We have received an unbelievable and incredible amount of care and attention from Canyon Creek. We have been unable to find help in Wyoming and Canyon Creek was able to expedite options for care and help us give a loved one the attention he needs. Marianne in particular is an absolute saint. Everyone we had any dealings with was extremely professional and empathetic. Marianne walked us through all steps from the tour, financial information, medical information, and a low impact arrival to the facility. For the first time in a very long time we feel relief and appreciation for a first class operation helping us. I cannot praise them enough for all they have done. -Chris and Ann

I can't say enought good things about Canyon Creek and the staff there. I moved my husband to Canyon Creek in August 2023, after he had been at TenderNest Memory Care for 7 months. He had deteriorated in those 7 months to the point he could not walk or talk. In those 7 months he went from 240 pounds down to 160. Because we requested several time, then demanded that they do something to improve the care of my husband, they asked us to leave. Upon arriving at Canyon Creek, the staff was warm, inviting and answered all our questions and concern with direct answers and compassion. The facility was very clean, the food appetizing, and the staff/Doctor were top notch. Within two weeks, my husband was up walking the halls and could communicate with our children and me. He was smiling, gaining weight, and enjoying eating. Even though we were in our tenth year of early onset Alzheimers, we had him back. We only had a short six week with him before he passed. When he passed away, the staff could not have been more compassionate and comforting to all of us. We thank Canyon Creek for making his last six weeks filled with dignity, love, and kindness. I would highly recommend Canyon Creek for your loved ones. They truly care about the residents, and it shows.

When it was time to find a care facility for my mom we were faced with a daunting task. Canyon creek was one of many facilities we considered. After deciding,the staff at canyon creek helped make the transition for our mom go smoothly. The care she receives is top notch and they are always willing to talk about concerns or any issues with us. The doctor that visits is very helpful in explaining the progression of dementia this helps put our cares to rest. We know that our mom is and will be well cared for at Canyon Creek.

The facility is a family and smiles are ever present. My mom has been at Canyon Creek for about 8 months now. I appreciate the way they handle the difficulties of dementia. They never rush my mom or brush her off, but stop and give her reassurance and redirection. They are kind and caring to her and to her family as we live through this time as well. I moved both my parents to Canyon Creek Memory Care in February of 2021. I had actually moved their belongings into another care facility, but it just seemed wrong. I met with Marianne and toured the facility. I was so relieved that they were able to be there together. After years of caring for them, I was able to give them a new home at Canyon Creek. When my mom passed away last year, our Canyon Creek family was so helpful. My dad continues to love being there. He talks about how wonderful and helpful everyone is to him. I am so thankful to everyone there!

A great place for assisted living. The staff are all very kind to visitors and residents, the areas are very clean, and weekly doctor visits with detailed care. It helps calm my nerves and I feel comfortable having residents in their care.

My husband has been a resident since September 2022. After attempting to find a home for him several times, I returned to the staff at Canyon Creek for re-evaluation. Both he and I were welcomed with open arms, minds and hearts. It has been a relief to know he is well cared for. The entire staff communicates with me and each other for changing needs. We were reluctant to move our mom out of her home community but once we visited Canyon Creek, we were sold. I was impressed with Mariannes knowledge of their services and her friendliness to the residents as she greeted them by name on our tour. I loved the light and the outdoor space, but what really sold us was the long list of activities offered daily, with modifications depending on the skill and cognitive level of the resident. The activities were designed to use all the senses, from listening to music to enjoying the smell of baking bread.

We placed my Mom at Canyon Creek and honestly I have nothing but good things to say about everyone we have dealt with thus far. There are so many emotions swirling when a family reaches the point that they need help and Marianne, their Director of Community Relations, as well as all of the other caregivers have helped us every step of the way. The pandemic has been awful for everyone and I know they are doing everything within their power to provide a safe environment for their residents while also assisting family member visits with their loved ones through windows (with masks), FaceTime and even an App that allows family and friends to send photos and notes that are printed out as a newsletter every week for each resident. As a family member that would love nothing more than to be able to go in and sit with my Mom and give her hugs, I am more reassured each time I visit that all of the people caring for her are making her feel loved and my appreciation for that is deep.

