All the staff that cared for my mother in the subacute section were very attentive to her and always available to answer my concerns or questions. When I was told that she needed to go to the long term side due to her condition that’s where things changed. Number one do not let the administration lead you to believe that your loved one with dementia or Alzheimer’s cannot go anywhere else. I was told that this a long term facility was the only place for her but I went with my gut and placed her in an assisted living place with a memory care unit where she received the utmost care. She was attended to quite frequently and was not placed in a small room sitting in a wheelchair for hours with the preschool show Paw Patrol on. That show is demeaning to people in long term care. Number two-the staff interaction compared to subacute is not the greatest. The staff did what they could. The issue seemed to be understaffing, which seems to be a common trend in long term care. For the most part the facility is clean, subacute is the better side and if a loved one is told that their only option is long term with the ridiculous price of $375 a day in a shared room do your homework and see if an assisted living place has a studio apartment available. There are plenty of places in Gloucester County. A place like assisted living offers your loved one a place to die that’s like home and not institution like. A memory care facility offers privacy something that one would never get in long term.

Overall my husbands experience at Advanced Subacute has been spectacular! We have only recently arrived to Advanced SubAcute, but so far we are very impressed with the staff and the care. The facility is very clean, open and bright. The meals look appetizing and are served hot. Staff standouts have been Zee and Kai and speech therapist Mike, so far. Monica toured us through the property and answered our questions patiently. Mom has a tough road ahead, but when you are greeted with caring smiles, it makes you feel better about the journey. Thank you

I’m visiting my friend who’s been at advanced subacute rehabilitation twice in the past and now her husband is a resident in their long-term care section, She and her husband would not choose any other rehab facility other than Advanced. When I first came to Advanced I had a post-op infection that was missed at the hospital. My amazing nurse Mimi here at Advanced identified the infection contacted my surgeon at the hospital and helped me get through a potentially dangerous outcome. It’s a testament to the great care here and quite frankly everyone at Advanced has been not only accommodating but VERY friendly. Going to the hospital, then rehab is not easy and they’ve certainly made it easier for me and I can’t be more appreciative. I’ve been to another local rehab in the past and this one is hands-down superior. The facility is clean. The staff is friendly and the care is excellent.

Place very clean, employees extremely nice, the only problem that I had when my mother in law received her lunch on mother's day she was to have mashed potatoes, green beans gravy and baked chicken breast along with her roommate neither one received chicken due to them running out. No replacement was offered or given. She needs protein in order to heal as do many others and if not given the proper meals they will not get better or strong enough to return home.

The Advanced Subacute Rehabilitation Center visit was awesome. Coming in the door, the receptionist was kind and pleasant. The tech came in to see if he was doing okay or needed anything and, when we expressed concern for his pain, she relayed it to his nurse, who came in right away. This facility and its empolyees are nothing short of incredible. They have kept me in the loop regarding my wife's care, and are incredibly fast to respond to her needs. My wife has been into either an acute or subacute facility 7 times over the last 6 years. None of these facilities come close to this one when it comes to compassion and care. Also, the food appears to be on par with what would be served in a restaurant. Advanced Subacute Rehabilitation Center is the best by far.

