Friendly staff beautiful facility

My mother was in respite care for almost five months - it was only supposed to be three but she had complexities with her health. The staff was truly fantastic. When she would forget to eat or was not feeling well enough, they proactively brought food to her room and checked on her and made her smile and laugh. My mom has been in three other care facilities now (all west coast), but the people here made all the difference in the world. They truly cared for her, from the ladies at the front desk to the counselors to the kitchen, to the executive team who would call me when they noticed anything strange, and even with her moods… they had compassion and were always exuding positivity. They didn’t give up on her and I am deeply grateful. The affordability is fantastic compared to California and Hawaii prices and it’s a good amount of space too. The facility is clean and decorated for each holiday to feel like home. It was quite reasonable price wise to ask for additional daily cleaning in her unit for my mom given her own limitations and her cats. My mom enjoyed the live concerts, outdoor activities when it was warm, and eventually made friends with the lovely other ladies there. It takes time to adjust always, but looking back I have sincere gratitude. I felt like I had a larger family that was helping me (only child) take care of her. The fresh fruit and coffee/tea out at all times between meals is a nice touch. She also used the in-house salon when she remembered and it made a difference in her self esteem and autonomy given she can’t drive.

On more than one occasion I’ve visited Canton Regency unannounced, I was greeted immediately and the staff were exceptionally helpful. The facilities were clean and every visit and interaction has been met with professional courtesy and prompt responses to questions. Abby and Joe have been thorough and accommodating with providing detailed information and assisting with navigating the intricacies of the various services offered by Canton Regency.

I am very close to my brother who is a resident of the Regency at Canton. My nephew has P O A and he is keeping me from having contact with my brother. This nephew is angry because he tried to implement a null 2010 will of my sister’s which named him as executor, exclude me and left everything to the nieces and nephews. After this will was not implemented other maneuvering went on but ended up in my favor. When my sister’s husband died I became her caretaker for the last 6 years of her life. I took her into my home where she eventually passed away with me at her side.

My Mother-in-Law spent the final months of her life on the memory care unit at The Regency. The staff of nurses, aides and activities were loving and caring, making a difficult time easier knowing that Mom was getting her needs met well. Also, I am an outside provider to the facility and have been impressed with the overall quality of care and the helpful attitude of staff.

My mom has now lived at the Canton Regency for over a year. It has been a great place for her. It has given me a great peace of mind knowing she has company and activities. she has even said, I have nothing to complain about. Thats rare. The front desk is manned by the incredible Wanda. She is gracious and kind. Recently, my mom had a fall. She needed more services than were offered in the independent living. The director, Kim, and Stephanie went out of their way to help facilitate changes. Lots of activities. Its a great place for my mom.

Warm, cozy and homelike feeling as soon as you walk in. Very friendly and professional staff. Always very clean throughout the entire facility. Offers great memory care, assisted living and independent living. Overall, highly recommended!

Memory Care Unit is not so great! Revolving door of aides. People in rooms they shouldn't be in. Residents don't get the attention they need. People are not kept clean; only bathed 3 times a week. Not a good situation!

The independent and assisted living areas were very nice, the areas with higher skilled nursing were dated. The gal we were touring with said they were planning on updating but did not know when. Knowing my mother may be in the more skilled area, we wanted to keep looking.

I think the Regency might be the one we need. they will be Medicaid certified in 3 months so my mom wouldn't have to move her. Everyone was exceptional and friendly.
