This place ruined my mental and physical health when working here, supervisors always yelled at other staff members as if it is appropriate to do so. Care managers in the community abuse residents, hitting them along with abusing them verbally when sundowning behaviors start to commence. I am appaled at this establishment that they let staff be this careless and hurtful when no one is watching them, especially at night time when managing staff has gone home. Disappointing, nothing is ever done so a home like that one will never thrive or be happy.

I have worked at Sunrise of DixHills for 3 years, I work with many wonderful and kind team members. The Reminiscence neighborhood is the home to memory impaired seniors.The families send many thoughtful cards of appreciation about the care their loved one is receiving .

I have been working at Sunrise of Dix Hills for almost two years now and it has been a pleasure working with such a dedicated and hard working team. I feel grateful to have a job that I love coming to every day and I am proud to tell people that I work here! It truly is a happy, loving, close knit environment here at Sunrise not just between the staff but the residents of course as well. It is such a rewarding feeling knowing that I can personally provide my part in enriching a resident's experience by just making them smile even at the very least once a day. I definitely would recommend Sunrise Senior Living to a senior citizen in need as our facility of Dix Hills and many other Sunrise's provide the uttermost exceptional service to each and every resident so that they can feel the most happy, comfortable, and cared for within a warm and welcoming community.

I was lucky enough to find this jewel for my Moms care. The staff is attentive, caring, and responsive to each residents needs. Their goal is to create a home-like environment for eachresident, and the comfort for family members to concentrate on the quality of their visits. I could not have asked for a better experience, and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Staff seems very nice, caring and helpful. Average age of residents is older then I thought it would be. Like the idea that they can most likely care for mom from present until hospice.

We moved our Mom to Sunrise Dix Hills in November. She had been in 3 other well rated care facilities, including most recently a SNF. The care at Sunrise Dix Hills is so much better than the other facilities. At each of the other places we were fortunate to have some wonderful care givers, but the good staff couldn't be there for every shift, so the care was inconsistent. Here she is flourishing, with consistently good care and great oversight from management and from the nursing staff. Friendly, caring, capable staff are making a great difference and we are so appreciative.