I am currently a patient here and the only issue or concerns I've had is the lack of knowledge the receptionist has regarding service dogs.My daughter's civil rights were violated with the questioning and demand for "papers" to prove my daughter needs her service dog whose job is to alert to seizures that can be fatal. I thought the below list of dos/and donts and refresher course on disability rights may help considering your facility is "committed to provide the highest quality personal service and exceptional care to foster healthy and independent lives". You have done amazing things with this facility. It was a night vs day difference from where it was. Please educate your staff to prevent any further illegalities. Also hire more nurses and aides. The bare minimum patient/staffing results in poor patient outcomes. All the staff I have had contact with all deserve a raise! Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service dogs visiting nursing homes are not exempt from being vaccinated, but they are generally exempt from providing proof of vaccination (such as rabies certificates) as a condition of entry. Nursing homes, as places of public accommodation, cannot require documentation, such as vaccination records, for a service animal, just as they cannot require documentation for the service animal’s training or certification. Vaccination and Access Rules Vaccination Requirement: Service dogs are not exempt from local licensing and vaccination laws. They must still be vaccinated in accordance with state or local regulations. Proof Prohibition: Under 28 CFR 36.302(c)(6), businesses”including healthcare facilities”shall not require documentation as a condition of access. Allowed Inquiries: Staff at a facility may only ask two questions: Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?. Exception: If the service animal causes an injury to someone, the facility may then request proof of rabies vaccination. Distinctions and Best Practices Service Dogs vs. Therapy Dogs: The rules above apply specifically to ADA-defined service dogs (trained to perform tasks for a person with a disability). Therapy dogs, which visit nursing homes for comfort rather than aiding a specific handler, are not covered by the ADA and can be required to show vaccination records. Voluntary Compliance: While not required, many service dog handlers carry a rabies certificate to make entry easier, as local health departments sometimes wrongly advise facilities to request them. Safe Handling: Nursing homes may exclude a service dog if it is not housebroken, is not under the handler's control, or poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others. Note: The Department of Justice (DOJ) guidelines prohibit requiring documentation, even if state or local laws say otherwise.

Whenever we had a question, or requested help we were addressed quickly and always handled with empathy. This was our first experience at a rehab facility, and when I got there, I was extremely nervous and Mimi his nurse immediately took me under her wing and helped us feel comfortable about this next step in my husbands care. I came to Advanced Subacute with multiple medical issues and I’m happy to say that after my time here, I am leaving in much better condition than when I arrived. The nursing staff and aides are simply remarkable and the physical therapy at Advanced was amazing. The team here listens and they worked with me to make sure I was comfortable with the plan which gave me piece of mind so I could concentrate on getting stronger. There are many facilities that you can choose from but I’ve been around the block and this is by far, the only facility I would highly recommend. If anyone is in need of great care and physical therapy, Advanced Subacute is the place to go.

I’ve been a nurse for almost 10 years and everything from the beautiful facility to the caring and knowledgeable staff, there is no better rehab rehabilitation facility than advanced subacute! I am very happy I chose advanced! From my Nurses to the Rehab staff they’re are great. I met my nurse Mimi the night i arrived at the facility, she took great care of me and made sure i was comfortable, she is a great human very compassionate and an amazing Nurse, she knows her stuff and will answer any question for any resident or their family on the unit, i’ve noticed that several times.. then there is Melissa my morning nurse she is great. Mayrene my evening nurse is awesome and very caring and compassionate, always smiling and helpful. my CNAs Kia, Elsie, Brianna i can’t say enough about those ladies. All the PT/OT team got me moving and they’re are so helpful.

The reason for a 4 rating is because no one is ’ perfect but Advance Subacute comes pretty close..I had a major surgery on my cervical spine on July 11.2015..i was sent from Hospital to a rehab which was a LIVING HELL upon leaving it I was not ready for release so I ended up back in hospital,after which I was sent to Advance for rehabilitation...I l.ike most people expected the same treatment as before...To my surprise...I was welcomed at 5 pm.( Which is considered night shift ,when most paperwork or nursing care is not available ) by 5 aides. 2 nurses and my nighh

DO NOT GO HERE!!! My husband went there for rehab he was having issues walking. He left the facility in an ambulance due to being extremely lethargic. One of the nurses told us they didn't understand the doctor order for a very important prescription he takes. So, they were giving him a lower dose, of course I can't prove it, but if my husband was getting the right dosage, he would have not ended up back in the hospital on a vent. The nurses are ignorant, I asked one about a test he had her response was I don't know I just got back from vacation, and then I had to go find her to get the test results. They told me they can't look back on a previous day to see what happened. I got a phone call about something that happened to him I got there, and nobody could answer my questions, they had no clue what I was talking about.
