The vibrance of community and active living is evident at The Gatesworth! I recently hosted a special exhibit as well as being a guest lecturer for the Questors speaker series and was wowed by how engaged and empowered the residents are. The staff were, without exception, all professional and helpful. Janine Lawler, Events and Entertainment Director, was a real joy to work with in preparing for and hosting my two programs. I can't speak highly enough of her - the entire team - the residents - and and the overall quality of lifestyle that is evident at the Gatesworth!

When you decide it's time to leave your own standalone home, I can't think of a better place to go. The spaciousness of the facilities, the kindness of the staff, the expertise of the staff, the number of things available to do, the entertainment that's available… I could go on and on. The Gatesworth is just a lovely home. On top of that, it comes with built in friends! There are so many wonderful residents!

I've had multiple family members live and work here since The Gatesworth opened in 1988. I've also worked with hundreds of senior living communities across the country over the years. Exceptional people and exceptional living is an understatement. The Gatesworth is truly world class.

Even the Muzak is good!!! I'm here because my beloved Andrei is in Extended Care next door. I can be near him and we can spend time together doing things we enjoy. We're both better off than when we came. Grateful for the care and support we enjoy here, in a beautiful surrounding.

When I first came to The GatesWorth, I thought to myself there is no way I can afford this type of luxury living. So we went home and discussed it, and discovered with no huge "Buy-in" we can afford to live here very comfortably. We started meeting folks and I'll be the first to admit I've never been this social in my life. Everyone is friendly , and the staff is helpful and happy and it's just a beautiful place to live.

We are fortunate in St Louis to have many options in senior living facilities. Our family could not be more pleased with the experience our dad has had at The Gatesworth. Like he frequently says, it's like living on a cruise ship! There's a variety of activities, food is good, living spaces and grounds are lovely and well maintained and the management and staff are responsive and friendly!

I absolutely love my job here at The Gatesworth. The owners care, the management cares. The director goes above and beyond for both residents and staff. I consider my job more of a home away from home. I continually take care of some of the most fantastic residents who I consider my family. Not to mention I have made so many long lasting friendships with many co workers. I have been in two weddings as bridesmaids to two of my bestfriends I made at The Gatesworth. My sister moved to florida 5 years ago and I used to think I would move there one day. I have worked here for 11 years and I cant imagine myself working anywhere else. If I could move The Gatesworth to Florida then that would be a dream come true. I truly enjoy my job and everything I do daily. I take care of them and they always take care of me. Patience and a kind heart go a long way! 🙂

The Gatesworth has done a wonderful job of making my mother feel welcome and presented many opportunities for her to get involved in the community even under the strict but warranted restrictions of COVID as she moved here from Florida during this stressful time. While challenging, it has been a success and much of that is due to the Gatesworths staff and ownership. We are really looking forward to the continued gradual re-opening and active community life that originally drew us to this special place in St. Louis.

The Gatesworth is truly a remarkable community. My mother has lived there for over 3 years, and her life is enriched every day by the incredible staff, diverse and interesting programs, outstanding food. I just cant say enough about how it has positively impacted her life and her independence.

The Gatesworth has been my grandparents home for over 10 yrs now. I have so many great memories with them here from weekly happy hours to anniversary parties. It is such a wonderful place for so many reasons but the most important part for our family was was how the staff have always gone out of their way to make these moments special for all of us. Im so glad my grandparents can live in a community where they are cared for and treated like family.

Parents at GW...and friends of parents there as well .They are first quality. Made the transition for my parents very easy. Staff is friendly. Activities a plenty. Food is terrific. They even have happy hours for residents AND families. My parents love it.

I would rate the friendliness at Gateworth at One McKnight Place a six if I could. The staff are extremely friendly. Everything here is going really well. It is a really nice facility. I am liking it a lot here. I really have no complaints.
