Mom was at the point where she couldnt live by herself or manage her own affairs anymore. I selected Juniper Village Paramus for their assisted living, and Ive been very happy with that choice. She immediately began receiving regular medical and psychological care, and they brought her depression and anxiety under control within a matter of weeks. The facility is bright and clean, and the management and staff are wonderful and responsive. There are plenty of activities to keep the residents occupied for most of the day, along with an on-site beauty salon. Mom is the happiest Ive seen her in many years, thanks to Juniper.

Juniper feels like home (or even a vacation). Nothing about it screams assisted living. Every time I walk in, the place is full of bustling happy seniors. Its so cute. Friendly people sitting out front, sitting by the piano, mingling in dining room. Really different feeling than the typical anxiety you get walking into a nursing home. Clean, smells great, fresh farm-to table food, friendly staff, (From Peters awesome vision and philosophy on aging with independence and optimism, to Linda who is AMAZING, Katie and Beritta in Nursing, Stephanie and Jill in therapy, Chelsea, Michele in recreation, even the front desk staff!) and beautiful spaces. And can I just say- it is so darn refreshing to deal with staff that does what they say they will!? It seems like such a small thing but to anyone with a loved one in a senior living-wow. People at Juniper do what they said they will! And they respond. *I want to thank therapist Stephanie Pires, the director of Rehab for trying everything she can (even getting creative!) to help my dad. I know with people like her he will try his best to make even the semblance of progress towards quality of life. She is a breath of fresh air compared to some of what I have seen-experienced. Just want to thank you. I feel like my Dad is surrounded by love. ❤

My dad is living in memory care at Brookdale Paramus. I liked this place better than the others because it was a little bigger and there was more room for my dad to really walk around. I feel that it's the best place for him. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating. They keep the people very entertained. Every day they're doing something like games, music, movies, trivia, and baking classes. I have not eaten anything there, but my dad really enjoys the food, and it looks very good.

My Mom will be "celebrating" her second anniversary as a resident of Brookdale Paramus this Saturday 3/17/18. While I was impressed with everyone I met from Brookdale during my interview while I was considering having her live there, it turns out that her life now is even that much better than both she and I expected. Every single person employed there, from the Sales/Management personel right on through to the Nursing Staff, the Patient Aids and Custodial and Kitchen staff are kind, compassionate and generally concerned that residents are well looked after and content. I never ever have to worry about my Mom's well being again and you simply cannot put a price on that peace of mind.

We moved Father to Brookdale Paramus. We chose it because he was in a Brookdale facility in North Carolina, so moving him from Brookdale to Brookdale was easier because they follow the same procedures. They were able to transfer his information easily because it was in the same system and we didn't have to repay the community fee. The familiarity of how they do things and the cost savings of the community fee was a plus and the difference in care cost wasn't that much different. The other thing is the Brookdale we moved him to is only about two miles from the house that we will be moving to later this year, so it's the facility closest to our home. They have a memory care unit if he should ever have to move there. He tends to stay in his room or in the wellness center. They serve three meals a day. The staff has all been very interested in my father and very hands-on to try to get him acclimated to his new surroundings. I didn't find anything comparable for less money. They are very good about coordinating medical care as well.

We chose Brookdale Paramus because the location and the price are good. The place itself is very nice. Mom has a pretty big room with a bathroom and a walk-in closet. There's a sink, a microwave, and a fridge in the kitchen area. We were able to put in a table with two chairs and two big dressers.

I found the Brookdale staff to be very caring and attentive, especially in the Dementia section. Yes my mom's family are regular visitors, but whenever we stopped in, we found her doing well. The entire staff should be commended. Thanks Naren and EVERYONE ELSE.

Brookdale seemed very nice and clean. It was a little smaller in the common areas. The staff seemed very nice, very sweet, and very knowledgeable. The room was a little dark, but it seemed nice and clean. We saw the residents playing Bingo. The dining area was a little small but very nice. They had no Medicaid room so that turned us around.

Brookdale was nice; they just didn’t have a room for my dad. They have a 1-bedroom and studio where you can bring your own chairs and beds. In between patients, they paint and change the rugs every time. It looked very nice.

I visited Emeritus (Brookdale Paramus). It was pleasant and quiet-looking. There were a variety of different size rooms. They were clean. The facility was well-staffed. It seemed to have policies and procedures enforced in order to ensure safety of the residents. We did notice in some of the communal areas that they had an activity room where they had puzzles laid out on the table that were in progress. Also I thought the facility was well secure. It was in an established location. In order words, everything seemed to be maintained, it was clean, and procedures and processes seemed to be working.

Brookdale is very nice and clean. The staff is pleasant and answers all my questions. The rooms are very nice, clean and large enough. I have not eaten there, but my father says the food is fine and he is happy with it. He is kind of picky, so if he say it's fine it is better than okay. They have big and open dining room like a family style restaurant. They have outings, bingo and exercises. They have choirs that comes in every once in a while. I like the size; it is comfortable and not too big. However, they can do more with the security.

As a nurse at Brookdale I can truly say the service we provide goes above and beyond our duties. Along with our exceptional Leaders we provide great care to our residents. My joy of going to Brookdale each day is when I enter the 2nd floor and smiling faces of the residents waiting to greet me. Some wanting to tell me about there night some just wanting to know who is the nurse on duty. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a home for their love ones to come in for a tour.Ruthann 6-2 Nurse on Duty

Emeritus at Paramus was a newer facility, but it was significantly more expensive. It was more modern. The staff was very accommodating. They called to follow up a few times to find out about what our decision has been.

It is a Brookdale community in Paramus (Emeritus at Paramus). The staff is very informative about the programs that they offer, and they also helped us with some VA benefits. The place itself is great. The rooms are very nice, very clean, freshly painted, and had new carpeting. My mother-in-law just moved in on the first of April. They have everything there in terms of activities for the people. She does bingo every day, and they do have transportation. I think they do a restaurant once a week, and they also do shopping. It seems to be very secure. There is always someone at the desk and someone who can lead you and show you around. No one is walking around by themselves. There is always a person who will take care of whatever. Right now, everything seems to be very good. She gets her medication and her meals right on time. We're really very happy so far.
