I recently transitioned my 97 1/2 year old active mom to Atria Senior Living at Tinton Falls and I couldn't be more impressed with the Facility-People-Programs and Food. There is a Chef overseeing each meal-offering a Chef Special of the Day for breakfast-lunch and dinner. Their people are so hands on-from the individual aides that care for my mom to the activities directors making sure she participates and enjoys the experience-to the wellness people looking after her-right to the managing director who oversees everything. She is in a Studio apartment which is complete with a large bathroom-a small but functional kitchen area to plenty of room for a bed-large reclining chair and a nice size dresser for a good size 55 inch TV.

I am an Independent Living resident here. All staff members are kind and courteous; lots of socialization and interesting programs and outings. Nice meal choices every day. Excellent housekeeping services and maintenance. I’m quite happy here.

The grounds are beautiful. Our room was recently renovated and it is very comfortable and meets our needs. The staff at all levels are very friendly and supportive. We had questions and minor issues that were addressed and resolved. The activities are plenty and the entertainment is also very good. There is a new head chef who promises to have our dining experience even better. We are adjusting to our new environment by making friends with other residents mainly by meeting them through activities. In comparison to other places we have experienced this is the right place for us. It is a bit expensive but the services and staff give us a good return.

After searching and visiting several senior living facilities, in the New Jersey area, the Atria Tinton Falls was the superior choice for my mother. Michael Tucker, Community Sales Director, went above and beyond by scheduling a last-minute facility visit, on a Sunday (his day off), for my mother and I to tour the facility. He also scheduled the nurse, Katherine Van Buskirk, to be available to conduct an initial mental evaluation of my mother to determine her level of care requirements. We then met the facility Director, Diane Karpus, who provided many insights to the staff qualifications and the day-to-day operations, which she guaranteed contributed to a very caring and loving environment. Everyone was very personable, which made our decision to move forward very easy. The next day we met Angela Bisking, Community Business Director, to finalize all documents, understand monthly costs, and decide on my mother's first day. Michael ensured all move in needs were met. Outstanding job by all.

A little about my background. I was raised in Brooklyn, New York. Out of high school, I enlisted in the US Air Force spending my time in the Air Defense Command behind radar scopes in New Jersey, West Virginia and the Distant Early Warning (DEW) Line on Canada’s Baffin Island. Upon discharge, I attended and graduated from Fordam University in the Bronx, New York with a degree in Accounting. I worked for Arthur Anderson and Company. In 1972, I opened my own practice as a CPA. Today I am retired, living in Atria Assisted Living in Tinton Falls NJ since August 2025 where I have made new friends, with similar tastes, and experiences. The management and staff at Atria are kind, caring and understanding of our needs. There are daily games and activities that provide physical as well as mental challenges in friendly competition. Family and friend visitors are welcome throughout the day. All religions are provided men of the cloth as well as resident prayer groups. Therapists of mind and body are available and tend to what ails you. I feel safe, comfortable, and cared for at Atria. If you decide to make a move to an assisted living and or memory care facility, I highly recommend Atria Assisted Living in Tinton Falls, N J. JC

I toured Atria in August when I was looking for an independent living facility for my father. Dad couldn't live alone anymore, the house had gotten to be too much, and he wasn't eating nutritious food. Lori at Atria was great - we discussed at length my Dad's preferences and personality. She wasted no time in sharing how they could meet those and even looking in the system to see who he might be compatible with to form new friendships. Dad had a love of model trains, and when we arrived to tour the apartment, they had framed photos of trains outside the door. It was a thoughtful detail that made the place feel like home already. the staff were great and residents I spoke with were very happy there. Ultimately, I did not choose Atria because my Dad (and his trains) needed a little more space and I know he wanted a full kitchen. But he would have been very well-cared for at Atria, and I would have felt comforted knowing he was in good, nurturing hands. I would recommend this facility to anyone.

