Legacy At Parklands will cater luncheon/dinners for events that you may be having. We recently booked a funeral luncheon in one of their private rooms and it was amazing. I cannot speak highly enough of the facility, the food, and the way chef Mark met all of our needs.

I moved my mother to Legacy at Parklands (LaP) in September of 2022. LaP has exceeded my expections, and my mom's, consistently over the past year. It really is a community not just of residents, but of residents and employees. And they all care for one another. If you are looking for a reasonably priced independent living facility, staffed by caring and competent people, check out Legacy at Parklands!

I can't say enough about the Legacy. Staff was amazing and treated my mom with dignity and respect for her entire stay. She felt safe with and comforted by everyone from the kitchen and wait staff to her nurses. The facility was clean and I loved that they offered fun, interactive activities. We were greeted daily with friendly and helpful associates and we really felt grateful knowing our mom was safe and well cared for during her time there.

After speaking with several residences at the Legacy, I was really impressed with all the complements they shared. The staff are very attentive and gave me the impression they were caring for family members. The management also seems to do a great job of planning a diverse set of activities and events to make things fun. Overall I see this as a comfortable place to call home! Might be mine in the near future!!!!

The Gates-Chili Chamber of Commerce recently held a luncheon at Legacy and the food was fantastic!! Working with Daniel was smooth and seamless. We were able to plan a menu that worked with our price point and they were willing to accommodate those with dietary restrictions. When we arrived, the dining room was all set up and they were able to work with us on last minute table arrangements as well as the technology that our speaker needed for his presentation. The service staff were courteous and very attentive. We couldn't have asked for a better venue for a luncheon. We will definitely be using them again in the future.

Legacy at Parklands is an incredible place. The staff, from the director Linda to Jim, Mark, Danny, Siobhan and all the others are so dedicated to the residents it's amazing. The sense of family & community there made my mom's 7 years there an absolute pleasure. They were always gathering, enjoying music a little wine. & each other. So much fun to be there.

I have visited Legacy at Parklands many times over the last several years and it is such a pleasant atmosphere there. The exterior grounds and interior of the facility are always clean. The staff is friendly and always greet people with a smile. I've witnessed many residents enjoying their time in the common areas and while in the dining room. In a nutshell, it just always has a great vibe of emotions around the residents and sense of respect from the staff inside Legacy at Parklands.

Best chicken BBQ I have ever had. Chicken was seasoned and moist(never had that from another Chix BBQ) and the potato salad was delicious. Huge meal!!! Great job!

Approximately a year ago my mother was looking to move from her home of over 30 years into a senior community. As you can expect, she was overly apprehensive. A year later, without a doubt, the move into Legacy Parklands Community has been a godsend. My mother has acclimated into the community and gotten to know a few good friends along the way. In review, let me tackle the "cons" first, because they are very few and minor: - although there are laundry facilities on each floor, there is no in-unit washers or dryers. - there is a stove/oven in the apartment, however, since meals are provided, it would be nice if this were optional, perhaps with a microwave or toaster oven replacement. - although the facility provides "seasonal storage", overall there is limited storage for residents. That's it! Those are the cons (and as I said, they are minor). Now let's talk about all the wonderful pros: - First and foremost, the staff is WONDERFUL. In over a year, my family has not even encountered an "OK" experience - that's how great they are. Each and every person truly takes their job to heart and the caring they have for the residents is evident each and every day. Thank you! - The facilities are clean, bright, quiet, and homey. Definitely does NOT have that institutional feel. Also included are regular apartment cleanings (yay!) - The food quality is good and not overwhelming. They provide 2 meals per day (which my mother definitely preferred rather than 3) and the team ensures everyone feels welcome with "eating buddies". Even guests (for a fee and advance notice) can attend meals with the residents. - There is a wide variety of activities (internal and external) that residents an participate in. Some are for a fee, but many are free. - There are no stairs/steps that residents have to take from entering the building through to their residence (although there are steps between floors, if they so desire). - They have gathering spots for family and friends and even an overnight room for guests to reserve. - Residents have the option of bringing in additional services, if they need to, extending that bridge from the existing "independent living" to "assisted living". - And speaking of which, if residents need to make the next move, they get priority in the Legacy complexes. - Other benefits include allowing my mother to bring in her house cat and the staff will even brush the snow off your car (if you own one and let them know!). After a year, I highly recommend Legacy, and specifically Legacy at Parklands. By the way, did I say the staff are AWESOME!

Legacy at Parklands has a bright, homey atmosphere that you can feel as soon as you walk through the front door. Bright lights, classy and comfortable furniture, and a beautiful grand piano right in the front room that is available for all to play! And don't let the smaller size fool you; the more appropriate word would be "compact". The way they organize the space makes it seem more convenient than crowded, as everything is minimal travel distance from the rooms! On top of that, the staff are friendly and present, giving more of a feeling like an extended family than just employees. Overall a fantastic space, with a convenient layout and courteous staff!

It is a great pleasure to leave this review to the Legacy at Parklands. My father Eugene Van Houten was there nearly four years. I could never imagine him leaving the home 60 years and wanting and enjoying living anyplace else. It is well evident that this independent living facility runs like a well-oiled machine. The staff are pleasant and caring and clearly present a team effort. The receptionist always kind and smiling to residents and family. The dining room staff which I believe has college students is so delightful to watch. And of course the chefs are well appreciated. I so remember a New Year's Eve meal a couple years back and I was blown away by the delicious meal that my husband and I shared with my father. And the staff that cares for the rooms in cleaning and maintenance give the family a knowing that their loved one is watched in how the room is being lived in. The open door policy, like we had at Kodak, with the director personally and also in group settings to bring up issues, shows the respect given the residence and empowers them to speak their mind. I'm so thankful for the time my father spent with all of you. I'm so thankful for even Martha who seems to tirelessly watch over everything. I remember her in the first time we had a family gathering in the little dining room for such times. How she served us and just so welcomed us. And I watch her being at the facility so much of the time. And I'm also of course very thankful she was there the day my father needed to pull the emergency cord. It was 7 in the morning on a Saturday but Martha was there and quickly went to unlock the door and see how Gene was doing. As usual he was fine just waiting for me or the ambulance to check him out. So may you be blessed with this review.
