I attended a business function last night. This was the best food I've ever had at such an event. The chef is amazing. To be a resident here and get food from the skilled hands of this chef is awesome. Their Director of Community Relations, Kathy Azbell is a true professional and will make you feel so very comfortable as you tour the community. She is an amazing advocate for seniors. The best thing I ever did for my dad is to have him become a member of this facility. None of this would’ve been possible without Alice Campbell and her amazing staff, especially nurse Nancy. Amazing place. Alice is the best. There should be an Alice in every elder care facility. She went above and beyond to help expediate my mother's admission. Dennis and I visited two Assisted Living facilities for my Mother in Law but The Brielle stands out. Alice Campbell was very knowledgeable about what we're looking for. We really like the place, it's clean and the environment is incredibly good. The staff are friendly. I can feel the love and care at this place. I actually asked Dennis to convince his brothers to have my Mother in Law to go to The Brielle despite the other members of the family wanted the other place due to its luxurious appearance. For a few weeks prior to my mom moving in I was dealing with Alice C. who was easy to deal with, knowledgeable and super responsive to any questions or concerns we had. Placing a loved one in any type of care facility is a very tough thing to do. It's stressful and sort of heartbreaking at the same time. You know you are doing the right thing but want to get your loved one placed in the right facility. I have to say that the staff at Brielle has been extremely supportive and helpful to me and my family. They've taken the stress out of the admission process, the move and set up of my Aunts apartment, and for her adjustment to the daily activities at The Brielle. Alice Campbell who is The Brielle's Residency Counselor has been a godsend to my wife and I through the entire process.

Mother moved in a few weeks ago. It is quiet and peaceful here. The building is relatively new and tucked in the woods. A huge screened in porch and patio make it easy to appreciate the outdoors. Daily activities give mom lots to do. Food is good. Parking is easy. Staff are very welcoming when I have time to visit.

My grandpa seems to be adjusting well and enjoying his time at the Brielle so far. The staff are all very friendly, and he is given good physical therapy. There are also many activities offered that we’ve been encouraging him to participate in more. He says that the food is also very good, especially the breakfast buffet in the morning! The only complaint is sometimes during lunch and dinner, the food takes a while to be served and is cold by the time it comes out.

My mother in law has Alzheimer’s and can not take care of herself anymore. She does not want to stay with any of her children either. We arranged for her to live at The Brielle. Even though she was uneasy about staying there, the staff welcomed her into their community and made her feel at ease. Besides the excellent Staff the facility has a warm and comfortable feel to it. There are daily activities and excellent meals. I am very pleased.

It took a while finding the appropriate memory care site for my 91 year old dad, but I feel I hit the Lotto when I took a tour of The Brielle and spoke with the Residency Counselor and Executive Director. It was almost 2 year since my dad entered the Brielle and I couldn't have been more happy with the attention, kindness and compassion that was given to him. He was safe, comfortable and loved. Everyone from Administration, staff, kitchen workers , maintenance and the nursing staff were always attentive in serving not only my father's need, but all of the residents as well. The Brielle is nestled among a beautiful setting in a woodsy area with clean accommodations. My dad enjoyed just sitting and being with people although there was lots to do. I can't say enough about this facility, my mother spent a short time here in Respite Care and was treated like family. Mike C. the Director is amazing, the dining staff was always pleasant and patient with both visitors and residents. The nursing and Fox PT staff were professional and helpful many times when we needed them. Bottom line if your looking for a spot for a loved one you can't go wrong here. Almost forgot the activities Director and crew awesome, kept mom engaged many days, she loved her schedule.

I was really impressed with the level of care I saw people getting throughout the week as it seemed every caregiver was willing to go above and beyond to put a smile on someone's face. My In-laws have been at Brielle just under a year. While they were deciding if this was the place for them, Kathy and Michelle were very accommodating and went out of their way to make sure that there needs would be met. They continue to go above and beyond their duties to make the residents comfortable and happy providing them with the assistance they need, activities, events, and good food. My In-laws always have good things to say about the staff-from the administrators, the front desk people, the kitchen staff, and the aides, and I am always greeted with a friendly smile when I visit.

It's a very long story, so......The bottom line: I needed to get Mom out of rehab, and Mom could not go home. I toured the Brielle with my my wife prior to letting Mom know the plan. My wife and I fell in love with it immediately. Michelle has been my life line and I can not thank her enough for her caring and patience. The level of care is wonderful, I feel very confidant that Mom is being cared for and supervised all day round. I have come to know several employees and I am very impressed with them all. My calls to the facility are answered promptly and professionally. All my concerns have been addressed. Fact is even if Mom could go home she truly would have no quality of life at home, she could not come and go, she would not be cared for other than a 24 hour nurse that I would provide. Here at the Brielle she is stimulated, she is entertained, she is given the opportunity to mingle with her peers, she is able to participate in numerous activities, she has the option to go out on day trips to stores or out to lunch, she can even go out to church. Mom has only been in for about a week, but so far I am extremely pleased! Thank You to Michelle and the team at the Brielle.

