I visited a number of retirement facilities around south Charlotte and Providence Rd areas and when I toured MerryWood on Park I knew this was the place for my sister. It is bright, clean, updated apartments, many activities, and the personnel are the friendliest, cheerful, and most helpful I have ever seen!

I previously lived in this community and have many fond memories of my time here. I returned to visit friends for lunch and an afternoon of Mahjong, and it was wonderful to be back. The warm, welcoming atmosphere that I remembered is still here, and it was great to see familiar faces and reconnect with friends. The community is well-maintained, the staff is caring and friendly, and there are plenty of activities to keep residents engaged. My visit reminded me why I enjoyed living there so much. I would highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a friendly and supportive independent or assisted living environment.

As we considered a move into an independent living community for my mom, we visited multiple properties. None of them stood out like MerryWood on Park. Simply put, there is a vibrancy and true sense of community that is welcoming, inclusive, and inspiring. My mom moved to MerryWood on Park a few months ago and has just blossomed. She is taking advantage of many offerings within and outside the community. She is happy, engaged, and feels safe. We knew we made the right decision the day we signed the lease, but seeing my mom thriving confirms that belief.

We visited my father-in-law today and what a lovely place. He moved out from Los Angeles so Merrywood on Park had serious standards to live up to - and boy did they deliver. It’s so clean and welcoming from the front entrance and throughout.

When shopping for a community for my 86 year old mom to move to, we feel in love with MerryWood on Park. Rebecca and the staff there were so helpful and knowledgeable. They were able to answer questions before I even asked them! When we visited, we met several residents and ate in the delicious dining room. Friendliness and great customer service made this stressful process easy and smooth.

Rebecca is a WONDERFUL resource for someone transitioning to a retirement community. She is very professional and knowledgeable, and her approach is senior-led. She listens to the thoughts and needs of her clients, supporting the individual as they make this major life-change. The property at MerryWood is lovely, with mature trees and porches in many of the units.

I visited MerryWood on Park last week to inquire about care for a family member. This was my first meeting with anyone regarding elder care and I was brimming over with multiple emotions and anxiety. Even though I came in without an appointment, I was welcomed like I was an old friend. Their sales director, Rebecca Humphrey, immediately made time to sit with me and walk through the particulars. Because my family member needed an significant level of mobility assistance, MerryWood, unfortunately, was not the right fit. However, even though we weren't going to be a client, Rebecca still spent over half and hour with me sharing valuable information about eldercare resources, experts, and alternative sites to consider. Most importantly, she listened to my stories and concerns with such kindness and care. I left feeling uplifted and hopeful knowing I was not alone on this difficult path. I can't thank Rebecca and MerryWood enough for this incredible experience. While I'm sorry we weren't able to contract with their site, we are now on our way to a beautiful alternative center that offers more hands-on mobility care. I am very grateful for businesses and people like this that go the extra mile to help.

I love Merrywood on Park!!! my mother has lived there for six months now and was nervous at first but now she loves it! The dining room is lovely. They have theme dinners and parties, musical performances, movie nights, group outtings,meditations, and exercise classes. It’s like living at a resort! She’s made so many lovely friends and is enjoying being involved in her new community.

My mother (81) has been at Merrywood on Park for four months. She has thrived at this community. The best part about this community is the people. They are very welcoming. It is hard to explain but when you visit, you will definitely catch the vibe if it’s for you. The activities are plentiful and there is something for everyone should you choose to join. The staff is wonderful and helpful. All of the people that live here had their choice of communities and they all chose Merrywood. The apartments are very spacious compared to some of the other communities and the 2br porches are really nice.

My father moved into Merrywood on Park just over six months ago, and we couldn’t be happier for the experience he and I have had. Their facilities are ideal for someone who wants their own space but needs just a bit more support than offered by most independent living communities. But it is truly the staff that make Merrywood shine! From the chef and dining room staff to the concierge, life enrichment coordinators, and the community liaison- everyone shows my father much kindness and attention. We are very grateful to have found such a perfect spot!

I had been around Charlotte looking tor a place for my sister for a few weeks before I came to Merrywood. My daughter and I looked at each other and said wow the minute we walked in. Rebecca was so welcoming and the rest of the staff reinforced our view. My sister loved it!!! She was assigned an Ambassador to help her assimilate and within days everyone knew her name. More than enough activities to entertain her and a warm ambiance. Congratulations to the whole staff for creating a wonderful new home for my sister. Thank you!

