My wife and I have been resident here for just over two years and have enjoyed our time here. Staff is caring and excellent. There are a broad range of activities and excursions and ample opportunity for social interaction. It is close to many cultural activities, as well as convenient to most of the major medical facilities in New York. We especially enjoy its proximity to Riverside Park. The apartments are quiet and comfortable.

My experience at Atria 86th St has been overwhelming positive. Ever since my first visit with Kimberly Harvey (Kim) and Elvira Radzhabova (Elle), I had a good sense that the place was right for me. It feels like a home, a NY apartment building home, with staff who are caring and go out of their way to tend to my/our needs. Sure everything isn't always perfect, but when I've spoken up, I have been listened to. That means a lot to me.

Atria on west 86th street has given my mother a second chance. She initially moved to Atria underweight and not doing well at all health wise. Through structure, routines, help from the wellness dept and great food- she has made a full comeback and is healthier than she has been in years prior to her even finding Atria. My time spent at Atria on 86th was simply amazing. I had a kidney transplant operation days before arriving here and I could not have been in better hands. The staff here is full of wonderful, caring, patient, kind people. I’m going to name names at the risk of leaving someone out: Pamela, Claudette, Devin, Jessica, Melinda, Stephanie, Cynthia, Daisyem, Francy, Lisa, Erion, Fanny, Giselle, Winsome, Eduardo, Peter, Harry, Mitchell, Tracey, Claudia, Carmen and so many others that made my stay enjoyable (forgive me I’m sure I left somebody off the list). A special shout out to Rickwan - he took it upon himself to call me every afternoon to take down my dinner order and then deliver it to my room. That type of kindness is hard to find in this crazy, callous world. I was at the Atria West 86th for a little over a month. The food was as wonderful as the people at the two restaurants and the cafe. I was not able to take advantage of the daily programming due to l my recovery (compromised immune system) but it was tempting (movies, lectures, yoga, artists, gaming, karaoke, field trips, happy hour - you get the picture)!!! I give Atria 5 STARS for many reasons on many levels: 1) Location ! Location ! Location ! It is right in the heart of the Upper West Side, convenient to transportation, restaurants, shops, museums, etc. 2) The staff is very welcoming and helpful. I have seen this on several occasions upon visiting friends & family over the past couple of years. 3) There are multiple dining areas with an array of cuisines from which to choose. And ALL are GOOD ! 4) The residential studios I have seen are well laid out and some have spectacular views. And the roof garden is to die for ! 5) There are a myriad of programs offered from morning till night. There is something for everyone - live entertainment, music, movies, lectures, art classes and more. Of the many residences available on Manhattan's Upper West Side, this is the one I would choose without a doubt !

This is a five star assisted living community. My 77 years old mom moved in several months ago and she is truly happy there. My mom was very skeptic so at the beginning but after a trial stay that Atria provided she fall in love with this community. Attentive personnel and excellent food. My husband and I have been residents in Atria West 86th St. for almost seven (7) years. I have met wonderful new friends here. I no longer have to shop for food, cook, worry about washing or housekeeping. I enjoyed 3 meals a day here in a choice of eateries. My apartment is cleaned weekly and my beds made daily when they remove my garbage. Life is good! The staff is kind and responsive and it IS New York City so there are many activities. There are trips to museums, theaters, restaurants, and in house movies, book clubs, yoga and more. Most of all I feel safe and cared for here. Someone will come at the push of a button if I need help. I am so grateful that I did not wait too long to come and enjoy this part of my life in a wonderful environment .

In the six months I have been living at the Atria I have developed an appreciation for many of the executive staff and the vast variety of tastes they try to cater too. While I am in the younger of their residents at 68. The programs they offer are enjoyable and I truly wish the food was more consistent. I think the best meals they offer at dinner are the lamb chops and their shrimp scampi. The building is maintained in good fashion and I love the fact they have two pianos. Due to Covid restrictions it is hard to find new qualified employees. Things that I have seen improvement in are the executive staff, building maintenance, response time in repairs, the laundry service, and some of the wonderful musical programs and some of the field trips. Bravo on your improvements.

Very nice assisted living in NYC. The 1 train is 2 blocks away, the food is good, the staff cares and the place is clean. They keep residents informed and they have all kinds of programs for the day. Respect is big in Atria. Entertainment is always posted for the interested. Trips and movies too . The 3 elevators makes it easy to get to any floor. The dining tables always have fresh flowers. The staff is respectful and courteous. What ever issue may rise, please call the front desk and a live receptionist will listen and fix it. Enjoy your stay

I have a family member who has been living at Atria W. 86 for almost two years. Time and again we have been impressed with everyone who works there. The management - especially Heidi and Bill - have been very responsive to our questions and any concerns we may have. The staff have been kind and thoughtful - even retaining a sense of humor during these particularly challenging 10 months. Throughout the pandemic, Atria has paid strong attention to the safety of its residents and the staff. Policies are strict for anyone who must/is allowed to enter the building and PPE are provided to and worn by the staff. We feel very fortunate for all that Atria has done for us.

Went there to visit my grandma, great place, she seems happy! Though there are some creepy elements to it, some of the employees and residents whispered in my ear 333 with an eerie tone. And I thought I saw blood leaking out of the walls. A statue kept staring at me for no reason... Very odd experience. Hope nobody in there will summon any ancient ones! Lolz
