Been a resident for 9 years. What's not to like? Great management and associates. Amazing residents. Wonderful food. You can get involved and stay very busy or just sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful campus. Close to all services, but in a cozy little place all its own. Surrounded by 2 beautiful golf courses (sorry, you have to a member to play!). Financially, very stable. Come visit, you will be convinced.

We had always planned to 'live in place'. However, we decided that we owed it to ourselves to at least visit and learn more about retirement communities just to better understand our options. Our visits to several CCRC's were educational, but depressing. Facilities were old and out dated, waiting lists were years long, and most importantly people who lived there just looked to be sad and unhappy. Porters Neck Village was a total breath of fresh air. The campus was located in a lovely residential area, the facilities were new, bright, and welcoming, and both the staff and residents we met were outgoing, happy, and with smiles on their faces. Easy decision for us, and we look forward to making this our home next year.

We are on the waiting list for a particular duplex/condo. Porters Neck Village (PNV) has been very helpful in meeting our timeline and housing needs. We spent over a year researching and visiting CCRCs / Adult Living Communities in North Carolina and settled on PNV. There were three primary reasons we chose PNV: (1) the homes and condos were well designed and met our active living needs; (2) we really liked the facilities - the pool, exercise rooms, and the dining rooms (the food was excellent and served in a inviting atmosphere); and (3) the focus on maintaining independent living. We visited PNV last year for the weekend and convinced it was the place for us.

I can’t say enough great things about Porters Neck Village. The campus is absolutely beautiful and well-maintained, creating a peaceful and welcoming environment. What truly sets it apart is the strong sense of community”you really feel like part of a big family here. The employees are consistently friendly, helpful, and genuinely care about the residents. The residents themselves are wonderful and make this place even more special. What I especially appreciate is how residents are supported throughout every stage of life. There are so many opportunities to stay engaged, get involved, and feel connected within the community. Whether through social activities, wellness programs, or other avenues, there is a strong emphasis on encouragement, inclusion, and support. It’s a warm, uplifting environment that’s hard to find anywhere else.

I have been a resident of Plantation Village/Porters Neck for almost four years. It has made a tremendous difference in my life. The campus is beautiful, full of wildlife and I have met some wonderful and intelligent people here who have become family. The Associates are all helpful, delightful and dedicated people. The meals are varied and well prepared and the bar serves as a social gathering place. I do not believe that there is any retirement center in the vicinity that comes close to the campus, service and dedication that we enjoy.