My dad moved in to Merrywood this past weekend. We have been so impressed with the service and the all around culture of care here. Everyone is extremely kind, and caring and goes above and beyond to make the residents feel loved, safe, and part of a family. The other residents are happy and friendly and willing to help as well. The food is amazing”consistently good meal after meal, day after day. There are many opportunities for socializing. My dad could be busy every minute of the day if he chose to be. Rebecca, Bernadette, Alice, Trina, Ms. Vee, and Diane have all been super responsive to our every request and question”even after hours. I am so happy we found and chose Merrywood for my dad. I am confident that he will be very happy here.

We moved my 84-year-old mom from an apartment to MerryWood on Park. We felt it was time for her to be in a community like MerryWood but not sure how receptive she would be. I scheduled a tour online (very easy and convenient) and she agreed to go. Rebecca answered every question my mom threw at her and gave us a tremendous tour of the community. She didn’t rush the tour at all and let my mom absorb all the wonderful amenities MerryWood has to offer. We verbally committed the following day and signed the papers the next. She moved into a lovely one-bedroom unit four days later. The personnel, including Bernadette, were extremely accommodating to make this happen so quickly. My mom is enjoying not cooking/grocery shopping and having three meals available to her daily. She always said she wouldn’t be interested in the activities, but she has gone to bible study, bingo and music shows in her first week. She has already visited the salon. Having her at Merrywood is very comforting and such a relief to us as we know she is safe and she is socializing with so many wonderful people her age. Thank you MerryWood!

MerryWood on Park Road has been such a blessing to our entire family! We helped our mother move just a month ago and everyone of us are happy with her new home’! The residents are so kind and welcoming, offering daily support during a big change! The staff encourage her and go beyond the call of duty to help in all areas of daily life rides to church, to appointments, the occasional apartment need, etc. The weekly special outings are a huge highlight and help. The daily activities and social events encourage wonderful camaraderie and a sense of belonging. The buildings and grounds are lovely and create a wonderful safe venue to go for walks and meet new friends. I personally appreciate the concept of a dining concierge who seats residents at mealtime to encourage an inclusive welcoming experience, especially for newcomers! We are so grateful for Rebecca and the entire team at MerryWood who have made independent living at MerryWood a lovely experience for all who live there!

My parents moved to MerryWood about a month ago. They say the staff are all so friendly and the food is really good. We all love the grounds... beautiful trees and landscaping. I have found the staff to be very responsive to our needs. It has been a very positive experience for our family thus far.

I’m a nursing assistant and I have been going to MerryWood on Park for about 2 months and My patients love the place. I enjoy being there with my patients and the friendly environment MerryWood provides from the front desk, to the servers to the maintenance ladies. Everyone is so nice and welcoming, I love it and would definitely recommend this place. It is literally the place anyone would want to be at, they really go above and beyond !

God provides when we can’t. I have to work and from the from the front staff to the executive director, the compassion of these professionals are incredible. My mom was there for nearly 5 years before she joined my dad in heaven. She said many times how grateful she was for this community and it’s fine staff. staff very helpful and friendly. food is awesome but the maintenance people are a joke. you can put in a work order and that's the end of it. you wait for 2 weeks and then you make a new work order and the cycle repeats . there's lots of flooding issue with toilets. sprolinklers going off in residents rooms and fire alarms 5 or 6 times a day. sometimes more. its a nice but old facility. its not worth the 4k a month though

After our mom's stroke last year, she moved to Merrywood in Greenbriar Assisted Living. We are so pleased with the care and support she and we have received from all the staff at Merrywood. The professionals who staff Greenbriar are exemplary! Our family is forever grateful to the Greenbriar staff for making Mom's transition to life at Merrywood a success. Although it is difficult to select one individual who "stands out from the pack," Vicky May, stands out. We marvel at Vicky's care, concern, intelligence, humor, creativity, and ability to spin multiple balls in the air all while remaining professional. "Thank you," to Vicky and all of Greenbriar Merrywood for everything that you do.

I am very happy to be living @ MerryWood, where so many of the staff is so kind and helpful. I would especially like to recognize Michelene Love, who works @ the front desk. She always goes the 2nd mile and is so cheerful. She calls me to see how I am feeling. She always lifts my spirits. I am thankful for all the folk here. My daughter is writing this for me as I do not use the internet. I am very grateful for MerryWood and all they do to make our lives more pleasant and work hard to keep us engaged.
