My father has been living at Clearwater for almost a year now, and I felt it time to leave a review. I remember how overwhelming it was trying to find the right place for him, and I hope this helps another family that is going through the same difficult decision. Like many seniors, my dad had a hard time adjusting at first. Leaving our home and starting over somewhere new is never easy. Thankfully, the Collet and her entire team have made that transition so much easier than I ever imagined. They have shown him patience, kindness, and genuine compassion every step of the way. One thing that has really stood out to me is that they consistently went above and beyond to accommodate him, and still go. My father often receives more attention and care than it’s on his plan of care or that I expect, honestly. More than once, I’ve come to visit him and found the director of nursing sitting in his room just talking with him, or bringing him some ice cream. Those are the little things that can’t be taught and certainly can’t be faked. For nearly 15 years, my father lived almost entirely on protein shakes because he refused regular meals. I had accepted that this was just how he was. Somehow, without ever forcing him or making him feel pressured, the nurse and her team simply kept encouraging him and offering him food. Today, he eats regular food almost every day. I honestly never thought I would see that happen again. Also Nicole is knowledgeable, always willing to answer questions, and she truly advocates for the residents. Having the physician in the community every Tuesday has also been a tremendous benefit, and communication with the team has been consistent and reassuring. No place would be absolutely perfect I think, but what matters most to me is knowing that the people caring for my father truly care about him as a person. After almost a year, I can honestly say I would not like to move my father anywhere else. I’ve heard plenty of stories from friends whose loved ones live in other communities, and they only remind me how grateful I am that we chose Clearwater. Thank you to everyone who has cared for my dad with such kindness and dignity. It means more to me and to our family than you’ll ever know.

Our mother has been in the memory care department of Clearwater at Rancharrah for over three years. During that time we have been very impressed with the care she has received from the staff there. The have genuine concern for her wellbeing and are very attentive to her needs. They also seem to really like her and enjoy visiting with her as well as providing their assistance. We have noticed that they are willing to give her attention as much as possible. We honestly feel as though she is part of one big family there. Our experience with Clearwater is the best we can hope for and we are glad our beloved mother is happy there.

A dear friend has been in Clearwater for a few years, and I have been impressed with many aspects of the facility. One true highlight is the diverse array of activities they organize to challenge and entertain the residents. Every day, they arrange and lead 6 to 8 activities throughout the day, including exercise classes and a movie in the lovely theater. The leaders of activities have a wonderful way of motivating and engaging each resident. I have friends in other facilities and none comes close to providing this level of engagement!

I have my grandpa in Clearwater I’m so happy with the way he is taken care of. All the staff is helpful if I have a question I get answers right away. Carmel is amazing and Nichole is great at her job. I never leave wondering if he is going to be taken care of. I always get a greeting when I come in. He don’t stay in his room anymore he’s always out doing something and has a smile on his face. He is very happy there and I’m very happy. I have never had an issue with getting help. I use to worry all the time about him and how we are going to get him to his appointment but now we don’t. Thank you Clearwater for being for him and us.

At first, I truly believed I had made a mistake moving my father to Clearwater. It was often difficult to locate the nurse, and I did not always feel confident about the consistency of his care. Things began to improve after Carmel joined the team, and once Nicole was hired, the facility noticeably stepped up to a much higher standard. Nicole is extremely responsive and very organized when it comes to medications and overall care. She appears to know each resident’s medications by memory, which gives me a great deal of confidence. As a daughter who takes her father’s care very seriously, having direct access to her phone number has been very reassuring. I sincerely hope both Carmel and Nicole remain with the community for a long time.

This is the only facility my dad has lived in where, in the afternoons, the caregivers don’t take forever to respond when he needs help. At other places we experienced very long waits, which was always frustrating and concerning as a family member. At Clearwater, they’re usually at my dad’s room within about 5/6 minutes, sometimes even faster. It really makes a difference knowing he’s not left waiting when he needs assistance. The caregivers are also consistently kind and professional, and they almost always show up with a smile on their faces, which means a lot to both him and our family. My dad moved in in December 2025, and so far we’ve been very pleased with the care and attention he’s receiving.

