I am a widow without children who has found a caring community to live in. Security and support are provided when I need them, but I maintain my independence. I have been here 10 years, making many new friends along the way.

I have worked at this community for over 10+ years, and I can state the atmosphere here is Family! The residents come from all walks of life and connect with one another living in a community setting. I never thought I would have hundreds of adopted grandparents that are family now. My job is to plan a wide variety of activities to enrich their lives, and implement events for community engagement & outreach. I have been enriched, blessed, and lucky to have the opportunity to be with so many people that have impacted my life in HUGE positive ways! This past year 2022 I got married. The residents & staff had a surprise Bridal Shower for me that will always hold a special place in my heart. So I wanted to share my special day with all the residents, and held a renewal of vows wedding at the community in November 2022. I would have not stayed at this position for as long as I have if it were not for the residents, supportive team members, family & friends of the residents, volunteers, special guests, opportunities, and my family's support in events. Most of all the endless happy loving memories that have been created and are currently being created by everyone when I am at Solstice at Fairport.

My friend passed away, I was tasked with clearing out all her things. I signed up to have everything out in 1 month and agreed to pay full rent (Even though no meals were included anymore) . That would have been acceptable however 10 days before the end of the month the management decided to let themselves in her apartment to begin painting without notifying me. They actually left the door unlocked and I found it open when I came to remove the last two carloads of her stuff. TO ME THAT WAS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I don't trust them. Too bad because most of the people that work there are very nice.

Wonderful facility who prioritizes resident care and comfort above all else. The staff is friendly and accommodating and is always open to listening to suggestions. At the end of the day, they operate in an ethical manner to ensure every person in their care is getting optimum services tailored to individual needs.

My son and I had a lovely tour of your beautiful home. Mary was so friendly, and warmly greeted us when we arrived. She provided lots of information and left us feeling as if we had met a new friend. Everything was wonderful. We loved the cottage community but wished it were bigger.

Lived here 3 years. Am very happy with 3 meals a day and housekeeping. Affordable with cable and utilities included. Great family atmosphere for those of us without a family, as well as monthly activities designed to include family members.

Theres nothing like the staff and residents at this place. Staff acts like family and works very hard to please the residents who live there. Its nice that its independent living that still offers 3 meals a day, transportation, housekeeping once a week and endless activities to do. If you need extra assistance there is a home care agency that rents an apartment at the community to offer services. They have aids and nursing available. The community outreach that the residents and activity director do is truly amazing. They are always trying to connect with the community around them and instill propose in the seniors that live there.

I know some people who live here and they love it. They say they wouldnt want to live anywhere else. The people here are all very welcoming and it is a nice family friendly environment.
