Harmony Village at CareOne Paramus can't be beat! The facility is absolutely beautiful and the staff is courteous, kind, and caring. They treat the residents with the highest level of respect and attention they deserve. I can see a huge difference since the new executive director Kirstin Walsh came on board. She makes sure the residents and their families feel right at home, whether it's by hosting festive and fun events, sitting and talking with the residents, lending a helping hand to the chefs, helping the nurses, or just offering a smile. If you are looking for a well run, friendly, and attentive home for your elderly loved one, I highly reccommend Harmony Village at CareOne Paramus.

My mom has been there a month now. I am pleased on the attentive staff and extreme cleanliness of the premises. The facility is very secure. I visit often and it is nice to see that my mom has been engaged in the activities and she always looks her best. The memory care staff has a lot of challenges and they all respond with very pleasant attitudes. The individual studio apartments are top notch. All new appliances and furniture. If you are dealing with an elderly person with dementia, I highly recommend Harmony Village at CareOne on Paramus Road in Paramus, NJ.

Harmony Village in Paramus is truly the best for memory care. I highly recommend it. As someone in the medical field, I am well aware of how patients should be treated and cared for. This place is amazing. They have shown extreme kindness and patience (which is very much needed with this population). All I want is for my mother to be blissfully happy and well-cared for, and this place does this. The charge nurse Blanca does an amazing job despite the added complexities of residents' memory and cognition deterioration. The food, activities, and social events are excellent and abundant. This is the way memory care facilities should be run. Thank you for taking such good care of my mom. 🙂

Harmony village's team made a really tough transition as easy as possible for mom and our whole family. Mom came from an assisted living facility that said they could handle her FTD and from day one it was obvious they could not. I'm an emergency, we had to find her a new spot within the first 2 months Gelina worked hard to get her an apt at hv. Joan was amazing at educating me about mom's condition when she assessed her. HV is the only memory care facility that I saw that had memory care specialists. It was not perfect, we needed to pay for extra aids because of mom's condition but when room opened up, they moved her to a neighborhood with more support so we could not do that anymore. Mom lived in 3 neighborhoods so I got to know a lot of the staff. And there are so many really experienced and caring people there. I won't name every person because I'm afraid I'll miss someone. They have activities that fit the neighborhoods and a lot of on site services. Blanca and her team kept in regular contact with me. And even the ED, Risa, was always available. When mom died with hospice care at HV we had aids hugging us with genuine care. Is dementia what anyone would want for a loved one? no. And when you do get touched by it, it can be a really lonely place. It was great to find a place where I knew both my mom and my family were well taken care of.

I can honestly say one of the most difficult moments of my life was walking through the doors of a memory care home realizing that it was exactly where my Mom needed to be. But Harmony Village not only welcomed our loved one with open, caring, loving and capable arms, but also immediately made our entire family feel a part of its family. The process of finding a home for loved one was a long and arduous one for us, one that involved much research, and many, many visits to other homes. But to us, there was never another option once we walked through the doors of Harmony Village. Harmony Village brought out the best in my Mom, and each day the Staff helped her find her way by personalizing the experience. We got to watch Mom make friends, help in the kitchen, be creative, get exercise and enjoy her "happy hours". We held hands and walked the beautiful grounds together and even snuggled with her Grandkids in the movie room, things that made her smile. Together, we celebrated in style her last birthday as we surprised Mom with a "party" in the conference room. This is one of my last and best memories of Mom to this day, and it is truly thanks to Harmony Village and the wonderful team that always went out of their way to make things happen for the betterment of the families. To the Staff of Harmony Village .... Trust me when I say we could never say thank you enough!!

It was not an easy decision for my family to place my mom in a memory care facility, but we knew it was time. We chose Harmony Village in Paramus due to the staff’s extensive dementia experience and qualifications. Recently mom needed hospital care and was transported to the ER. Blanca Valle, head of nursing, was in constant touch with us at all hours of the day and night. She helped us navigate the transition from facility to hospital and then back to facility… twice! Several staff members, including Peg, Jose and Shirley assist us with weekly zoom calls that connect us with mom even though we live in different parts of the country. They truly care about the residents and do all they can to fill their days with meaningful interaction.

I would highly recommend Harmony village of Paramus for loved ones with memory challenges. Risa kory leads a team of caregivers, nurses, activity coordinators, maintenance and kitchen staff who are compassionate, patient and keep the facility extremely clean and welcoming. Blanca, lead nurse, is always available to answer medical questions. My mom has made many friends with other residents and keeps busy with the daily activities. While watching my mom's memory decline has been difficult, knowing she is happy, active and well cared for every day at this point in her life is a great relief for our family. I had a fullfilling visit with my mother. It started with a automated personal signin with temperature, and facial recognition checkin. Journeying her floor and area with limited access rfid card. The staff was very helpful to my mother explaining her son was visiting. I cannot stress enough the importance of a full DEMENTIA facility. We had mom in dementia -assisted living facility that was impressive looking and and people were nice but due to unfortunate circumstances mom was removed. My mother was one of one first resident of Harmony Village. She is 95 years old and lived in Florida until I brought her up north after Hurricane Harvey. Since she arrived she had been in 5 different residences. She was never happy in any of them. In 5 months she had emergency room visits , to Valley hospital, at least 7 times. I received emergency calls all the time,, usually because she had fallen. Then she moved into Harmony Village. I give thanks everyday that this is her new home. The brand new, sparkling Village is just gorgeous and modern. But more than anything else I have never met such a wonderful, caring, professional staff. From the top administrators to the cleaning staff everyone is totally dedicated to make the residents fell comfortable and cared for. They handle each persons problems with dignity.. They are always providing a variety of activities to keep them both stimulated and busy. The food is freshly prepared on premises, catering to the residence needs. All I can say is that if you are looking for the right facility for your loved one with dementia or Alzheimers do not make a decision until you visit HArmony Village. Once again I can sleep at night feeling confident that my mom is well cared for. BR