Well, the food could certainly be a little better, and I don’t quite understand why they charge extra to bring meals up to the room when it’s the caregivers who are already delivering them. That part never made much sense to me. That being said, the care team and the nurse here are wonderful, and that is truly the reason I continue to let my stepmom live here. They take very good care of them and are always kind and attentive. As long as the nurse stays good, the care remains the same, and the activities keep my stepmom entertained, I am perfectly happy! If the day ever comes when the nurse isn’t good, the care declines, or I she gets bored with the activities, that’s the day I’ll start thinking about moving her somewhere else.

I live here at Clearwater and have seen many good changes over time. The activities are excellent and keep me busy most days, which I appreciate very much. It’s nice to spend time with friends and always have something going on. The care staff has improved greatly since the new nurse, Nicole, started working here. She and the team do a wonderful job staying on top of my medications and making sure I’m well taken care of. I am currently out of the facility for a short period, and Nicole has still taken the time to check on me and even visited me twice, which meant a great deal. The food is very good, and I look forward to meals. The servers could use a little improvement, but nothing that makes the dining experience unpleasant. All in all, I’m grateful to Clearwater for being my home.

We couldn't leave fast enough! Under the shiny facility is a poorly managed care facility and if your loved one can't get the care they need, then all the bells and whistles don't matter. If you love you grandparent, mom, or dad- look elsewhere.

Clearwater was very helpful as I visited several locations in search of the best place for my loved one. They applied no pressure, answered all of my questions very honestly and did very thing possible to help the process move smoothly within MY desired timeframe. I have NOT been disappointed. I do not live in the area, and find it is very comforting to received reports from friends, family and our primary doctors (Reno VA) that the entire Clearwater staff has been very helpful when they visit and they are quite impressed with The Community. Without question, my loved one is happy to be living at Clearwater. PS. my loved one is a very fussy about food --- and gives Clearwater five stars.

We have had a family member at Clearwater now for 1.5yrs, and the experience has been super. We were experienced with other AL/MC facilities for another family member in another state, and knew what to look for. Clearwater at Rancharrah has features which help our family member thrive and continue to after her medical setback, with in-house PT/OT, plenty of visitor space, game rooms, ample dining space indoor and outdoor, and live music and other socials are plentiful. Our family member even helps with gardening, her favorite hobby. It all depends on your family member and their needs, ours is thriving and her needs are well met. We're grateful for the helpful and caring staff at Clearwater.

The Clearwater staff and care team have helped our mom in countless ways since she moved in several months ago. Nida, the Executive Director, is incredibly responsive and engaged, and we are reassured to know how well the care team cares for her; Diana has also been a great resource for coordinating our mom's medical care. Kiesha is fantastic. Activities are varied and fun, and there is a warm and friendly community of residents there. The entire staff, from care team to concierge to maintenance, goes out of their way to respond to needs patiently and attentively. Our mom is happy and well-cared for, and that means the world to us.

Recently visited this place for my grandmother, and I absolutely loved it. The amenities, activities, food, and apartment homes were nothing short of amazing. My parents recently moved into the brand new and recently opened Clearwater at Rancherra Assisted Living. Their apartment is spacious, well designed and has a surprising amount of storage. The facilities (movie room, gym, craft room, dining room etc.) are beautiful and laid out around a landscaped interior courtyard. The move-in process was well managed and the employees were helpful throughout the course of setting up the apartment. I’ve found the staff to be attentive (and excited to be there) and the activities directors are keeping my parents entertained with chair exercise, crafts, and individualized activities. They are really enjoying meals in the dining room and the personal attention of the chef. The staff is easy to contact via phone or email and responds promptly to my questions and requests. The nursing and medical staff are easy to talk to and have addressed all my concerns in a professional manner. Strict Covid protocols have been followed and my parents were vaccinated within 3 days of their arrival. My parents are looking forward making new friends and to the time when family visits are allowed. In the meantime, I know they are happy and well taken care of
