Reviews Atria Tinton Falls
August 2024
My father has lived at Atria for almost two years. He adjusted almost immediately because the staff was so nice and welcoming, plus good at their jobs. My dad moved to Atria after his wife (my mom) died. Atria employees made this transition as smooth as possible. My dad is very involved in the activities, like his apartment…and thinks the food is great!
April 2024
My mother was living in Florida and has been suffering from dementia for the past year. Her husband passed away in February and my brother and I wanted to bring her to a facility closer to us. After visiting several places in the area we settled on Atria. There were a variety of factors, not the least of which is that we liked how the memory care residents looked and acted. The facility is at the end of a residential road, surrounded by trees, peaceful and quiet. The staff made the selection and transition as easy as could be. I think like most people this is all new territory but the experience of the staff made it as smooth as possible. They were even able to contract with someone in Florida to do my mom's assessment in person (with no charge I may add). Most of all I would like to call out Kim, the sales rep, who has been our best friend throughout the process. She was never too busy to answer questions (by phone or email), was always reassuring when we had any issues or concerns, helped us every step of the way and even gave us a good lead on a local furniture store to buy furnishings for the unit. On the last point she even helped us out by accepting delivery of the furniture to save us from having to come down in the middle of the week and- check this out- even arranged the furniture in the layout we provided. I mean, who does that? I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this facility for anyone looking for memory care or assisted living.

The staff are very caring.
February 2024
We have had a wonderful experience transitioning my mother into the Life guidance (memory care) unit at Atria. Kim sat with us and answered any questions we had and let me know all my fears were normal and that my mom would settle in in no time. She was realistic about it as well to let us know that the first week or so could be tough but it would get better. My mom's transition was quite smooth with the help of all the staff! Brandon in life guidance has been incredible in being there for us and my mom; making himself available anytime through out the day to answer questions or give updates on my mom. We couldn't be happier! Angela made the contract part of the move smooth and Diane also sat with Kim, my husband and I to answer questions and help guide us!

I am extremely happy with our decision to move my Dad into Artria Tinton Falls after my mother passed. I know he is in good hands. The entire staff quickly gets to know and truly care for the residents. Kim R. has kept us updated during his first few weeks while he was adjusting and we truly appreciated it. Any questions that we have had , has always been answered quickly.

My mom could not have adjusted any better to her new apartment at Atria of Tinton Falls. It has been 8 months and she always shares with me how helpful and kind the staff is to her. She loves having her meals in the dining room and the daily activities she can choose from. The outings are her favorite. Whenever I bring her back from visiting me she says.. "Ah, there's no place like home!" For me I don't have the constant worry anymore like when she was living alone. I know she is happy, being well cared for and at 90 years old that's a blessing every day. Thank you everyone at Atria for helping my mom, Nancy D.

The staff at Atria are the best of the best!
April 2023
Caring, compassionate, patient, and knowledgeable are just four adjectives I would use to describe Michele Grande and Angela Bisking at Atria, Tinton Falls. Having them guide us through the cumbersome and emotional process of relocating our parents from independent to assisted living was like having family members in the “business.” Every email, phone call, and question we asked was addressed immediately and thoroughly. We are forever grateful for their wisdom and guidance. The level of customer service and care we received was incredible. Yesterday was the big day when our parents moved in, and there was Michele waiting at the door to welcome them home! From the moment my brother and I entered the building, we knew this was the place for our parents. These are good people!

My family toured Atria in Tinton Falls and we’re very pleased with our experience. The staff was very friendly. Residents were very happy and we left with a world of knowledge about senior living that we were unaware of prior to our visit. I recommend if you are looking for assisted-living or memory care to visit with he sales director Michele at Atria
April 2023
To all those considering Atria Senior living in Tinton Falls: Choosing an assisted living facility for a loved one, when they are incapable of doing so is not an easy task. However, that was the task my family was faced with. After researching nine facilities and visiting five, we decided on the Atria in Tinton Falls. Thankfully, this was one of the times we got it right 🙂 As with Atria, most of the facilities we visited were beautiful, well-kept, and clean. If I had to choose one thing that separated Atria from the others, it would be its staff. Upon walking through the door, we were warmly greeted by their receptionist Kathy Garofalo, after which we continued to be greeted by a constant stream of smiling faces and more warm hellos. We met with Michele Grande, the Community Sales Director, who asked all the right questions and took the time to listen carefully to our responses (a lost art these days). Michele introduced us to Atria’s Executive Director, Diane Karpus. It quickly became apparent that Diane runs a tight ship, where she values her employees and has genuine warmth for the residents. Michele and Diane are extremely informative, professional, and freely give of their time. Over time, our mother's dementia worsened, necessitating a higher level of care. Once again, Atria was there for us. Diane introduced us to Brandon Martinez, the Director of Memory Care. Working together with Kevin Green, the Director of Nursing, and Michael Wiener, the Assistant Director of nursing, a flawless transition was made. I can not say enough about the kindness of these men. Lastly, and arguably most important, the line staff. I only wish I could remember the names of all of them, because they are incredible! Their patience and hard work are always noticed and greatly appreciated! Forever grateful, Rich Auerbach

