We have been very happy with the caretaker for our mother. Initially I didn't know what to ask for and when the caretaker came my mother was not happy. I reached out to right at home I was better able to tell them what was missing. I said that I wanted someone who would take the time to engage with my mother and develop a real connection. I gave specific examples and when our next care taker came out I could really see that she was perfect for my mother. They have a great connection and my mother looks forward to her coming. I appreciate that right at home was able to help me help my mother!

Nearly two years ago I became suddenly faced with finding full time care for my dear mother. She had just purchased an apartment in a senior retirement facility, was swimming 3 times a day and very active 86 years young. Following a successful kidney removal she had a significant stroke leaving her with left side neglect. I live out of state and was her only living child. Her desire was to return to her apartment and stay close to her sister and friends. I chose Right At Home because of their high caregiver to patient ratio and the positive reputation they had with the rehab facility she was in. I had peace of mind that if any emergency arose, mom would be cared for. As I was from out of state with no local family to assist with her daily care I could not risk a last minute cancellation or unavailability. I also needed a caregiver that took initiative to make sure my mother followed the advice of therapists and doctors; and was assisted and treated with dignity with regard to hygiene and personal care. Only three weeks before she passed mom was given a terminal diagnosis. Her progression was rapid. I traveled to be with her every few days, but it was her caregivers Nichol and Patricia, that devoted themselves to her personal care and comfort. They communicated with me and worked with hospice to ensure that my mother felt love and sincere affection. I am humbly grateful to Right At Home.

I can't thank Lou and the whole team enough for all their help with my dad. It's so hard and emotional when you become the caregiver for your parent, but their team really understood and worked so hard to help. I also need to commend the most amazing caregiver ever - Ms. Faye - not only did she take such good care of him - she went the extra mile - making him laugh and introducing him to his new favorite show, "Dancing with the Stars!" We are forever grateful to Right at Home!

They were also very flexible and accommodating when we needed to pivot in another direction or required additional help, etc. This aspect of the healthcare industry is ALL about relationships and listening (on both sides)...The managers at Right at Home have mastered it! I was looking for a PT aide in caring for my 93 year old father. He had a live in aide but I needed someone to relieve her at night. Mary C. was wonderful in listening to my needs and really trying to find the right fit. I honestly was dreading the process and Mary made it so easy. The best part was her communication throughout. I found Right At Home through the VA. My 99 year old father in law is a WWII veteran. My mother in law is 96. They insisted in staying at home which they were able to do until my mother in law had a bad fall overnight. Their caregiver was a wonderful woman they called T because Alethea was hard to say and remember. They loved her! She saw to all their needs and made them fried chicken, which is their favorite. T would call or text me if there was a question or concern. I recommend Right At Home to anyone needing care for a family member.
