took over. The staff is very pleasant and attentive, and my father has been very happy with the food, as well.
My Mom is in independent living at the Claremont and loves her apartment. The staff has been very helpful and responsive. She is really enjoying the food there as well. The Claremont has a family feel and I like that. They even bake a cake for each resident on their Birthday. Thank you Claremont staff for taking such great care of my Mom.
I recently toured Claremont (for a family member) and was impressed how friendly the staff was and their concern for serving and offering healthy meals for the residents, which was important to us. An added benefit - they are one of the more affordable apartment, retirement homes in the area.
My mother has been quite happy with her move to Claremont even though she was only there a few months before the coronavirus shut things down. The pricing is reasonable and at least initially it was a very comfortable environment, with basic services and a home-like atmosphere, vs the almost hotel-like environment of some places we visited. Recently, they have started some more creative ideas for residents to do things outside, and for family outdoor visits. We all looks forward to the day that more of the community feel can be re-established. Mom loves her apartment and especially the attached outdoor screened in patio that has been a life saver during these times.
My Aunt was a resident of the Claremont for over 5 years before she passed away recently at the great age of 103! She LOVED living at the Claremont with her cat – Kitty…she loved the people, the staff and the facility. The management team and staff were so kind to her and our family that when I turned in the keys the other day, I was sad I was not coming back. It truly is a place to call home. You can spend a lot more money in our area for the same services and yes, they may have more bells and whistles, may be a newer facility, etc., but you will not get the same loving care and attention like that given at the Claremont. How do I know? My mother-in-law lives just 2 blocks from the Claremont in one of the areas priciest facilities and they could learn a lot of lessons on how to treat their residents from the team at the Claremont.Thank you to all the residents, the staff and management for being the most perfect place my aunt loved to live at!ob Osborn
Claremont Retirement Village is top notch! My aunt has been there several years and she loves it. Her fellow residents are very welcoming and she has made true friendships that will last for life! She calls me regularly and tells me about how the activities department is always coming up with something fun AND safe. They even went grocery shopping for her when we couldnt make it over there because of covid19. Im completely happy with Claremont and my aunts experiences there and Im glad she calls it home.
There is a very kind and loving feeling at the Claremont created by its wonderful residents and staff.
I love my apartmenThe housekeepers are great, especially Carolina who brought me grapes this morningThe Internet and cable is a blessing .ant say enough about the wonderful staff and maintenance
I moved my father to the Claremont in late October 2018. He was diagnosed with Alzheimers dementia in May of last year and we initially placed him in a different memory care facility. The move the Claremont turned out to be a very positive one for him. He is now actively participating in activities, which he refused to do at the other facility. I receive a monthly newsletter (with pictures) of the activities he has participated in. I really like how the Claremont keeps the family informed. I have also seen my father out of his room working puzzles in the common area, which tells me he is comfortable leaving his room and is willing to socialize (again, something he was not willing to do before). I also witnessed his participation in a themed party in the main dining hall last week. I give a lot of credit to the staff and the great care that he is receiving. I would highly recommend the Claremont to anyone looking for a memory care facility for their loved one.
New management is working to make improvements in the community. The quality and presentation has been an area of focus. Kelly does a great job!
Claremont is a great place! they truly care about there residents and go out of there way to make Claremont a wonderful home and community.
Great staff. Always friendly. Great place to bring those that need a little more assistance.
My Mother has been a resident at the Claremont for over two years. In the past year, the facility has a new hands-on management staff that has made a number of positive and resident-responsive changes. The most important for my Mother has been the improvements made in the dining room. She has particularly enjoyed the addition of an excellent salad bar.Even before this past years changes, the staff at the Claremont has been, and continues to be, the best we could have wished for. Their kindness and concern for the residents is so appreciated by this daughter. In addition, whenever there has been any kind of maintenance issue with my Mothers apartment, it has always been addressed within hours of bringing it to the front desks attention. The only negative I need to mention is that because the facility is older, doorways and space in the bathroom are definitely not ideal, particularly as a resident ages and uses a walker or wheelchair. Additionally, it would be nice if hallways had railings. But despite these last comments, the staff and value offered at the Claremont made it a great choice for us.
Ive been happy with the independent living section of this home for my family member. The facility is modest but adequate and is a great alternative to the giant, expensive retirement communities out there. It has a homey vs. hotel feel with activities and weekly transportation for basic errands. It is all one level and the apartments each have small porches. Great location for any shopping needs .
Our visit at Claremont Retirement Village went very well, and we like it enough to recommend it to our aunt. What stood out was that the people were very friendly, and they offered the assisted living services that we think our aunt might later need. They have all kinds of things going on, like cards, movies, bible studies, and the day we were there they had an ice cream social. They have this emergency button that the residents can press to let the staff know that theyre up and theyre OK, and we appreciate that. They have an onsite salon, and they offer rides to various places. The full-time person who accommodated us was very knowledgeable, and she had a summer intern who did a pretty good job.
After hearing about recent improvements at Claremont Retirement Village, we decided to visit the facility. We were welcomed by the new Managing Director and his staff who gave us an informative tour of the facility, which we found to be safe, with good amenities, and a friendly staff. Luckily, we got a chance to speak with a few of the residents, who gave us positive feedbackn all, I would say that I am very impressed with the facility, staff and location. Seems like a great place to call home.