Moved our parents into Atria Tinton Falls yesterday and to say we were pleased would be an understatement. From the first tour we took through the facility right up until yesterdays move the team there could not have been nicer! Pleasant, helpful, cooperative, compassionate and patient are just a few of the traits of everyone that works there. Michelle G could not have been more helpful in getting us through the necessary paperwork and coordinating the move. Every employee greets you with a smile and they are all willing to lend a hand when needed. Our parents were welcomed from the minute they walked in the door. We could not be happier that Mom and Dad have chosen this place for their Golden Years.
March 2023
My family is so grateful for Arlene, Brandon and the whole staff. They make a difficult situation very manageable and can't thank them enough.
December 2022
Be careful of pricing and try to cap the next price increase. My mom was at Atria for 5 months and the next increase they requested was 16Ù with no explanation. 16% is not in line with inflation. The facility is very nice, rooms are nice, well taken care of. Also allows family members to stay over night.
October 2022
We toured the community and loved many things, but the friendly staff is what we were thrilled most about. The residents seemed very happy and busy doing various activities, which also was nice to see. Can't say enough great things about the faculty!
June 2022
For 3 years we have been working with Atria to transition our Mom. Michele has gone above and beyond to assist us. Her work ethic, professionalism and compassion is amazing. Constant communication, any questions are answered immediately. Very thankful for her help and the rest of the staff.
June 2022
My siblings and I had looked at multiple facilities, and we each like the Atria the best. So we brought our 87 y/o finicky Mom here, and she is very pleased! The staff is totally fantastic, friendly and cheerful. The food is very good. Lots of activities to chose from, or do nothing at all! We are all very happy with this new living arrangement.

Atria has been a wonderful organization to deal with. They made moving my mom a seamless experience. I cannot say enough about the efforts of Michele! She was the liaison for us with all areas and very quick to communicate answers to all of our questions. She genuinely cares about the residents and goes above and beyond to make them happy! Thanks for all you do!

My sisters and I are tremendously grateful to have such dedicated and compassionate staff caring for our mom in Life Guidance. Alyssas leadership was apparent during the challenging past year. We were comforted that mom was in good hands and she was happy when we spoke to her. The staff worked tirelessly to ensure residents were safe and comfortable. The staff is like family to us, starting with the Yvettes warm greetings at the front door. Highly recommended facility(home).

Hello everyone. My father was at the Atria, Tinton Falls, for nearly three years. I was so pleased to know that he was in good hands there. He was so happy every time I called and visited and always said how well he was treated there. Being far away was not easy for me but knowing that he had the compassionate staff there to tend to him, I was at ease. Kudos to Atria Tinton Falls. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
March 2021
Atria at Tinton Falls was the perfect place for my 90-year young mom. When I went for a tour, what impressed me the most was that ALL of the staff, cooks, maintenance workers, life director, medical personal, clerical, server and office staff knew ALL the residents by first name. It made me feel that they all cared about each other and it was one big family atmosphere. They constantly come up with ways to engage the residents to participate in social functions and recreational games. I feel that my mom is being very well cared for and all her needs are attendant to. Thank you Tinton Falls Staff.
March 2021
As the Pastoral Associate for the Tinton Fall facility it is a pleasure working with the staff who are always attentive to the needs of each resident . I have always felt welcome when I do my weekly services and the staff has always been cheerful and upbeat when working with me. I have noticed through my 3 years of being the Pastoral Associate that each and every residents needs are addressed whether it be medical housing or that of a personal nature.. The facility has the feel of an upscale resort hotel and has the look of same. I would highly recommend Atria to anyone seeking a permanent new home for themselves or a family member Michael Newell Pastoral Associate

On a scale from 1-10, the Atria is a 10+, We had researched many facilities in the area for months, and from my very first visit here, I knew this was the place! I could feel the level of care and compasion from the entire staff. Granted this has been the most difficult year we have ever seen, but this staff has done everything within thier power to keep communicaiton with family memember and to keep the residents safe and engaged during quarentine. I have the utmost respect for this facility.

