I want to say i have been to a lot of Alzheimer’s and dementia places and there is nothing like this place it definitely feels like a home this is definitely a great place for your love ones to be they are like family here the staff is amazing and Joy the Director is so caring and loving and understanding she’s amazing ,Tracy and Michael are just as great your love ones are in great hands here they are treated like family.

I am grateful to the staff at The Arbors. We moved my dad from a neglected state at Ambrosio Guillen Texas State Veterans Home in El Paso. He went from a continuous state of aggravation and bed sores to being happy, smiling, content and well cared for. Choosing a place for a loved one is never easy, but The Arbors of Del Rey has truly been a blessing for our family. From the moment we walked through the doors, it didn’t feel like a facility ” it felt like home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and there’s a genuine sense of comfort everywhere you go. The common areas feel like cozy living rooms where residents can gather and spend time together, and the dining room feels like sitting down to a family meal rather than a cafeteria. Even the outdoor spaces have that same home-like feeling ” peaceful, open, and welcoming. What means the most to us is the way the staff treats our loved one like family. They take the time to talk, laugh, and truly connect, not just provide care. That personal touch gives us peace of mind every day, knowing they’re surrounded by people who genuinely care about their well-being. The Arbors has given our family the comfort of knowing our loved one is safe, cared for, and most importantly ” happy. Our family member has been part of the Arbors family for more than two years, and it indeed feels like a family. The staff are caring, professional, and importantly many have worked there for many years as they see their work as a calling. Our LO receives more stimulation than she would get if she was home with just us, and by relieving the stress that 24/7 care causes the caregivers, we can spend our time together doing enjoyable things and not worrying. They have helped her through ups and downs and we all can have peace of mind knowing that her medical, emotional, and logistic needs are all being met by a competent and attentive staff. This is the best memory facility we’ve come by. The facility is nice and homey with animals in the back for the residents and there is always staff available for help if needed. Joy the director is always very attentive and is available for any questions we have. Definitely recommend if you’re thinking about transitioning a loved one to a facility.

Michael the executive director is great there. He’s very professional and always answers questions. You can tell that he’s dedicated to his job and cares about the staff and most importantly the residents. Arbors has many activities for the residents and it always feels so welcoming inside.

A warm and homelike atmosphere where residents with dementia are treated with kindness and respect. The staff is experienced and attentive, the food is tasty and geared toward specific dietary needs, and the residents are able to engage in activities that range from gentle exercise to art to movies. The back area has a putting green, a small garden, and a pen for a pony, goat and ducks. It's a welcoming environment for residents and their friends & their families. Initially, I felt deeply conflicted leaving my L.O. there, but he is more socially engaged and safe than he could be at home.

I would like to clarify the phone and visiting policy. They encourage phone calls and visiting and we have a wonderful time visiting my mother and her horse. I never expected to find such a suitable place for my independent and animal loving mother. My brother and other visitors are astonished at how radiant she looks. She is thriving and positively radiant under the skilled care of the kind staff. I highly recommend this facility.