My mother had to transfer out of the memory unit of the assisted living she was currently at. Feeling lost and now knowing what to do or where to go, I was referred to The Brielle and I just happen to call. Immediately I was provided with the information needed and they worked with me to make sure my mother's needs were attended to. Within a week, The Brielle worked with my family and the previous assisted living to make sure my mom's transfer to The Brielle went smoothly for her. On the day my mother moved into The Brielle, the whole staff made sure to welcome my mom and make her feel at home. On my mom's first day, she participated with several activities, which I was informed on by the Family App they have. They took the time to text me thru the app to let me know what activities she attended and I also was able to ask questions, which they immediately answered. They even took a pic of my mom and that made me feel so at east knowing that my mom was having fun. The transfer of my mom from one facility to another was very stressful for me, since there are not many places that can provide you with the information you need. The Brielle took the time out to answer every question I had and they made this whole process very easy for me and especially for my mom. I would recommend The Brielle to anyone looking for a facility that will embrace your family member and make sure their needs are met. Thank you all for making this transition an easy one for my mom.

Hi The Brielle staff is amazing. From the first time I got my appointment with Michelle Barger,I knew this was the place for my mom.Michelle immediately came out to greet us,make us feel sooo comfortable and warm when I was a bit nervous.we chatted ,we laughed had things in common and made it flawless. She is the best. Then we had some delays in getting my mom i because of her dr. I was upset,spoke to Michelle and she helped me the whole way through. I was sooo grateful to her. Once my mom hit there and I met the whole staff . Everyone was soo kind,friendly,helpful ,happy and always willing to help with this big adjustment for my mom. This review is from Sallie Belluardo, Frances Lalimas niece. This review is for Elizabeth Radcliffe. Frances Lalima probably never thought she would live to be 100 years old let alone be the last one in her family of 7 brothers and sisters. A couple of years ago Frances lost her husband of 46 years. I, Sallie Belluardo have been caring for France and her husband Nicholas for about 10 years. When Nicolas died, she tried to live on her own. Frances had a stroke on July 4, 2019, I was left with the decision to find a place where she could live and be cared for. After looking for a while one of the staff members at Eggers told me about The Brielle’s memory care facilities. From the moment Frances met Elizabeth Radcliffe, she took to her very quickly as did myself, my husband and our entire family. Elizabeth, there are no words to describe her kindness, caring, patience, compassion and overall goodness that she has in her. Elizabeth has always kept us informed as to Frances well being. When she got her hair done, when she goes to Mass, when she participates in all the activities. Elizabeth has such an Ora around her that touches you soul. Her kindness is satisfying and her smile is addicting. You need more Elizabeths in your organization. I tell everyone I know about The Brielle and the amazing person on the third floor who cares for her residents with all her love.

Thanks to Elizabeth, our family has had peace of mind to know that our mother has been exceptionally well cared for over the past 5 years. During the pandemic, Elizabeth has skillfully managed Mom’s receiving continuous tender loving care, engaging recreation, access to therapeutic opportunities and very good health. It is an incredible comfort to our family to know that Elizabeth has ensured that Mom receives the very best of care. We recently celebrated my Aunt Fran's 100th birthday. With these trying times and all the restrictions that are in place, the director on memory care Elizabeth Ratcliffe co-ordinated a virtual party for all the family members. Even though we could not be physically there she made us all feel that we were. She arranged for an ensemble of bag pipers to serenade my Aunt with Happy Birthday. There were also many birthday cards and posters, decorations, ballons and cake. It was awesome. We would like to thank Elizabeth for her thoughtfulness and caring during these uncertain times. She always goes above and beyond to care for her patients and family. We can all see the excellent care that our Aunt is receiving. Thank you Elizabeth again for a fantastic party.

My parents have been at Brielle for almost 2 years. This last year proved we made the right decision for them living at Brielle ! It was a very challenging year but we always felt they were well cared for and safe and the Brielle followed all PPE and precautions to keep them well. They are excited as we all are to be vaccinated and move on and go out with us now. Thank you to the staff who are friendly and kind to them both. Thank You !!

My sister-in-law always tells me that when we picked The Brielle for her, we picked "a winner." She is treated warmly and respectfully by everyone at The Brielle and she loves the food! The facility is well maintained; everyone who works there is personable and takes the care of the residents very seriously. I've even had my calls for seemingly minor concerns returned during the weekend by the managing director! They are all lovely people who go above and beyond to help the residents and their families. They take wonderful care of her and have kept her safe and healthy.

Michelle, Diana and the team at Brielle are fantastic. Pre-Covid, whenever we came to visit there was always an activity going on somewhere, but there was also a quiet space available to sit and visit. The staff (shout out to Joyce) is friendly and available to answer any questions. During Covid, they’ve done an amazing job of keeping our family informed throughout the pandemic. While the restrictions have limited our ability to see our Mom, we feel confident as a family that she is being treated well and getting the care she needs.

Our Dad has been at The Brielle for several years, during which his health and care needs have changed dramatically. The staff is consistently professional, responsive, committed, and caring. Every person with whom I’ve had contact has shown nothing less than a desire to make residents and their families feel like they always come first. During recent challenges (covid, our Dad’s health, etc.), the staff has done everything possible to provide a safe, but caring, environment for all. I would not hesitate to recommend The Brielle to anyone.

Michelle Barger and her team are awesome. They go above and beyond not only for the residents but for the families too. They utilize a mobile app to keep in constant touch with the family and provide frequent updates. We are not on the Island, and with Covid restrictions not being able to see the residents for months, this was extremely comforting. In addition, my dad had some health issues that required live in rehab elsewhere for a few months. The Brielle team made sure that re--entry back in the community was not only possible but done with care and compassion. I highly recommend The Brielle as the best AL on Staten Island.
