My parents moved to MerryWood about a month ago. They say the staff are all so friendly and the food is really good. We all love the grounds... beautiful trees and landscaping. I have found the staff to be very responsive to our needs. It has been a very positive experience for our family thus far.

Mrs. Huff at the front desk is amazing . She welcomed my mom with open arms. She remembered my mom name after meeting her one time. She made my mom from very comfortable after our first time visiting. She listens very well and doesn’t over talk you. If I could duplicate Ms. Huff I would. 10 starts to Ms huff

MerryWood on Park has been an answered prayer for my mom. It allows her enough independence to live “on her own”, but enough caregiving that I know she is getting the help she needs where she needs it. The facilities are exceptionally clean, and the activities are plentiful. The staff is absolutely exceptional. The food is really good, and they offer eat-in or delivery service as needed. I can’t say enough good things about MerryWood.

My grandma, mom, and I toured MerryWood on Saturday. Jill was fabulous and very informative! If the decision had been based on her alone my grandma would likely have decided to move there. Unfortunately, the facilities are quite dated and not maintained as well as they could be. While we enjoyed our tour, the amenities and offerings just did not compare to the option my grandma decided to go with. I will say the food was fabulous! We appreciated all of Jills time and can firmly give the customer service a thumbs up.

We visited MerryWood on Park. The rooms were very nice. There were ladies waiting out in the lounge area for the bus. They were all excited to go. The only difference between this place and the other places that I had gone is that they offer a buffet line, where you can eat off the buffet and not have to order off the menu. I thought that was nice in that respect that they have more options in your eating. Their rooms are well-appointed. Also you have a storage place right off your own balcony or your own porch. It is more like an apartment in that way, but you're paying for that, so it costs more to stay at MerryWood.

I work for Home Instead Senior Care. I am the Home Care Consultant. We have had a long history helping the residents at Merrywood to be able to remain independent in their apartments. With a little support, residents are able to remain safely independent and we are able to give their families peace of mind that their loved ones are well cared for. We can assist with temporary and transitional care as well as long term care. The staff is great and very caring, willing to go the extra mile for their residents! Food is great, lots of activities to engage residents, just a great active community!!

If you want a warm, friendly and loving environment MerryWood on Park is the place to call home or work at.... It was a fantastic place before and now it is being renovated and it will be even more fabulous. There are so many activities its hard to get everything in thats offered. Our Restaurant is known for its wonderful food that holidays are by reservation because family members rather come eat with Mom and Dad than bring them home or out for dinner.

Mom was there for the last three years and we could not be satisfied. Looking forward to the new renovations. They are committed to a contemporary environment and quality of care. Highly recommend this senior living for anyone considering!

We loved MerryWood on Park. The physical layout of the building was bright and clean. They had lots of amenities and activities. Even if you didn't go eat at a particular time, they always had an open buffet any time of the day. They had a fully furnished library, and the public library would come in and drop books at your request. They also had devices for people who were visually impaired to be able to read. The lady who gave us the tour was fabulous. They had a beauty shop. It was top notch and my mom really loved it. Everybody was polite and trying to anticipate needs. Location is key, and the building is fabulous. You couldn't ask for a better place for a loved one.

God provides when we cant. I have to work and from the from the front staff to the executive director, the compassion of these professionals are incredible. My mom was there for nearly 5 years before she joined my dad in heaven. She said many times how grateful she was for this community and its fine staff. Thank you Heather, Liz, and Raul for all you did. I wish i remembered others. Gods speed.

staff very helpful and friendly. food is awesome but the maintenance people are a joke. you can put in a work order and thats the end of it. you wait for 2 weeks and then you make a new work order and the cycle repeats . theres lots of flooding issue with toilets. sprolinklers going off in residents rooms and fire alarms 5 or 6 times a day. sometimes more. its a nice but old facility. its not worth the 4k a month though

Atria MerryWood is a very nice place but a little expensive. The tour was well-handled. The person that spent time with me was very efficient and very knowledgeable. They provide a calendar of activities. They have ongoing activities several times a week, and they handle doctors' appointments.

Touring Atria MerryWood was a very pleasant experience. However, they did not have living quarters large enough for my needs. I was very pleased with lunch. The people there were very pleasant and effective, but I did not meet any of the other staff except for one of the sales people who talked to me. If they had a larger living space available to me, I would have been very interested in them. I would recommend them to somebody who wanted it as they have many things that were appealing.

