I have to say the house is clean and the staff is nice. But the doctor on call denied care to my friend. She was diagnosed with Covid but really had the flu, couldn't hold anything inside for two days, Doctor on call said NOT to take her to the hospital even she was severely dehydrated. A family member took her to the hospital where the MRI showed that she had a stroke recently but the family wasn't told about this. This is neglect and it's so sad that people (Doctors) just don't care about their patients as they should. Edit:I have to correct my first review. My friend had two mini strokes, but had no signs of a stroke, so the care givers or the doctor couldn't have known about her having a stroke. Caregivers are wonderful and caring, Doctor needs to be more passionate and caring and do his job right!

My mother in law needed to move in to a memory care facility and we thought it would be horrible for her and the rest of us. But it has turned out to be good for everyone - safe for her and most of all, Dmitra at the dogwood house has been able to help her remain engaged and useful. Diane was a professional social worker and as a resident, she befriends everyone and likes to help with anything that needs done. My other experiences at a memory care facility was they kept people sitting down, TV would be on loud and discouraged interaction - it wasn't good. I have only positive things to say about Dmitra and the dogwood house.

My Granny lives at the Dogwood House in Rio Rancho, and I love to visit her there! At first, I was nervous because I didn’t know what it would be like, but it’s such a nice home and Dimitra who works there made me feel very welcome. Granny enjoys showing me her garden and we like to sit outside on the patio – the backyard is very nice!
