This place is a total blessing in my life! I have had many negative experiences with long term care, and various rehab centers, and knew mom was better off living with me. However, it's a challenge! When I toured the facility I shared the challenges my mom can be with the director. She calmly assured me she understood my life and was able and willing to help. She and the staff have been so kind to me it brings tears to think about it! When I pick mom up she is bright eyed and much chattier than when she spends a day at home. She can't ever remember what she had for lunch but she remembers she liked it. It always smells wonderful! My kids have also noticed that she is more engaged. The activities at the center have improved her interactions with the family. Thank you, thank you, Franciscan Center!!
