Very pleased with level of care provided to our Mom. Nursing staff very professional, dedicated and attentive. Staff at all levels very kind, warm and supportive with a very positive attitude for all residents. They will sometimes go above and beyond, which further enhances the experience. Variety of activities in house and via trips. helps foster good community spirit. Safe apartment with new appliances provided on move in. The facilities could use a bit of a sprucing up but are clean and decorated nicely for each season or event. Nice rooms for private celebrations. Given elevated costs for senior living care, overall a really good value. We are very satisfied that we chose Brookdale, West Orange.

My mother has lived at Brookdale West Orange since 2014. She has been very happy there and likes the food as well. The staff is wonderful and are always very helpful and supportive. Jay Brooks, the current director, has been one of the best directors she has had since she arrived. He has made this very tough time as bearable as possible. He treats the residents as family. All of the workers do the same. My brothers and sisters and I are very happy with the care our mother receives every day.

Our experience with Jay and his staff at Brookdale was outstanding! From our first tour until my father in law passed away, we knew he would be well cared for---I found every staff member kind, helpful and patient. My calls and emails were always returned while Dad enjoyed his new home for 2 years. I felt welcome there and when it came time to pack up his things they pitched in to help--saying goodbye was difficult. Choosing Brookdale , after looking at many facilities , was EASY--I knew we found the best home in North Jersey for Dad.

My mother has been in the memory care unit of Brookdale West Orange since June 2020. My siblings and I have been thrilled with the care that she receives there. The responsiveness of the staff and their attention to our mothers physical healthcare needs, as well as personal hygiene and her emotional well-being, has been outstanding. They make her feel special and cared for, which has been so important to us during these difficult times of the pandemic when we cannot visit with her. Jay Brooks, the director, has done an incredible job communicating to family and friends of the residents the precautions that have been taken for the pandemic, the current status of the residents and staff, the special things that were being done for the holidays and helping us to feel connected to our mom with ongoing zoom calls with him and with our mother. Jays concern for the residents and the staff is unique compared with other facilities where our mother has lived. We could not be happier with our selection of Brookdale West Orange for our mother.

My Mom Florence Russo has been a resident at Brookdale Senior Living for over a year and a half. I spent a year researching and visiting several assisted living facilities in NJ before selecting Brookdale West Orange. My main reason for picking this Brookdale was the staff of loving caring people. The facility is a good size and well kept. Chef Bill does a great job with the menu also, but most importantly Mom is happy and safe there.

I would HIGHLY recommend this facility. My mother-in-law started out in the independent section but, due to frequency of the ongoing dementia, she had to be moved to the secure dementia section. Well, the entire staff, on both sides of the building, could not have been nicer, more caring, more accommodating, and sympathetic to both my family and especially my mother in law. From the music, games, arts & crafts, and particularly the loving care that was given, her days were happy ones. Unfortunately, our mom passed away in the middle of the night, and even, then, she was not alone. THANK YOU!!!

Amazing team, amazing leadership, and a fully committed front line team. As a former employee of Brookdale I can honestly say this community has a special group of people who care for the residents day in and day out. You can just tell by all of these great videos and pictures that Marshane uploads. These are not just for show, the residents truly have such an amazing programming director who lives the mission and truly creates new experiences for the residents everyday. The food at this community is 5 star and just by meeting the Director of Dining you feel the love he has for making the residents happy and making fresh meals that the residents request daily. Not to leave anyone out but to experience the love this team has for their residents and prospects you need to schedule an experience and see for yourself. Keep up the great work everyone and continue to make the residents happy and fulfilled everyday. The residents truly begin a new chapter of their lives when they live at Brookdale West Orange and if I needed to place a loved one in an assisted living community this is one I would recommend over anywhere else.

I can't say enough good things about Brookdale and the staff. Since my parents moved in there in November they have made them feel at home and helped us along with the process. My father passed away in February and the staff was so professional, compassionate, and helpful when it came to my mom. I would definitely recommend this assisted living to anyone looking.

This is a beautiful place if your family member needs assistance. Everyone works together to make the resident welcome. Special needs are attended to along with special diets. My Mom, Gloria Bertuzzi, has been there approximately 1-1/2 years. She is made to feel included and loves the people who care for her as well as the residents who have become her friends.

I may be bias (because Brookdale is an amazing company to work for) but our community in West Orange is truly unique and employs genuine individuals with the desire to care for residents. The best way to experience this feeling is to come in for a visit. Stop in anytime and there will be someone to give you honest testimony! We also love having company for meals, be our guest and join us for our delicious cuisine or even an activity! ?
