Amy Burgess toured our family and she was exceptional!! She made us feel like this was the perfect home for my parents. The facility was vibrant, clean, friendly and full of activities. The rooms are comfortable and the over all feel is very homey. This is by far the best facility we have toured and are very happy to have found such a safe and joyful home for my parents. If the Solstice community has the same enthusiasm and kindness that the women, Amy had when she toured us then this deserves more than 5 stars!

My aunt has been a resident at Solstice for almost a year now. It has been a great experience for her. The staff, residents, and all the activities offered have all contributed to a positive impact on her. I’ve seen much improvement in her health and outlook since living at Solstice. I am very happy at Solstice. Amy has been a godsend and she has helped me whenever I needed help. I have lived at other communities however all staff is been pretty helpful. I enjoy cards and music and some of the entertainment they bring in. Food is much better than down in the other place I was living .The residents are friendly and nice and I have not met anyone I haven’t liked.

Our mother lives at Solstice and really likes it. It's a great thing when I call her and she says, "Oh, I'm about to go to [insert one of the many, daily activities here]--how about we talk later?" Makenzie Pearce (the Vibrant Life Director, i.e. social director) and her colleagues organize all sorts of great things for the residents: chair yoga, exercise, lectures on all sorts of topics, travelogues, concerts (single performers, bands, choirs), parties for special occasions, euchre tournaments, etc. It's pretty impressive and it keeps our mother busy and active. We really appreciate the excellent staff (including the chef!). Highly recommended.

Better than advertised. Great location, too, on the east side of Rochester. The warmth of the employees is what really stands out. Feels genuine.

The time I spend here goes by quickly because there is so much to do. I attend exercise 5x a week and I like the cultural events that happen. I enjoy all the live musical events especially around the holidays. The food is good and have many different choices. My apartment has been an adjustment downsizing however before I moved in, got all new flooring and carpeting and a fresh coat of paint. The staff are wonderful and friendly and the waitstaff work hard trying to lease everyone. Marco, the driver is great and very helpful.

Lived here 10 years. Am very happy with 3 meals provided every day and weekly housekeeping. Affordable with Wi-Fi, cable and utilities included. Security and 911 access included through a 5-Star button. Great family atmosphere for those of us without a family, as well as activities geared to our interests.

Solstice Senior living in Fairport is a beautiful building. Its in a great location and you really get a feel of the place when you enter and speak with the residents. Everyone is extremely welcoming. They provide daily activities and outings whether a trip to visit various locations or to go shopping, As well as the live entertainment. They always encourage all the residents to join and partake in all events. Its always a pleasure being here and spending time with them. I always recommend this place when I hear seniors are looking for a more accommodating home or downsizing. Plus 3 meals a day included is always a plus.

My friend passed away, I was tasked with clearing out all her things. I signed up to have everything out in 1 month and agreed to pay full rent (Even though no meals were included anymore) . That would have been acceptable however 10 days before the end of the month the management decided to let themselves in her apartment to begin painting without notifying me. They actually left the door unlocked and I found it open when I came to remove the last two carloads of her stuff. TO ME THAT WAS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I don't trust them. Too bad because most of the people that work there are very nice.

My son and I had a lovely tour of your beautiful home. Mary was so friendly, and warmly greeted us when we arrived. She provided lots of information and left us feeling as if we had met a new friend. Everything was wonderful. We loved the cottage community but wished it were bigger.

There's nothing like the staff and residents at this place. Staff acts like family and works very hard to please the residents who live there. It's nice that it's independent living that still offers 3 meals a day, transportation, housekeeping once a week and endless activities to do. If you need extra assistance there is a home care agency that rents an apartment at the community to offer services. They have aids and nursing available. The community outreach that the residents and activity director do is truly amazing. They are always trying to connect with the community around them and instill propose in the seniors that live there.