I provided full-time care for my mother, Sharon, for five years from our home in eastern Montana before transitioning her to Canyon Creek in 2016. My mother had Alzheimers disease and I kept her in our home as long as I could until the demands of the 24-7 care became too much for me to handle on my own. I first visited Canyon Creek in 2015 when Amy Peterson was the care director and revisited the facility when Amy left and Marianne took over. My experience with Canyon Creek was positive and before my mother eventually passed from Alzheimers, she received the care and supervision she needed at the facility. I visited my mom at Canyon Creek numerous times and the staff was professional, accommodating, and caring, and I especially appreciated the group activities provided for the residents. The daily afternoon sing-along session was therapeutic for all the individuals who participated and it appeared to me the residents were kept active with a diverse array of group activities including exercise, music, art projects, etc. The facility was clean, safe, and the meals were tasty. All of my mothers care needs were met as she regressed from Alzheimers. The social interaction the facility provided afforded my mother the stimulation she was lacking in our home and she had two close friends, who took her under their wings when my mom arrived and provided needed friendship. The Canyon Creek staff did everything they could to welcome my mom into their close-knit community while aiding her in the acclimation process, which I was initially concerned would be difficult for her. Overall, I would highly recommend Canyon Creek for those families searching for a memory-care facility for a loved one who is afflicted with Alzheimers and-or dementia.

We were anxious and distraught at our efforts to find a place where we could keep dad safe. A phone call from Marianne, Director of Community Relations for Canyon Creek, changed the tone and stress level of the entire search. Now, two and one half years later, we are even more convinced we made the right choice. Canyon Creek is absolutely filled with caring employees, from the facility director to the hands on caregivers, who truly love the residents and treat them with kindness and respect. One of us visits the home almost every day, and we are always pleased to see the residents enjoying activities, enjoying music therapy, or just sitting around enjoying each others company. Dad has settled in to the community and looks forward to all the personal attention (doting) he gets from the staff. If you have a loved one needing memory care, I would suggest that you at least arrange for a tour of Canyon Creek to see how it measures up to your expectations.

The staff at Canyon Creek are very kind and caring. There are always activities going on. The atmosphere is comfortable and homey. Everywhere you go, it seems you have stepped back in time, perhaps to a time your loved one remembers. The TV shows, the music softly playing in the background. the artwork and the many curio cabinets situated throughout the hallways with items from bygone era.

We moved our mom to Canyon Creek June 29. As expected, Mom was not happy when she learned this was going to be her new home. I was struggling to find the right words to soothe her anxiety. Amy Peterson came to the rescue, as did Missy, the activities director. They worked wonders with Mom, and soon had her walkng down the hall with them. We left to take care of some business. When we returned Mom was a different person. She was HAPPY. I think that afternoon Mom had more attention than she had ever had in her entire life. Everyone is engaged in this facility, and exhibits a caring attitude. I feel so good about Mom being here, as I know she is in caring hands. Thank you taking good care of our Mother!

My mother has severe dementia and often times refers to me as her best friend, rather than her daughter. The staff is loving and supportive both to myself and my mother, and rejoices with me along each step of this journey. The facility is beautiful, and my mother is always clean and well attended to. There are many activities on different levels for the residents and a lot of individual care and attention. This is the 3rd facility my mother has been in as her dementia has progressed and I looked carefully at all possible options with each move. This journey has been difficult and the staff and management at Canyon Creek has been professional and worked with me. I feel blessed to have mom living at Canyon Creek.

Our experience at Canyon Creek is everything we had hoped for, and more. My Dad has severe dementia, and Parkinsons disease, as well as spinal problems. Sadly, he could not be cared for at home any longer. When we interviewed Canyon Creek, after seeing many other senior care home in Billings, with the delightful and helpful Amy, our fears for him were allayed immediately. We took exactly 45 minutes to decide this was the place for him. It is clean, well designed for patients in wheel-chairs, several TV and activity rooms which are well decorated and cozy, Dads room is large, comfortable and always kept tidy. And hes always clean and dressed well, and enjoys the company of the other patients. The food is exactly the type of comfort food my Dad has always loved. The staff, the nurses and even the laundry lady are friendly, caring and concerned for his well-being. In fact, they even recommended that he stop taking a certain drug that was making him even more confused and sleepy. Hes settled in nicely, and Im even allowed to bring my dog for visits, and the patients there enjoy this immensely. I would recommend Canyon Creek very highly for those who want the peace of mind knowing that their loved one is being well cared for, with interesting activities, drives around Billings in a special van, and most especially, caring and loving staff who understand their duties to the patients as they manoeuvre through this very difficult journey of life. The very negative review on this site seems likely to be a disgruntled person with issues. Our experience could not be further from his. I would disregard it, totally.