This June will mark my sister's first full year living at the Atria. We come from a very large, close-knit family and the staff at the Atria have become an extension of the closeness we share. The staff is so friendly, helpful, and truly focused on the comfort of all of the residents. This can be witnessed from all the departments: medical, entrance desk advisers, activity programmers, cleaning, meal planning and management. The staff makes our sister feel like " a big fish in a small pond", which has provided her more confidence in her recovery. We are especially impressed with the Activities Staff, who go above and beyond to custom design, vary the programs, and actively encourage resident participation. My family and I use the Atria Inner Circle app regularly to scan the daily events so that we can better coordinate the timing of our visits and possible participation. CARE is truly provided at the Atria. The on-site rehabilitation dept. was a plus in finding the right match for our sister. Kudos to the Atria and many thanks from our family to yours! For anyone ( family or self) searching for a senior living place, please make this facility a priority to check out!

My husband has been a resident of Life Guidance since November 2024 and is thriving. I was impressed the moment I visited Atria Tinton Falls for the initial tour. Brandon Martinez couldn’t have been more helpful and kind and informative. Sharna Ross, the Life Guidance Director is exceptional and her dedication to the residents is obvious each time I visit! Trinity Grajales, the Life Guidance Program specialist, brightens up the unit with her energy, and kindness. Each and every aide on the unit is caring and quick to meet the resident’s needs. I am thankful every day that my husband is well taken care of and happy to be a member of the Atria family!

My father has lived at Atria for almost two years. He adjusted almost immediately because the staff was so nice and welcoming, plus good at their jobs. My dad moved to Atria after his wife (my mom) died. Atria employees made this transition as smooth as possible. My dad is very involved in the activities, like his apartmentand thinks the food is great!

My mother was living in Florida and has been suffering from dementia for the past year. Her husband passed away in February and my brother and I wanted to bring her to a facility closer to us. After visiting several places in the area we settled on Atria. There were a variety of factors, not the least of which is that we liked how the memory care residents looked and acted. The facility is at the end of a residential road, surrounded by trees, peaceful and quiet. The staff made the selection and transition as easy as could be. I think like most people this is all new territory but the experience of the staff made it as smooth as possible. They were even able to contract with someone in Florida to do my mom's assessment in person (with no charge I may add). Most of all I would like to call out Kim, the sales rep, who has been our best friend throughout the process. She was never too busy to answer questions (by phone or email), was always reassuring when we had any issues or concerns, helped us every step of the way and even gave us a good lead on a local furniture store to buy furnishings for the unit. On the last point she even helped us out by accepting delivery of the furniture to save us from having to come down in the middle of the week and- check this out- even arranged the furniture in the layout we provided. I mean, who does that? I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this facility for anyone looking for memory care or assisted living.

We have had a wonderful experience transitioning my mother into the Life guidance (memory care) unit at Atria. Kim sat with us and answered any questions we had and let me know all my fears were normal and that my mom would settle in in no time. She was realistic about it as well to let us know that the first week or so could be tough but it would get better. My mom's transition was quite smooth with the help of all the staff! Brandon in life guidance has been incredible in being there for us and my mom; making himself available anytime through out the day to answer questions or give updates on my mom. We couldn't be happier! Angela made the contract part of the move smooth and Diane also sat with Kim, my husband and I to answer questions and help guide us!

To all those considering Atria Senior living in Tinton Falls: Choosing an assisted living facility for a loved one, when they are incapable of doing so is not an easy task. However, that was the task my family was faced with. After researching nine facilities and visiting five, we decided on the Atria in Tinton Falls. Thankfully, this was one of the times we got it right 🙂 As with Atria, most of the facilities we visited were beautiful, well-kept, and clean. If I had to choose one thing that separated Atria from the others, it would be its staff. Upon walking through the door, we were warmly greeted by their receptionist Kathy Garofalo, after which we continued to be greeted by a constant stream of smiling faces and more warm hellos. We met with Michele Grande, the Community Sales Director, who asked all the right questions and took the time to listen carefully to our responses (a lost art these days). Michele introduced us to Atria’s Executive Director, Diane Karpus. It quickly became apparent that Diane runs a tight ship, where she values her employees and has genuine warmth for the residents. Michele and Diane are extremely informative, professional, and freely give of their time. Over time, our mother's dementia worsened, necessitating a higher level of care. Once again, Atria was there for us. Diane introduced us to Brandon Martinez, the Director of Memory Care. Working together with Kevin Green, the Director of Nursing, and Michael Wiener, the Assistant Director of nursing, a flawless transition was made. I can not say enough about the kindness of these men. Lastly, and arguably most important, the line staff. I only wish I could remember the names of all of them, because they are incredible! Be careful of pricing and try to cap the next price increase. My mom was at Atria for 5 months and the next increase they requested was 16 with no explanation. 16% is not in line with inflation. The facility is very nice, rooms are nice, well taken care of. Also allows family members to stay over night.

