My father went to Altercare following his hernia surgery. We were met with very friendly Admin staff as well as nursing and aid staff. The room was large had plenty of closet and drawer space. The PT staff was great and really worked to help him gain strength! The overall facility was clean and bright. Dining service was what you would expect for this type of facility. Only issue was we had to continue to tell them that my dad can't eat cheese. My dad is on pain meds and it took almost two weeks for him to get them. That was frustrating for him. If we were in need of rehab care again, we would consider sending dad back there.

Spent 9 days here at Altercare during that nine days my stay was pleasant Staff and management were kind and curtious. Nurses are very friendly and always happy and don't mind helping when needed of service. Jim M.

Overall, my mom had a good stay. The staff is very friendly, professional and helpful. There was some miscommunication on arrival and departure times for my mom so some things were not in place. I was a bit disappointed that the nurse had not given my mom her morning medicine and it was after 11am on her discharge date, I had to give it to her before we left. But otherwise, it was a good stay and I would utilize respite again at Altercare.

This place was not what we needed for my Mom. So short staffed, she would have went without simple needs if we were not there. The food is horrific, did not see any fresh fruit, sandwiches made with cheap white bread with 1 slice of gross turkey. We took her out after 10 days.

Make sure you can get a physical therapy evaluation the day you are admitted. Everything has to be "ordered" by PT - bed rails, walker, raised toilet seat. If you are not able to get to the bathroom yourself, you will get a diaper and be bed-bound until therapy can evaluate you. The staff is friendly, although most everyone seemed to be new. The room was cleaned daily. Stay on top of your medications and dressing changes. My chart said dressing changes were happening daily, but they were not. Be prepared for really bad food delivered cold. The physical therapists were the best part of the stay. After two days, however, it was clear that no "Skilled Nursing" was happening and I went home to continue recovery from my surgery.

I can not thank this place enough for all they have done for my grandmother!! After having a major surgery she was able to fully recover because of the amazing staff who works here! We stayed in the 200 hall and everyone treated my grandmother with the upmost respect and the best care possible!! The therapy staff was also able to help my grandmother get back on her feet and good as new! My family and I are very thankful for everything this facility has done and would highly recommend to anybody
