Update 5/31/2026 If you do not live local and cannot pop in anytime to schedule appointments, transportation or to just get general information about your loved one, think twice before choosing Canton Regency. I was told not to email the Wellness Coordinator with these issues. I must call and speak with a nurse. Good luck trying to reach one. It took 26 hours for a call back. Unfortunately, I was not available at that time. When I called back, I was then told to call back again at a different time when "the person who handles this" is there. Who is "handling" this? Poor, poor communication. It should not be this difficult, technology is a wonderful thing if it was utilized. Update 6/24/2025.....Canton Regency reached out to me immediately to address my concerns. I am satisfied with the resolution. My mother has been a resident in assisted living east since May 2024. Most of the aides and nurses are wonderful, caring people....even with the turnover and short staff. The common areas are clean and comfortable. BUT trying to get information about my mother (ex. the meds she is taking, her transportation needs) is very difficult. The person I email rarely, if ever responds. I live out of state and rely on this person for information. Please do better.

I visit one of the residents who attended our church on a monthly basis. Have done so for over 3 years and watched her progress from Independent living to assisted living to memory care. I have been impressed with the continuity of staff and with their very caring manner. This includes from the receptionist to dietary to the nursing aids. The nursing home business is an extremely difficult environment and people don't always realize that, so when a facility as well and that kind of environment, it's a good thing!

My wife and I moved in October 2025 to the Assisted Living area for a respite stay, we loved it so much we moved in! My wife sadly passed in December 2025 everyone here including the management team made sure I was taken care of, and I moved over to the Independent Living side and Life feels almost normal again. I have so many things to keep me busy and so many new friends, I have only wonderful things to say about The Regency, I feel safe, comfortable and Loved here. Happy Hour every Friday with live music with good friends what more can you ask for. Housekeeping, Activities, and Physical Therapy all the best people to keep you happy and I am. Thank you for all you do!

Our family has had a wonderful experience with Canton Regency since our dad moved into independent living. Krista in admissions made the transition smooth and stress-free, guiding us every step of the way and making sure he was comfortable from day one. She FaceTime and texts keeping communication open two months after he’s moved in. The customer service here truly stands out. Even calling the front desk lifts your spirits ” Wanda answers with How can I make your day better? and genuinely means it. That kindness reflects the entire community. It’s the perfect balance of independence and support, which gives our family peace of mind. The amenities are fantastic: exceptional meals (our dad happily eats pancakes and sausage every morning), convenient in-house therapy, a barbershop, and plenty of activities to keep residents engaged and social. Most importantly, our dad is happy and feels at home again. We’re incredibly grateful to the Canton Regency team and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring, well-run senior living community.

My parents lived at Canton Regency since 2013. They initially resided in independent living, where they thoroughly enjoyed the planned activities; my mom never missed one! I cherish the memories of Wanda, who always greeted me with a smile and offered helpful advice during my visits. My dad passed away in 2016, and my mom remained in independent living until her transfer to memory care. The memory care staff was wonderful! They were consistently kind, caring, and helpful. Many employees made memory care a great experience for my mom! Melissa, the Director of Housekeeping, and Denise, the Wellness Coordinator, were always available for assistance and to answer my questions. The aides in the memory care unit provided kind and compassionate care daily. I had the pleasure of getting to know some of them very well! Michelle, Amber, and Tanisha always gave me hugs upon my arrival and treated my mom as if she were their own grandmother. Jacob was with my mom during her last days, ensuring her comfort. My mom recently passed on February 1, 2026. My family was very appreciative of the care given at the Regency. Paula Stoll

My Mother was in the Canton Regency for approximately 3 months. During that time, she was comfortable, well taken care of, and busy. I highly recommend the Regency. I truly think it's the best in Ohio. The ENTIRE staff is courteous, compassionate, and helpful. They are super friendly and always able to assist with anything you need and are always available for questions and/or conversations. I am going to miss all of them. It was a great experience for my family and Mother!

I just wanted to reach out and say THANK YOU! to the young maintenance men you guys have! Nothing crazy but still made us feel good! I work for a resident and when I came to pick her up yesterday the guys were in there stringing up lights on her Christmas tree. While we were out at dinner she said oh I hope they put the ornaments back on my tree I'm going to be so excited I said no they probably won't you just asked them to put the lights up that would be super cool though if they did! We came back from dinner the tree was lit and all the ornaments were on the tree she was next to in tears I thought that was just super sweet of them and wanted them to know how much she really appreciated it because chances are she's probably going to forget LOL Thank you to all of your staff for all the wonderful care you provide to the residents!

This is the place to put your loved one if you want excellent care from EVERYONE. It has been over three months that our loved one has been in assisted living. All of my family appreciate the care that is given. They never disappoint. Nursing, therapists, aides, doctor and NP, housekeepers, laundry, dining room staff, maintenance workers, office staff, and anyone else that helped us that I am sorry I forgot to mention. A lot has to do with the positive, family like atmosphere. Even the residents are friendly and look out for one another. We appreciate the church services that are also offered as it is a priority for my dad. Thank you all.

