We used First Light Home Care for our mom. We really appreciated the people we worked with and the wonderful caretaker our mother had, Ruth Campbell. We always knew when Ruth was with mom that everything my mom needed was done. It was such a relief to finally have help outside of the family that you could depend on! Ken and Mary Ellen were also very helpful with answering our questions or helping us make changes that helped our mom. We are so thankful that a friend referred us to First Light. It was a wonderful experience for our family!

Working for First Light has given me a great learning opportunity, both Ken and Mary Ellen see to it that we are current on all our paperwork and documentation. We have monthly (paid) training sessions where we are tested and rewarded for our knowledge, connect with caregivers, and get fed a healthy lunch. First Light does their best their best to be responsive to the needs of both the client and their employees, they are great to work with for 4 years in a row. In either capacity, I recommend First Light Homecare.

I just wanted to follow up about the great quality of care my dad continues to receive from First Light. Sherita was added to weekend nights a couple months ago and has been an amazing addition! I have been so impressed with how kind, caring and patient she is with my dad. Sherita pays close attention to all the details involved in great care! She always makes sure the house is sanitized and orderly each night! We are very blessed to have Sherita caring for my dad.

My husband and i enjoy having my caregiver, Heidi J, come to our home. I find myself being much more active when she is here, otherwise parkinsons disease would keep me bored, more sedentary, probably depressed. Heidi is willing and able to help me pruning flowers, painting a wicker porch chair, washing my hair, clearing out closets and piled up e-mails, organizing medical records, washing blankets. Reminding me to take needed pills every 2 ½ hours . With the help of Heidi i was able to get into a pool for water exercises. Also Heidi was willing to shop with me for clothes and to help me try them on which is much better than on- line. Shopping. She is cheerful company. The only problem is our cat decided he likes Heidi a little more than he likes us! B. Mcdermott

First Light is a wonderful company to trust with the care of your loved ones. Since my dads transition from rehab at a skilled nursing facility, we have been blessed with some of the most attentive, caring ladies to assist us on the weekends. Sarah and Heidi both go over and beyond with the care they give my dad every time they are with him. They treat him with such kindness and compassion, and know just how to make his day - whether its sweet tea, crispy livermush or baking cookies!I also cant go without mentioning Shannon, who was only with my dad one day, but was amazing. The care she gave my dad was top notch and she gave me some helpful information on a few products to aide in my dads care. The pride she takes in her job shines through brightly.If you are in need of assistance with care for a loved one, I would recommend First Light. Mary Ellen and Ken will really work to help you in any way they can!

I cannot express enough how thankful I am for First Light. Mary Ellen, Ken, Cara, Lisa, and the home health care workers are phenomenal. They are responsive, attentive, and professional at all times. Teresa, who helps my parents, has a heart of gold....she truly cares about my mom and dad, and takes good care of them on her twice a week visits. I highly recommend First Light to anyone seeking assistance with their loved ones.

FirstLight took great care of my mother. She was supposed to come for a visit to our home during Christmas of 2019. She ended up staying with us for a month. The care that she was given by the FirstLight team was top notch and their flexibility in our changing plans and time frames was great. We could not have asked for a better experience!

FirstLight is a first-rate senior care service provider! We engaged FirstLight to provide night-duty nursing to help our Mom transition back to her Assisted Living community, from a hospital stay. The team members Mary Ellen sent were prompt and personable and although thankfully, there were no incidents requiring their intervention, their presence removed our concerns for her well-being during those first nights of adjustment. This morning we had DoDoo come to our house to bathe my husband who came from the hospital after a 12 day stay. I can not express enough how wonderful he was with my husband. He is an extremely caring person with no rush on his part. He made sure that all precautions were taken to prevent bed sore. Thank you so much for sending DoDoo to us.

What an awesome Home Health Care company!! Ken and Mary Ellen Fleming, the owners, are among the nicest and most understanding folks anywhere. They were incredibly responsive to all our needs at all times and the aides they sent to our home were caring and industrious. My caregivers were considerate and always ,always on time. Recently our family had an urgent need for assistance with an elderly relative. Ken and Mary Ellen at FirstLight HomeCare listened to me about the situation we faced and immediately provided the care that was needed. Somehow they managed to get someone out to help us in just over twelve hours from my call for help. Everyone that came over the following days was warm and personable, yet totally professional. I felt confident in the level of care that was provided. Dependable, on time and honest are adjectives that apply to the aides we met. Flexible and understanding would be apt descriptions for Ben and Mary Ellen.I especially appreciate the hours that upbeat and witty Ms Inga spent keeping my mother-in-law safe and entertained. FirstLight saved us from extra stress and anxiety at a difficult time. I wont hesitate to use their services in the future.

My mother had some unexpected complications after her hip replacement surgery and I was in a panic to find a quick but safe solution. It was a blessing to find First Light. They responded immediately and provided an amazing caregiver to come to my home, just for a few hours a day. To help mom with simple tasks, keep her company and prepare a meal each day. They were prompt, polite, and so compassionate. It was easy and so much more affordable than I imagined. I only wish I had planned this solution before our crisis. Not only did they help eliminate my stress and worry, my mom feels like she has made a new friend.
