I only have a week of managing a dear friends rehab stay this far. Front desk ladies very nice . Nursing staff on day shift not personable . Tech Yahm ( not sure if spelled correctly) is a nice guy & seems caring . So far room is clean . My friend has not yet had a shower they use body wipes . So not a fan of that as replacement for a shower . They seem understaffed in day shift . The one night I went Christine I believe is night supervisor was nice and answered my questions . Meeting next week to discuss plan of care and my friends goals moving forward . I wanted him at a stroke rehab but because he requires two person assist out of bed they declined him so I choose Tallwoods for the closeness to where I live so I can check in on him at anytime . I hope this is a great place moving forward it would nice to say there’s a wonderful rehab/skilled nursing facility in Bayville nj. Hoping things continue to go smoothly and he receives the care he’s paying for , it’s that said I have no idea of the cost this far . So at this point 3 stars as I don’t have much to base a score on yet . Hoping for 5 for my friend and our community .

TALL WOODS - After spending 3 days in the hospital due to a pelvic fracture, I was told I really needed to go to a care center for rehabilitation and physical therapy. Tall Woods is in close proximity to my home, and was rated a 5 on the list of local care centers provided to me by the hospital. I was medically transported to the care center and was immediately welcomed by a group of 3 employees, including a nurse and a CNA, who took me to my room and provided me with an overview of the facility. From the first night I arrived, I understood how necessary the rehabilitation component was. The nurses were readily present and overseeing my medical needs. Day and night, they monitored me, as did the various doctors who were in regular attendance. Not only did they check my vitals and monitor my medications, they were very also knowledgeable about the break I had sustained. I can’t say enough about the aides who were so kind, compassionate and understanding in assisting me with my personal care. Not only did they know how to deal with the injury I had sustained, but they managed to put me at ease in accepting their help. So many were wonderful, but some were truly extraordinary. “ Janice, Georgia, Gemma, Tammy, and the superstar of nighttime aides “ Sue! As important as my medical and physical care were, the physical therapy was also so crucial to my recovery. I found the physical therapy team to be made up of very knowledgeable individuals, who worked well together, but also individually. Within a few days, I was able to see almost daily improvements. I felt that they were always realistic with me, understood what my goals were, and worked with me to reach those goals, so that I was able to return home in less time than I originally expected. These three come opponents, the medical staff, the support staff, and the Physical Therapy team were the things that were the most important to me, and they did not disappoint!

My father Joe is there now for rehab. Everyone is very kind and helpful. I have to say it's the cleanest nursing home / rehab that I've been to. They go out of their way anytime I call or need something for Dad. The 2 gentlemen, Addie are exceptional, as well as the nurses and aids. Night and day shift. The reception ladies that greet you are wonderful as well. Highly recommend Tall Woods!

I can’t say enough about this care facility! From my first phone call with Savanna to my very last visit after my mom passed everyone was so kind and so on top of everything. They made the transition from the hospital to the facility so smooth and easy. They truly gave the best care to my mom, They continued to keep the family updated on her progress, And even reached out after her passing. If you were looking for a facility for your loved one, this is truly the best place to go. thank you to all That took care of my mom!!

My sister-in-law and I toured the facility today, and what a wonderful experience it truly was. We walked in without an appointment and were accommodated within minutes of arriving, we were met by the Director of admissions Savannah, we were asked a few questions about our loved one that we were touring the facility for, and then shown around their wonderful facility. We were so honestly in awe of first how helpful the staff were, and then how clean, bright, and open the facility is. Mind you we have seen a few different facilities before coming to Tallwoods Care Center, so actually walking into this facility and after touring it, we knew right away that this was the place we wanted our loved one to be. I would recommend other families that are making the hardest decisions in looking for that perfect place to leave and trust the care of for your loved ones, to just go visit this place and see with your own eyes , and feel with your own hearts what a wonderful place this could be for your loved ones. We as family members of a soon to be resident at the Tallwoods Care Center feel finally at ease in our decision of placement for our loved one. We are looking forward to all the time we have left now with our family member knowing they are being well cared for.

The receptionist is always very helpful with any requests I have for my sister-in-law and handles them very quickly. Also Savannah and Alexis have been very helpful in helping get my sister-in-law set up as a full time resident in the memory care unit. If I need to make any changes they are always very courteous and helpful to do them for me at a moment notice .

Just joined our 2nd holiday party at Tallwoods. They do an exceptional job making everyone family. To the staff from the kitchen, aides, housekeeping, nurses, director thank you for everything you do. It never is an easy situation but everyday that goes by it never goes unnoticed the care you all give. I honestly feel like my family has grown between ALL the staff and the residents. Thank you!

My husband Frank Lustig was at Tallwoods care center for 3 months because of a fall he incurred while at home, there are not enough words for me to say about what a wonderful facility Tallwoods is. My husband arrived when they had a lockdown and you couldn’t see your loved ones, my husband has dementia and I was so overwhelmed that I wouldn’t be able to see him I just fell apart but god sent an angel to me and that was Michael the administrator who noticed me outside feeling defeated and he came to my rescue me, he was the kindest gentleman I have ever encountered, he brought me inside and said we will help you. A Social Worker named Auvhia came to talk to me who was another angel sent to be with me. They were so kind and after talking to me I was able to visit my husband they arranged for me to visit him so he wouldn’t be afraid and from that moment I knew this facility would be the best because they showed so much empathy for me. Everyone from the therapy department to the Pine unit Nursing Station to the Aides treated my husband like family. I went there everyday and was always greeted with a smile and Michael and Auvhia always asked are you going okay and if you need us we are here, that is very rare in a nursing home to have such empathy towards another person but as I always told Michael your mother should be very proud of you your an amazing man.Michael would always pass my husbands room just to say hi and if he needed anything, my mind was at ease knowing he was in good hands. Auvhia is an angel, so kind and caring always concerned about my well being, I just can’t say enough about their kindness. I just want to thank the therapy department for getting my husband back on his feet so he is able to come home all the therapists were amazing and the nursing station Kari Janet Joe and Janice were the best their are do many people that made my husbands stay enjoyable I can’t mentioned them all, but I don’t have any negative comments just positive feedback about Tallwoods so if you have a love one that needs care, please don’t hesitate call Tallwoods and they will truly treat you like family . I just want to thank you sll for making me and my husband feel comfortable while at your facility, your caring hearts help get my husband back in track. Tallwoods has potential, but there are areas that need improvement. The facility feels outdated, and while the care is adequate, it doesn't go above and beyond. Unfortunately, the food is a significant downside. My father refuses to eat it, and after trying it myself, I understand why. For the premium prices they charge, I believe they could offer much better in terms of meals and overall experience.

From the Administration, to the Nurse's, CNA's, OT, PTs, Nutritionist and even the cleaning crew, you were treated with concern and respect throughout your stay. I highly recommend Tallwoods. Even the food was delicious. They offered entertainment and social games and I even got my flu shot. This is how a Care Center should be run. You don't need to worry about your love one, if they do their recovery at Tallwoods.That's the highest recommendation I can give. Thank you all for the service you gave me.

We were at the Tall woods facility not long ago doing some work. I have to tell you I was so impressed by the professionalism of the staff, they have everything worked out to a tee!! The care that is given to each patient, like it were their very own loved one. The administrator Michael is so kind and empathetic to all the residents and staff, He runs his facility with respect and efficiency. I would definitely recommend sending your loved one to this facility.
