I can't say enough about the staff at Glen Arden. Every one of them is compassionate, caring, and attentive to the needs of the residents. They are helpful and always available if you have any questions. My MIL is in the assisted living unit. The aides and housekeeping staff are stellar! Her room is always clean and the aides are attentive and always available if she needs a bit of help. She is very happy and content there. Susan and Bill Taylor

Bait-n-Switch: a complete waste of my time trying to get my Mom admitted to the their Enhanced living facility. After jumping through all sorts of hoops to get financial, medical evaluation, and other admissions requirements met, the unit that my mother and I were shown on multiple occasions and implied was available through this whole procedure was suddenly made not available to her at the last minute. The alternate placement that they offered was not acceptable to my mother. In an attempt to upcharge the to the placement she requested, we were told it would only be available if we were willing to pay twice the price - Not Happening! We now must start the procedure all over again at another facility because they are unwilling honor their commitment to accommodate her needs. Bottom line – don’t believe a thing they tell you.

You have to question if the high reviews were paid or by staff members themselves? I can count just 3 people who were great staff there that truely cared. The others not much to talk about. The disconnect between the charge nurse who I will not mention and the other staff was so bad their occupational therapist quit after being there 3 months. The place is clean and I did not see a ton of neglect when i was there but when it takes 25 minutes for staff to come and help the resident to the bathroom that is a disgrace. I can’t imagine how many residents are sitting in their own waste waiting to get cleaned up. I have seen a room where the resident was sent to the hospital and food and other things were sitting exactly where they were left days or week before. Only comfort I take is knowing the staff who don’t really care will be old one day and I hope they are taken care of the same way they have here

The staff takes very good care of my grandmother. They are attentive to her needs and work with her to satisfy her wants without putting her at risk. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quality senior citizen home, assisted living, or a nursing home.