My mother was a resident at Atria and now has passed away. I started volunteering here while she lived here and found myself continuing to volunteer once a week . Ive become very close to many of the residents. Atria was a very warning place while mom was here, as Ive continued to volunteer I see so many new and great changes. I spend a lot of time w the residents and hear how their entertainment time is getting more and more exciting. There seems to be an excitement in the air and as I continue to volunteer here I look forward to 2020 at atria ! Ellen especially stands out as a truly dedicated staff member and her enthusiasm towards her job and drive to bring new ideas to the residents truly shows. Ive recommended Atria to several of my friends with aging parents.

October 2020
I wanted to share our recent experience with the team at Atria Tinton Falls. A little back story: our client, who had no children in the area, wanted to move in to the facility to reunite with a family member. From the first moment we started working with Mike Betsch and the team at Atria Tinton Falls we knew our client was in good hands. Mike and the team took excellent care from the day we met to the day we moved her in. The level of care, attention, and communication was superb.
September 2020
I had such a wonderful day today! Had lunch and dinner in the dining room today. The dining room looked so beautiful with a fresh coat of paint! The food was delicious! It was so good to eat with friends!
September 2020
Fun activities, great food, and fabulous friends!
August 2020
The staff at Atria has always treatment me in a warm and friendly manner. They are professional and go out of their way to make residents feel special even on an ordinary day. Ellen, the activities director goes out of her way to attend to the residents. Michael, Tammy, Kara, Yvette, and many others have always greeted me with a smile and their compassion for what they do shines!
July 2020
My mom has been a resident at Atria for 15 months. She is 97 and our family realized she could no longer live on her own after my father passed away. After extensive research we chose Atria. The facility is always immaculate and nicely decorated for all of the holidays. The staff is outstanding and they all know her name and watch out for her on a daily basis. Eddie the maintenance manager always takes care of anything to do with her room that we need assistance with. Ellen does an outstanding job with resident activities and is always encouraging mom to join in. She even let mom host a talk on quilts and hand made items. That was a fun event and there were several residents that attended and seemed to enjoy discussing hand crafted items they used to enjoy doing. We are so grateful to have mom in a clean, safe, pleasant environment. It gives my entire family peace of mind that she lives here.

When I arrived at Atria to move in, I was angry, I knew I could no longer live alone and I had not liked having a live-in caregiver; but I hated to leave my home. At that time, I thought I would just stay in my apartment and not participate in any activities. However, when I arrived , the wonderful greeting I received ( Champagne, etc ...) threw me off guard. As I walked around everyone greeted me with a smile knew my name. That was most impressive and I felt truly welcomed. Today, I have met many people, made a lot of friends and enjoy lots of activities. I even have been appointed an ambassador, all this in 10 months.
December 2019
My grandparents lived there over 10 years. Not only did the staff go above and beyond caring for them, there were multiple occasions where they literally saved my grandma. A slight change in my grandmas behavior, and they brought her to the hospital. If they hadnt, she would have died a few hours later. My grandpa made it to 89, my grandma a few days away from 92, in the Atrias care.
July 2019
There are so many reasons why I would recommend Atria, from my initial interaction with Mike Betsch, who was very knowledgeable, kind and caring and answered all of our questions throughly. He also went to see my mom when she was in rehab, words cannot express our sincere thanks. To the nurse Judy who helped us with her medical expertise and helped us get my mom to a normal state Thank You! To the aides -Nurses in the Living Enrichment Wing, Thank You for taking care of my mom. Special kudos to Eileen your smile and humor always made mom chuckle and grin. The aides there are to many to name but Thanks for always looking out and taking care of mom. Unfortunately, mom needs more care than Atria can provide, but it was great to experience the family atmosphere. Family of Shirley Toth

Facility looks very nice from website. Cost is about $5,600/mo for 1 bedroom apartment. A few 1 bedroom options to choose from. Move in fee is 1x monthly cost - quite high. I visited on own and am taking my step mother on Friday. Very impressed with what I saw. They have availability and are willing to work with me.

April 2014
My mother has been a resident for over two years and I couldn't be more pleased. The staff is courteous, kind, always pleasant and caring. They stress that this is her home and strive to ensure that she is comfortable and feels special. Atria is kept clean and cheerful on a regular basis both inside and out. On special occasions, such as holidays, it is given an extra special glow. I honestly can't think of anything I would change at this facility. There are activities, movies, happy hours, entertainment, and all the little personal touches that make each resident feel at home. Marquette, Rita, Lisa - everyone - great job. You should feel good about yourselves when you go home at night because you've made so many good people feel that way and I know sometimes that requires a bit more effort on your part. Thank you for all that you do. I know I have friends here.
