We hosted A Place At Home for a Welcome to Omaha Event last April at Cham Pang Lanes. The group was so incredibly nice, and our staff loved serving them. Ashley, the Omaha Marketing Director, was amazing to work with. She was kind, organized & enthusiastic about planning this welcome event for those who work with A Place At Home. As the Director of Events, my job is to help plan & execute large parties that host their events with our organization. Ashley made my life so easy as she was so detail oriented & provided me with all of the information I needed. The attendees of the event were amazing. I could really tell that each individual was passionate & really cared for the organization & what it stands for. Being able to take control of my own destiny was a major reason for my becoming an independent owner. The support from both NorEast and other independent owners has been awesome! If you choose to open your own A Place At Home Franchise, the biggest piece of advice I can give is to make sure you launch with 2 people in operations. 1 to do the day to day, recruiting, hiring, on-board training and 1 to be committed to marketing, sales and community outreach. You can obviously swap back and forth, but play to each other’s strengths and you won’t be able to fail at this business. Lastly, do it for the right reasons! If you aren’t in it to help others and improve the lives of those around you, then consider other ownership options. This business requires compassionate ownership.