I am in Atria Merry Wood. The surrounding is very pleasant. The food is great, and the service people in the restaurant are very great. They have different sizes of rooms. They have one-bedroom, two-bedrooms, and things like that. The rooms are very clean. They have different arts classes, bingo, and things like that. They have music on Saturday nights. They take you out shopping, movies, and things like that.

I can only speak from my experience as a resident in the independent living section of MerryWood where I have lived for the past 17 months. I came here from Dallas, Texas to be nearer my son and family and knew no one in Charlotte, NC, but I was immediately made welcome by the staff, and all the employees and also the other residents. It has been very important to me that I have felt I have a loving and caring family here. It would be impossible for me to choose anyone of the people who care for my needs as I love each one. They are very special people.

Everyone at Atria MerryWood was very nice, and the place was excellent. The rooms and apartment were nice and clean. We had a meal there, and the food was delicious. The dining room setup was beautiful too. They have full bus service to doctors or if you want to go shopping at grocery stores. If you needed any type of assistance they have it there. They have a lot of activities. We were really impressed with everything.

We had considered the Atria MerryWood. It was a very nice facility. The only thing was the room that my husband was supposed to have gotten in the assisted living was kind of dark like in a darker hallway. It needed to be brightened up later, but that room was taken before we could get it. The age of the population there was a bit older than what we were looking at, but they were young-at-heart, and there were lots of activities going on. It was really kind of our first choice but, like I said, the room was taken before we could get it. I didn't get to eat there, but their dining facility was the one thing that they really pride themselves on -- their chef, their dining, and their options.

I had my dad on Atria MerryWood. When he was there, we were pleased with it. We chose it because he had some friends there, and I thought that probably would make him transition easier from moving from his house into a retirement situation. In addition, it was close by so I could drop in anytime, and it wasn't like I had to make a day of it. I could just run by and check on him if I was on my way to grocery store or church. It was convenient. The people working there were very good. I had no problems there. The room that he had was really nice. It was like an efficiency, and it had a bedroom with a walk-in closet, a nice size bath, a little kitchenette, and a little dining area. Part of the living room had a little patio that he could sit outside on. My father was not involved in a lot of activities, but one of the good things about it was that a friend of mine was in charge of the activities, so he was able to bring him to some of them. However, he didn't particularly like to travel because he a hard time walking. I had lunch there, and he wasn't as pleased with the food because he had Alzheimer's and he was interested in vegetables and corn bread. He did not like sandwiches. Lunch, he wasn't too happy about, but dinners were fine.

My father moved in early this year. I cannot put into writing how wonderful it has been for him, and for me as his care taker, but I will try. The management cares about the residents and has always been able to offer me resources and answer my questions. I recently had to move Dad to a smaller apartment within MerryWood and they told me everything I needed to know and made it incredibly easy on me. The staff is amazing! They know my father's name, know what help he will need, and anticipate any additional help he may need. They go above and beyond with everything. I've never spoken to a staff member there who was anything but helpful, cheerful, and most of all, beyond competent in what they were doing. Dad required help from the paramedics but refused to cooperate. I was called immediately. When I got to his room, the manager was with the paramedics and made sure they stayed until I arrived since she knew he would cooperate when I got there. The fact that she knew us well enough to do that made me feel so good about Dad's surrounding and safety. When my father lived on his own, he kept to himself and said he didn't want company, or friends. He now participates in multiple activities and especially likes the weekly poker game. He enjoys going to meals and has made many friends. These friends have been so helpful to him, they all check on each other and talk about what they're going through in the aging process and with medications. It has helped Dad to know he isn't the only person having some trouble. The change in my father is phenomenal. I am so grateful for Atria Merrywood and would highly recommend it.

I am very happy to be living @ MerryWood, where so many of the staff is so kind and helpful. I would especially like to recognize Michelene Love, who works @ the front desk. She always goes the 2nd mile and is so cheerful. She calls me to see how I am feeling. She always lifts my spirits. I am thankful for all the folk here. My daughter is writing this for me as I do not use the internet. I am very grateful for MerryWood and all they do to make our lives more pleasant and work hard to keep us engaged.

After our mom's stroke last year, she moved to Merrywood in Greenbriar Assisted Living. We are so pleased with the care and support she and we have received from all the staff at Merrywood. The professionals who staff Greenbriar are exemplary! Our family is forever grateful to the Greenbriar staff for making Mom's transition to life at Merrywood a success. Although it is difficult to select one individual who "stands out from the pack," Vicky May, stands out. We marvel at Vicky's care, concern, intelligence, humor, creativity, and ability to spin multiple balls in the air all while remaining professional. "Thank you," to Vicky and all of Greenbriar Merrywood for everything that you do.