My Aunt moved into the resident portion of the Regency in the spring of 2023. She loved her apartment and grew to consider several of the employees and volunteers as dear friends. We had to move her to the Assisted Living section in October of 2024. That was a good move for her as well. The new staff were very welcoming to all of us and they loved her cats, too! We lost our Aunt in December and couldn't have asked for more kind, compassionate people, especially Joe. He was wonderful!

Almost 2 years ago I began searching for a senior apartment for my Aunt. We were moving her from out of state to be closer to our family. After a thorough search in the Canton area, I found the Regency. It seemed perfect . It offered everything she wanted. Independence, community, comfort, safety, cleanliness, beautiful surroundings, and a caring and competent staff who eventually became family. It was a scary endeavor for her and us to try such a move. But we were brave and we could not have imagined such a perfect fit for her. Her apartment was very comfortable. They offered various levels of service such as house cleaning, laundry, community dining, mailbox under roof, an in house library, and an array of daily activities and life celebrations. Group exercise in the morning, weekly happy hour, musicians performing, lovely and accessible outdoor spaces. Moving there was a win for my Aunt and our family. As much as we enjoyed the place, we never could have imagined the amazing quality of people who work there. Always trying to make things better for the seniors in their care. From the office, and leadership to the maintenance, kitchen staff and most importantly the front desk. If i needed guidance, advice, or any help I knew it was only a phone call away. She often enjoyed staff and residents stopping by to check in to see how she was. So appreciated ! My Aunt passed away a month ago after a long chronic illness. I am not exaggerating when I say that the her last years were her happiest. She remained independent almost to the end and when she needed to move to assisted living the transition was smooth, because she was still with her regency family, at home. Our family will never be able to thank the staff enough. I am a witness as I was there nearly daily and I say there was always a great deal of happiness and love present. Best decision ever made. Although, Mom has only been at the Canton Regency a very short time, we have been impressed with the kind and caring staff! I really like the way a resident can request assistance. When using the call button, the alert goes to the entire group of aides and perhaps nurses on the floor. This enables one who is readily available to respond quickly. The staff aims to please and create a pleasant atmosphere with smiles and genuine kindness. We love the individually controlled, wall heat/a/c units, which are easy to use. Mom REALLY likes the full size, stainless steel refrigerator! She keeps plenty of ice cream bars, bottled water, soup, egg salad and nutritious drinks just incase she wants something extra! The renovated rooms she is in, provides beauty and comfort. Thanks to the entire accommodating staff, and to Joe for making Mom feel welcome!

My mother was in respite care for almost five months - it was only supposed to be three but she had complexities with her health. The staff was truly fantastic. When she would forget to eat or was not feeling well enough, they proactively brought food to her room and checked on her and made her smile and laugh. My mom has been in three other care facilities now (all west coast), but the people here made all the difference in the world. They truly cared for her, from the ladies at the front desk to the counselors to the kitchen, to the executive team who would call me when they noticed anything strange, and even with her moods they had compassion and were always exuding positivity. They didn’t give up on her and I am deeply grateful. The affordability is fantastic compared to California and Hawaii prices and it’s a good amount of space too. The facility is clean and decorated for each holiday to feel like home. It was quite reasonable price wise to ask for additional daily cleaning in her unit for my mom given her own limitations and her cats. My mom enjoyed the live concerts, outdoor activities when it was warm, and eventually made friends with the lovely other ladies there. It takes time to adjust always, but looking back I have sincere gratitude. I felt like I had a larger family that was helping me (only child) take care of her. The fresh fruit and coffee/tea out at all times between meals is a nice touch. She also used the in-house salon when she remembered and it made a difference in her self esteem and autonomy given she can’t drive.

My father was placed in the regency in 2015. The staff was very attentive at that time. As time went on, we saw more staff leave and rooms that became empty and no new residents to fill vacancies. Administrative staff came and went constantly, large turnover in aides. Consequently, it became frustrating for my father who formed friendly, supportive and trusting bonds with some of the nurses and aides only to have them disappear from one week to the next. Overall, a safe and clean environment. Just sad to see the decline in the last 5 years.

I am very close to my brother who is a resident of the Regency at Canton. My nephew has P O A and he is keeping me from having contact with my brother. This nephew is angry because he tried to implement a null 2010 will of my sister’s which named him as executor, exclude me and left everything to the nieces and nephews. After this will was not implemented other maneuvering went on but ended up in my favor. When my sister’s husband died I became her caretaker for the last 6 years of her life. I took her into my home where she eventually passed away with me at her side.

I had to place my parents in assisted living in Jan 2020. The facility is beautiful & clean. But more importantly; you will not find a more caring and compassionate staff for your loved one. Both parents are now deceased and I am eternally grateful for the care they showed my parents. Thank God for the Canton Regency!

The staff of nurses, aides and activities were loving and caring, making a difficult time easier knowing that Mom was getting her needs met well. Memory Care Unit is not so great! Revolving door of aides. People in rooms they shouldn't be in. Residents don't get the attention they need. People are not kept clean; only bathed 3 times a week. Not a good situation!
