We just moved my mom and dad into Brier Pointe from Pennsylvania under an urgent situation. Michele and Glen were so helpful in the sudden transition for them, thank you!!! After 4 weeks, my parents are settled in to NC and love the facility (especially the food!).

In April of 2024 I opened the mailbox and found the flyer talking about a downsizing event to be hosted here at Briar Pointe Retirement Community. I never look at those I throw them immediately in the recycle but for some reason this one caught my eye. My wife had passed away almost a year before I was 84 years old and have my own physical issues and I needed to think about where I was going to live out the rest of my days. None of that was really on my mind when I made the call to ask about the downsizing event. They offered me a tour and the free meal and it was only 6 miles from where I lived. After hearing the price, I went home and added up what it cost me to own a home and to live in it independently. When I added up all the numbers it turned out to be cheaper to live here at Briar Pointe Retirement Community. Six weeks later my house was on the market, and I was moved in. I have never regretted that decision for a moment. There are so many activities here that if you actually tried to do them all it would be impossible because some of them overlap. One of the things that I found really attractive was there are paved greenways going both directions off the parking lot. Because of my wife's illness I had gained 50 lbs and needed to be able to exercise to help make that go away. When I first moved here, I couldn't walk a quarter mile without sitting down. Because of my own health issues, I don't go anywhere without a Walker, I know how dangerous falls are and I know I'm not nearly as stable as I used to be. Today I'm 50 lbs lighter and able to walk four miles in the morning and three miles in the evening. My Walker has 2500 miles on it since a year ago last June. This place has as much or as little social interaction as you want it to have. There is always something that you can do to be entertained. I've told people since the day I moved here that I'm living on a cruise ship, and I don't have to worry about getting seasick. And I find the meals to be outstanding I have never had a meal that I didn't like but if they cook something you don't like you don't have to eat it because there's plenty of stuff you will including well stocked salad bars and even personal pizza or personal cheeseburger if there's nothing on the menu that you want. All prepared by a wonderful well-trained experienced chef. I could not recommend Briar Pointe Retirement Community retirement community more highly in any way. The staff is always friendly, the food is always good and there's food available 24 hours a day if you really feel you need it.

I discovered this amazing cruise on land when I was bringing a friend to tour Brier Pointe. I was so taken with the people who live here, the staff, the cleanliness, and activities that I actually moved to Brier Pointe before the friend who was touring! There is truly nothing to dislike about this place and everything to enjoy!

My siblings and I are so delighted and relieved to have moved our mom to Brier Pointe Retirement Community. Patricia was instrumental in helping us with the process and streamlining the move. Mom is thrilled with her new apartment and is enjoying every aspect of the community, from the great food and fun activities to the highly competent and friendly on-site OT and PT. Love this place! My parents live here and were one of the first residents. It's been a great experience. Delicious food, a wide variety of activities, services, etc. Janice and Barry appear to have things running smoothly and are nice people, too! Really pretty place.

Brier Pointe has saved my mother’s life!! She was living at Azeala in Chapel Hill. After being there for a couple months we noticed a change in her demeanor. She wasn't able to walk as well anymore. We realized that they don’t offer any meal options. If you have any food restrictions you are out of luck! My mother can’t have carbs and can have very little sugar. Her knees were retaining fluid! We noticed some of her friends were moving here to Brier Pointe, so we came to check it out. Immediately when walking in the front doors, you feel like you are home! The staff is the most friendliest people ever. You can see how much they care about their residents. The chef at Brier Pointe is AMAZING! There are several meal options at breakfast, lunch and dinner! And they are healthy options! Don’t get me wrong, there are some YUMMY deserts for a day of cheating ° but to have a healthy option is SO IMPORTANT!! After my mom’s first two weeks of being at Brier Pointe, she had lost weight AND lost the fluid on her knees!! She is walking now more than she has in a while! The PT staff at Brier Pointe has also helped my mother tremendously!! Her improvement since being here is unbelievable! When I say that Brier Pointe saved my mothers life, I meant it in every aspect! She is so happy here. She feels so much better health wise and mentally. Thank you Patricia and the entire staff here at Brier Pointe! You have made my mother feel completely at home here. We love you all for it

Visiting my Mom for a week here, has been awesome. Very happy she found Briar Pointe. The staff have all been nice and very accommodating. I think I gained about 5 lbs, the food is excellent. Thank you all for wonderful experience, and taking such good care of my Mom. Not living close by, I feel grateful for such a place to be available.

I Just completed a tour of Brier Point Senior Living Community and I'm considering moving in. The chef is amazing and the meal was delicious. Also, they have 33 Health for therapy which is a great option. Overall, I was impressed with the amenities and the welcoming atmosphere . I was very comfortable.