The holiday party they hosted was spectacular from decorations, jovial spirit and the special food. She still talks about it! After struggling with a very difficult decision, we finally decided to seek options for my aging mother. She has been living with me for quite some time now, and although it hard, I had to admit her decline was evident. Working part time and caring for my mother was becoming taxing and of no benefit to either her, myself or my family. My siblings and I met with the community sales director, Michele Grande, at Atria Senior Living. As apprehensive as I was, not to mention overwhelmed with guilt, Michele took the time to educate us on the facility and the care our mother would be receiving. She took us on a complete tour, introduced us to healthcare workers and answered all our questions. Her compassion, warm heart and professionalism gave me the confidence that we were making the right decision. If anyone is struggling with a similar situation, I would absolutely recommend speaking with Michele. I left our meeting knowing that she had my mom's best interest at heart.

He was so happy every time I called and visited and always said how well he was treated there. On a scale from 1-10, the Atria is a 10+, We had researched many facilities in the area for months, and from my very first visit here, I knew this was the place! I could feel the level of care and compasion from the entire staff. Granted this has been the most difficult year we have ever seen, but this staff has done everything within thier power to keep communicaiton with family memember and to keep the residents safe and engaged during quarentine. I have the utmost respect for this facility.

Atria at Tinton Falls was the perfect place for my 90-year young mom. When I went for a tour, what impressed me the most was that ALL of the staff, cooks, maintenance workers, life director, medical personal, clerical, server and office staff knew ALL the residents by first name. It made me feel that they all cared about each other and it was one big family atmosphere. They constantly come up with ways to engage the residents to participate in social functions and recreational games. A little back story: our client, who had no children in the area, wanted to move in to the facility to reunite with a family member. From the first moment we started working with Mike Betsch and the team at Atria Tinton Falls we knew our client was in good hands. Ellen, the activities director goes out of her way to attend to the residents. My Mom was a resident for 3 1/2 months in their memory care unit. She was very happy there. The studios are adorable. The staff was nice. Be aware of paying the community fee. Equal to 1 months rent. My Mom had a breathing episode. Was admitted to the hospital.Be aware that they can refuse a patient to return. They couldn’t handle her being on oxygen. So you lose your fee money. ALL of it! Director tried to say it was my decision. What nerve! It’s the doctor s decision. There’s a lot more , enough said for now. Just BEWARE!! It’s been 1 month since I sent them my email, not a word from them! Just want to also say with their refusal to take her back, had to pay $1925.00 a week for 2 weeks while searching for a new place for my Mom. And, the director David said he would take care of everything. We rushed and removed all of her things. This is how he took care of everything- tried to charge an additional month because we didn’t give enough notice. Imagine that!! So on top of everything had to deal with this ! Stop payment of check etc. Also there’s a state law in N.J. that says seniors are to get their fee returned. Just be so careful with whoever you chose.

My grandparents lived there over 10 years. Not only did the staff go above and beyond caring for them, there were multiple occasions where they literally saved my grandma. A slight change in my grandma's behavior, and they brought her to the hospital. If they hadn't, she would have died a few hours later. My grandpa made it to 89, my grandma a few days away from 92, in the Atria's care.

My mother has been a resident for over two years and I couldn't be more pleased. The staff is courteous, kind, always pleasant and caring. They stress that this is her home and strive to ensure that she is comfortable and feels special. Atria is kept clean and cheerful on a regular basis both inside and out. On special occasions, such as holidays, it is given an extra special glow. I honestly can't think of anything I would change at this facility. There are activities, movies, happy hours, entertainment, and all the little personal touches that make each resident feel at home. Marquette, Rita, Lisa - everyone - great job. You should feel good about yourselves when you go home at night because you've made so many good people feel that way and I know sometimes that requires a bit more effort on your part. Thank you for all that you do. I know I have friends here.
