There were positives and negatives to our experience with Corning Center, but that is in the past for our family now. I will give you the following advice, however, if your Mother or Father is placed in End of Life Care here or anywhere else, for that matter: Keep calling to check on your Person. Keep calling even if the employees act annoyed, too busy, say "who?" When you ask about your person. Your Person isn't a room, a bed, or a number. Those are the hands and eyes that raised you, I politely suggest you also visit as much as you can, because you WILL get that call one day, and they'll be gone forever. Don't have any regrets. Our Person, in her prime, was a Registered Nurse who I was so very proud to watch at work, because she treated her patients with such respect and kindness. She showed me that everyone had worth. Strive to find that kind of care for your person. I believe it still exists.
