I am a companion with Home Companion Services. I help individuals maintain their lifestyle by doing laundry, shopping, light cleaning, organizing, transporting to appointments and preparing meals.. My favorite is listening to their wonderful stories and taking the loneliness out of their lives. The Company works around my schedule so that I can be reliable for my clients and goes through great lengths to make sure someone could be with my client if I cannot be there.The staff makes it a pleasant company to work for I started working for them temporarily as I intended to pursue a different job. That was 19 years ago. It has been a thoroughly rewarding experience.

When Mom returned home from the hospital after a short illness, I reached out to Home Companion Services for a companion to assist her with her day to day tasks and to make sure she had prepared meals throughout the day. While Mom was ready to come home from the hospital, she was somewhat weak and unsteady on her feet. Moms kind and compassionate companion provided the protective oversight that ensured Moms safety and well being. The staff at Home Companion Services was extremely knowledgeable and sensitive to our concerns and of course, Moms needs. Thats what we expected from a company that has been serving the community for over 20 years and Home Companion Services exceeded our expectations.

Home Companion has provided my Mother and family with services that have been extremely important and beneficial to the care and comfort of my Mother. We have been working with Home Companion for over 4 years with increasing the needs for more companion assistance over the years. I have worked mostly with Jean and Susan for several years now and I can only attest to their professionalism and conscientious caring and concern for my Moms welfare.They displayed understanding and help if a companion did not turn out to be an ideal match for Moms personality or needs. With the utmost professionalism, Jean worked to find another companion for Mom and she usually succeeded in placing another companion with Mom that satisfied all of us. Mom now has a companion for approximately 9 hours daily. We could not have managed Moms comfort and care without the assistance of Home Companion in my home and then later in an assisted living facility.

I contacted Home Companion Services after mom came home from a long stay at a rehab facility. They were amazingly prompt at having an aide come to the house to help mom with day to day living necessities. We have had the same aide assigned to us for almost two months and she is amazing, caring, totally concerned for moms welfare and helpful in every way. Dont know what I would have done without Home Companions and would definitely recommend them to anyone needing their services! My only wish is that, now that we are transitioning to Medicaid in-home long term care, out current aide could be transferred to their sister agency and become our permanent aide!
