We had a very disappointing experience at Arbors of Westbury. Mom, now 96, had only been there for less than a year, and during that time there was a turnover of Executive Directors. The current director, [name removed], requested a meeting with us to inform us that Mom may be ordered to leave, and that they were only obligated to give us 30 days notice. [name removed] cited two incidents that led to her decision---1) Mom had been lingering near the lobby door one day (likely awaiting my arrival) but they feared she might "leave" on her own, and 2) when she had a severe urinary infection, was acting erratically in the bathroom (Mom was hospitalized with a UTI shortly afterwards). The stress thrust upon us by [name removed] forced us to act immediately, and we removed Mom from Arbors, moving her to The Bristal, where she is very happy. Larger room, better care, nicer employees, tastier food. Arbors pushed us out, but it resulted in a blessing!

Enjoyed a wonderful tour of the entire facility by Susan. The facility checked off every box of the kind of place I would like my mom to be at. Unfortunately, I could not afford it personally. However, even after realizing I could not afford to pay out of pocket, Susan was still amazing, answered all of our questions, did not rush us out of the meeting, etc. I was thoroughly impressed and if my situation changes I would place my mom there without a doubt.

I visited the facility and was met by Amy Cardito. She was very welcoming. We were explained all about schedules, 8-10 Activities per day, the meal hours and all of the included amenities. The atmosphere was comfortable and homey. Lots of folks socializing . We were shown a room which was on the large side and a very updated accessible bathroom. Any elder would love the exercise, entertainment, and 24 hour Cafe for coffee and tea and fruit. Social companionship is so important to our elderly population this the way of life at Arbors. I will pick this place for my mom as soon as she is ready for assisted living. Love the joy and nurture that's apparent when someone loves their job ...this is Amy. Ms Fatima has held down front desk for 37 YEARS. The care is so apparent when people love what they do. Winner!!!!

The Director at the arbors is just absolutely amazing & the level of professionalism she brings is just top notch My Interview with her was like no other and the love that she shows to the residents at the arbors you would of thought she was family to them , I’ve worked at several assisted living but this one just takes the cake I wished I had the chance to work under Ishaquaisa before I moved

I have had the pleasure of working closely with the Arbors for several years and they do not disappoint. The staff is compassionate, organized and always go above and beyond for their community. The Wellness team in particular is diligent and I respect how they treat their Residents like family. I highly recommend this assisted living for any loved one!

When you walk into the Arbors in the Director Amys office as u walk in, there is the cutest most adorable golden doodle dog looking out at you with his scarf on. His name is Finn something and later when I was hanging out with my mom she brought him into the big room to visit with the residents. They loved him and everyone was calling him over, but the BEST was seeing how my Mom lit up when she saw him and got to pet him. Way to go Arbors! We love you.

To start i must tell you i checked about 6 places out before i choose the Arbors at east islandia for my mother. also i am 37 miles away in each direction which shows how much i liked the place mom is 92 now and suffers from dementia the rooms are great she is in a shared room and loves it. the staff is fantastic with me and my mom.the staff keeps me informed of all her medical conditions and her check ups the staff will answer any questions you have the place is clean mom enjoys all the activties especially the bus trips. they do everything. mom loves the food i also tasted it and it is very good and they offer many chooses of food at each meal..bottom line i am soo happy i picked the Arbors at east islandia.if you are looking for a place i highly recommend checking them out i promise youwill love itfrank morello

My aunt is at the Arbors Islandia West and we were very happy with how easy it was to get her in and situated. She is 98 and came from rehab after breaking her leg, so there were some special needs that she needed to get settled in and the staff has really helped to make it an easy transition for her. The staff has been so easy to work with and they have done a wonderful job with making her feel at home as well. I really appreciate how they pay attention to the little details and keep me posted especially since I live out of town. I had three days to find a place for my aunt and Im so happy that I found The Arbors!

My mothers been at The Arbors East over a year and a half and it was the best decision we couldve made. She loves the staff, everyone is friendly and exceptionally good to her. She is very happy with the food, the quality and selection and, as she puts it the goodies in the afternoon. She plays mahjongg, canasta, and several card games. She participates in the trips out on their bus, to the movies and stores, but not to the restaurants because she says she likes the food there, so why bother. Her medical care is taken care of by the efficient Wellness Center and the doctors who visit her there regularly. All-in-all we couldnt be happier - highly recommended!

I would highly recommend The Arbors in Bohemia. We actually tried a different assisted living facility first and were very disappointed when were arrived to check out the Arbors we knew right away this was the right fit. The staff is great, the building is bright and the rooms are large and clean. They have a ton of activities to keep everyone busy and most importantly they make you feel at home. What more can you ask for?

Hello , my name is Marion I have been living at the Arbor of Hauppauge for the past year. I am very happy living here. Like many, initially I had my doubts, it was a new experience, new environment I was worried about fitting in. I was so amazed at how nice the personnel was in helping me adjust. There were activities for me to participate in, trips,religious programs and games galore. While attending these programs I have gained so many wonderful friends. We hang out with each other throughout the day we even know each others families. I love how I no longer have the responsibility of doing laundry or cooking. I just enjoy each day as it comes. Special thanks to the entire staff for all that they have done for me and others. This was the best move my children could have made for me. I would recommend this community to anyone.

My Mom recently moved into The Arbors in Westbury.As soon as we were introduced to Lorraine there was an instant connection,We knew this was going to be home for our Mom.We met Towanda and other staff,it felt like family. Everyone is cheerful,greets us,and many staff know residents by name.My Mom is sharing a room,and we hope soon she will be in her own spacious,bright room to call her own.Staff and residents are happy,many activies to keep spirits up.All accommodating to do their best.So thankful we found The Arbors through a recommendation from a friend.Beautiful outdoor gardens and walking areas.

My Mom has lived in The Arbors of Bohemia for the last 6 1, 2 years. She has really felt like it is her home and enjoyed the staff, food and activities. The lady who initially showed us around said it is like a cruise ship on land and that is how we felt. Mom had a lovely single room with her own furniture and was very proud of her place. She is moving on to Affinity Skilled Nursing and is sad to be leaving her friends but always open to new experiences.

I really, really liked The Arbors at Westbury. My need for assisted living for my mom came on rather suddenly and my brother and I were caught short - not knowing where to start, what to really look for a place, what to ask even. AND THEN I FOUND LORRAINE at the Arbors. So empathetic- so knowledgeable- so genuinely concerned for my mom, me, my brother - it was a huge relief to know she was in my corner and was there to help us deal with our newfound reality. The Arbors have a lovely enclosed garden, sitting area for their residents, the people we saw as we visited were clearly happy and well taken care of. The activity board was chocked full..the rooms were quite nice..the food variety seemed more than ample. Lorraine has continued to follow up with me as our journey continues.

The Arbors at Westbury is an upbeat, well run facility that has been a godsend for our mom. Contrary to most things, we did not thoroughly research a next phase plan as moms rehab was nearing its end. After 10 minutes with Lorraine at The Arbors we realized that assisted living was the only solution vs. an in home alternative. All services and features Lorraine promised during courtship has come to fruition - a true all-inclusive experience, with attentive, friendly staff that has made a tremendous difference with moms outlook on life. I truly look forward to each visit to moms new home.

It is a good feeling to know my Mom is safe, clean, well nourished and gets her medications on time. She has been dining with the same ladies for quite some time, and most times is very happy with the menus.
