My mother and I have been looking for a senior living community for her and as soon as she walked into The Gables she loved it. She felt like it was where she wanted to be! James and the care team have created a wonderful environment where seniors enjoy socializing and interacting.

My Mother has recently moved into The Gables and I am so impressed with the caring and engaged staff. The rooms are really lovely clean and fresh. There is usually entertainment going on in the Living Room ie music which is really great. I really enjoy the Family night in the dining room it's so fun and the chef goes out of his way to make something really delightful.

The Gables at Brighton, near Rochester, New York, is where our Mom spent her final months. With my sister living in Virginia, my brother living in Australia and I myself living in France, it was a strained juggle from the beginning to secure solid and safe oversight and companionship for my Mother. The Gables at Brighton proved to be not just that "proverbial" extra set of hands, but a total team of caring professionals. Was her short stay here perfect? No. There were highs and lows, as with any life endeavor. Would I have rather Mom spend her final months at The Gables at Brighton? Yes. The setting, the calm, the view from Mom's window, was priceless. She awoke each day with the leaves of fall. And watched the sun set from her large light-filled bedroom window. We could not have asked for more. A heartfelt thank you to the team at The Gables of Brighton. If we had to do it all over again; you remain, our first and only choice. Sincerely, The Shealey Family

I am extremely Impressed with the facility, the Awesome Staff and Great Menus. Its refreshing to know that my Mom is at ease and feels safe. I dont have to worry about her at The Gables of Brighton, because she is in good hands with Michael Volkmer, Michael Noble-Rosema, Mary, etc. I want to thank the entire Staff for continuing to do a Fantastic job! I would highly recommend sending your love ones to this warm and welcoming facility.

The Gables of Brighton is a fantastic Senior Community that can offer additional supports than any other Independent Living Facility. The price is right and the service and amenities are superior to anywhere else in Rochester. Staff at the Gables is very accommodating and will take great care of your loved one!

I moved my mother out of her lifelong home and into The Gables of Brighton in early March 2020. The Gables was highly recommended to me, but before I did, I met with the Sales Manager, toured the facility, ate dinner in their dining room, and talked to as many of the staff members and residents as I could. I found an up-to-date facility that was clean, warm, inviting and designed to provide homey spaces for individual, small group and large group gatherings. The dining room is large with ample natural lighting. Table linens, menu choices and individual service give it a true restaurant feel, and the food is excellent. The Sales Manager worked closely with me, personally introduced me to key staff members, thoroughly explained the lease and options available and then went the extra mile to ensure that we could get my mother moved in quickly. The one-bedroom apartment was renovated, clean and move in ready.The staff at The Gables are all genial professionals dedicated to promoting and maintaining the quality of life of every resident. The residents are friendly, caring, and interactive, which makes a big difference.The transition for a senior moving into a new living situation takes time and adjustments, and the staff at The Gables have been there every step of the way. In my mothers situation, the normal transition has been complicated by the Covid-19 pandemic. The prompt, compassionate and thorough response of the staff have kept my mother safe and healthy.mother loves her new apartment and has settled in very nicely. I am convinced that she is living in one of the best senior living facilities in the Rochester area.

The facility is very clean and well kept. I dont have a family member living there, but my boyfriends grandmother is currently living there. She has dementia, and some days are worse than others. Her spouse was also there with her prior to his recent passing. Now she is in an independent living apartment by herself, and her dementia has bad days, as expected. I wouldnt have felt compelled to post a review had I not witnessed a jarring exchange between my boyfriends mother and the woman at the front desk, Jayne, as we were leaving.Jayne doesnt seem to know what the meaning of compassion is, and its troublesome to me knowing that shes working at a senior living community.Perhaps Brookdale Brighton should reconsider who they have greeting the visitors of the people who pay good money to live there.
