Choosing an assisted living and memory care community for a loved one is incredibly difficult, but the team here made my uncle feel like family. The nurses are deeply compassionate and act as true advocates for their patients. Even on the rare occasion when mistakes happen, they immediately own up to them and correct the issue without hesitation. I highly recommend them to any family seeking peace of mind and honest, dedicated care.

My daddy was a resident at Homeplace in 2019. He loved being where he was able to talk to others , eat well and get excellent care.

The administration, nurses, assistants, receptionist and medtechs are by far the most patient friendly, professional and caring staff we have ever encountered. My mom lives at Homeplace (her choice) after visiting multiple assisted living facilities and we both are so pleased with the assistance she receives daily. I have spoken to the staff on weekends, nights and times when I'm sure it wasn't convenient for them but they are always respectful and helpful. I trust my mom to them without hesitation!

We are so pleased with Sarah, Jamie and the Staff at Home Place of Burlington. They are always available to answer any questions we may have as well as everyone is so kind. We do not worry about our loved one as we know she is well taken care at the Home Place of Burlington.

We have found that both administration and staff here go above and beyond the call of duty to help with the needs of residents. The atmosphere here is friendly and accepting, and other residents seem welcoming and supportive of newcomers. My mom and stepfather each presented with a different and complex set of needs, and everyone here has taken the time to get to know and understand them.

I have always thought The Home Place was an excellent facility with a caring staff. The majority of our family members have resided there over the past 10-15 years. They liked it there & the family was pleased. What happen? Is there a staff shortage or do they not care? I went to visit my uncle Holt Boone on Christmas Day and was shocked and brokenhearted at what I saw. He suffers with Alzheimer. Holt was the kind of person where everything had to be perfect. His clothes clean & ironed, baths everyday and his house spotless. He is not capable of taking care of himself. His bed is seldom made and the sheets were soiled. It was disgusting. A fitted sheet was left for them to put on his bed. It never happened. They are suppose to help him get dressed in the morning. They will help with his pants but leave his pajama shirt on all day. We are not sure that he is getting baths. They are not helping him to the dining room. They left a note that he is to use his walker at all times. It's hard for him to use a walker when he is on one side of the room and the walker is on the other. I noticed they had laid his food on a tray but did not move it closer to him so he could eat. All he does is sit 24 /7 looking at a wall. Nobody should be treated this way. Would you like it if a member of your family was treated this badly? I will go back to the question I ask earlier. What happen? Our family would appreciate if you would give him the care that he deserves. Thank you, Faye Gwynn

The staff is caring and work with the residents and families well. With the COVID19 situation it has been a safe and loving place for my Mom.

This home place has proven to be the best retirement home I have come across. The staff truly cares about our loved ones. My aunt stays here and I can actually see a big difference in her personality since she came here.
November 2020
I have had a parent at Homeplace for eleven years, and I know of no other place that can compare. The residents are treated like family. The director and staff are caring, receptive, and helpful. When an issue is brought to their attention, they do their best to correct it. Rooms are comfortable, food is good, and the environment is clean. (I've seen reviews on other sites that say rooms are small, but that's not true. There are several sizes, and many are very large!) Many thanks to Bonnie for her superb service in managing this community.

Home Place of Burlington is the best! While it is never an easy decision to transition a loved one to Assisted Living or Memory Care, our family found the staff and Executive Director, Bonnie, to be amazing! They certainly follow the Golden Rule in the care they provide!
October 2020
Bonnie, the Director, does an excellent job managing this site. She is professional, compassionate, competent & responsive & genuinely cares about the residents. The staff was kind & helpful towards my mom during her stay. The only issue we had involved the business office trying to bill for days my mom was not yet a resident but because we completed the paperwork a few days in advance of her arrival. I would recommend not completing the Financial Bed Hold Form until after your loved one walks through the doors to avoid this headache. We did get the money refunded but it took multiple efforts before Bonnie resolved the issue. From my perspective, Tammy in billing, should have clearly stated that if you complete that form, that starts the clock ticking on fees. This was never explained or mentioned & the form is buried in among close to 20 pages of forms.

Homeplace feels like home. My grandmother was there for several years- she started out in Alf and eventually transferred to memory care. Bonnie and her staff are caring and love their residents and as I said make it feel like home for patients and their loved ones. Phyllis and her staff in dietary make delicious food. This place is one in a million.
July 2018
My grandmother has been at Homeplace of Burlington for about 1.5 yrs. Bonnie and the staff are fantastic - they work tirelessly to make sure that every resident there feels welcome and important. The rooms are also huge compared to other places we looked - plenty of space for grandma to have her things and feel comfortable. I would highly recommend.

Bonnie and staff will listen and help with your needs. Love them very much and still volunteer even though my mother passed away last year. She fit in Homeplace better than anywhere else!

My mother has been at Homeplace for over a year now and she truly feels safer and happier than in her home. At Homeplace she has 3 balanced meals each day plus snacks and treats on special occasions. She is provided assistance with medications and some mobility. The staff are always pleasant and lovely to work with. It’s like a cruise ship with daily activities, exercise, crafts, birthday parties and, even field trips!! Bingo is her favorite activity. Homeplace is like living at home with lots of friends.
July 2018
My dad has been at Homeplace of Burlington for almost nine years. He is completely happy there, and I'm in and out a lot, so I see what's going on. The key is the caring and friendly staff. I couldn't recommend this home more. I made the right choice.
July 2018
The folks who work at Homeplace of Burlington truly care about the residents there. The are caring and compassionate. I felt that they understood that some decisions about care were difficult for the family in cases when the resident was unable to make these decisions for themselves. I highly recommend Homeplace of Burlington.
July 2018
Bonnie and staff are fantastic! Always super friendly when you come in and very helpful.
