My family member has been there for several years. Since MGM took over the quality has gone down. Although the staff is very nice the dietary crew is very understaffed and sometimes meals take 3 hours to be served and cleared. The portions are very small and it is common to be told "We're out of that".

The facility is well maintained and clean. Problem is in front office. Staff not given proper direction. Common paperwork issues are not handled with resident in mind. Very short staffed causing lack of attention to residents. Lack of communication between departments causing inconveniences to residents Therapy short staffed. The staff that do show up are courteous and friendly. At another rehab center now and a world of difference.

My sister was there not even 24 hours for rehab. The staff who "assisted" putting her in bed were extremely rough with her, and would not listen to her when she tried to tell them the best way to move her, nor would they let her help in moving herself in any way. She ended up with a large bruise on her leg because they were so rough. The night CNA threatened her with her fists when my sister put her call light on, then closed the door so that my sister was in complete darkness, feeling isolated. She had no pain medication since she had been at the hospital the day before, and she was in extreme pain. The nurse decided to send her back to the hospital for pain control. (This was the only good thing.) When my son went to pick up her things before she left for the hospital, he found my sister sobbing because she had laid in urine for over an hour since no one answered her call light. My son went to the desk and asked for help, and he was told that they were in the middle of a shift change and she would have to wait. If this is how they "cared" for my sister in less than 24 hours, how are they treating other patients/residents? This place needs to get owners and staff who actually are wanting to take care of people, not just so they can get a paycheck. I wouldn't recommend vermin to go to Sherbrooke Village.

There were a few very good people at the facility. Robert, Raymond, Santana, Kelly were very knowledgeable and helpful. The social worker Lenu was kind and helpful with discharge planning. I felt that the PT was not as frequent as should have been, considering that was the reason why I was there. I was supposed to be getting g back to walking, but I was told I was only allowed to be in a wheelchair unless PT was with me, which was only 20-30 minutes 5 days a week. I became very weak after being there 21 days with minimal walking. I realize this may also be the facility policy, but it was not enough movement allowed to speed my recovery. I also had waited 45 minutes to an hour at times for someone to answer my call light. Which was awful when I needed a clean up. Most of the time, the med techs did not tell me what pills they were giving me, just here’s your pills . These things need to be rectified before I would ever recommended this facility. It is very nice and clean with private rooms, but the timeliness of care needs much improvement.

This place is not worth what is charged. We paid over 10000 dollars a month for memory care. After taking my mom out of here to a new facility I realize how bad this place actually is. The new place was 3000 dollars cheaper and the care is 60 percent better maybe more. My mom could walk when she came in this place but after fall after fall maybe once a month her hip was fractured and she was in a wheel chair. They kept her drugged up most of the time and restrained in her wheel chair even at night when she should of been in bed. Often sitting in a wet chair reclined so far back she couldn't sit up right. The social worker that works there told me she was allowed to sleep in her bed at night but after talking to some of the nurses I found out that wasn't true. Some of the workers are very good at what they do and they tried to care for my mom as best they could, but they have high turn over and very short handed it seemed most of the time. If they hired more quality workers that didn't just sit on their phone all day it may not of been so bad. After two months at the new facility mom is able to walk again and does not need to be drugged up or sedated anymore. The new place seems to interact more with their residents, there are more activities and they also do a better job with the showers and diaper changing. Im so sad I didn't find the new place sooner.

Since MGM took over the quality has declined. No hair care is provided, and meals have become very small. The person responsible for arranging transportation is snotty and never sets things up. We never go out for field trips or shopping any more.When I first came here, things actually got done; now, not so much. I would have looked around harder knowing what I now know. Since I've been here I've spent over $300,000. and I don't feel I've gotten my money's worth.

The therapy department here is absolutely amazing. Steve the therapy director goes above and beyond. They've work hard to get my grandma up and moving, and you can tell they truly care about her progress and recovery. Unfortunately, the nursing side of things has been very disappointing. Too often I've seen food left on the table without making sure the patient is sitting up to eat, and there is little effort to get her out of bed. Multiple times when I have came to visit her I will have to go and try to find the staff because they won't answer her call light when she rings it. I honestly think that without the therapy staff, my grandma's mobility and overall well-being would have suffered much more. Overall I'd give therapy 5 stars and nursing 2-3 stars. If you're going there for therapy, you'll be in great hands....but the nursing care really needs improvement.

I can't say enough good things about Sherbrooke village. From the moment we toured the facility, it was clear that this is a place where residents are treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. The staff are incredibly warm and attentive, always taking the time to make sure everyone feels like part of the family. We toured with Erin and she was incredibly kind and helpful during the process of moving my elderly parents into assisted living. I definitely recommend this facility

My dad has been in the Lodge over 18 months now. Change is really hard. The move went well, and Erin (&Daisy!) made it a very pleasant experience. My dad quickly adapted, & change happened again last September when the property was sold. THIS has been less than favorable, but the family agreed to give it some time to improve. A large corporation over a very small & intimate facility may not be the best fit. However, I see some minor improvements amidst all of the struggles. If it were not for Erin and Zlata and Syn, we would have moved him. Keep up the good work, Ladies!

My mom has been at the Lodge of Sherbrooke for 3 years and we have had a good experience. The med techs and CNAs are taking good care of my mom! We love Erin and Joey too! They make staying there enjoyable and plan fun activities for the residents. Keep up the good work!

Facility was nice and clean. The staff were kind and tour guide, Erin was extremely friendly, polite and very informative/knowledgable. She answered all my questions and really seemed to care about the community and its residents with her attention to detail. The best part was watching the community dog, Daisy, wander the halls and interact with the residents and guests. She really provided that homely feel to the community, which can’t be said for all communities like these.

I know not every place is perfect but I've found that Sherbrooke has made my grandma very happy with how she is treated. Update to this review: There are new owners, MGM HEALTHCARE. Many of the competent friendly staff are gone, either fired or left for better employment. Staffing is being cut. That being said, I am optimistic that everything will be stable and back to offering the care we expect for our family member within the next couple of weeks. My family member has been a resident of Sherbrooke Memory Care for three months. The facility is clean, bright and home-like and the staff are friendly and caring with very few exceptions. For me it’s the little things that are attended to so well and expediently: call-light response is very quick; meals are appealing; activities are engaging and appropriate for residents’ mental, social, physical and spiritual needs; (activity facilitator is a gem); toileting, hygiene and laundry are completed in a timely manner and with care; speech, OT, & PT are available in-house; medical needs/questions have been addressed quickly and communication between nurse, PCP, and family has been good, with only one concern which was addressed satisfactorily; nurse has offered to educate family more on characteristics of dementia. It is difficult to leave a loved one in others’ care, but I find peace of mind at Sherbrooke.

My husband was in your establishment recently I got no training on how to handle my husband my husband is now at chestnut Rehab the nurses are nicer and they are more welcoming my husband is coming back hopefully things will be better nope not better they say he is agreesive

We attended a Christmas luncheon a week ago. The room was decorated and the food was very good. Staff treated us with conversations, smiles and made us feel very welcome. Stacy Long, food service manager, went above and beyond to accommodate us. This is an example of my experiences when often visiting my friend that has been in rehabilitation since October. Her PT, and OT's Laura, Leigh Ann, Tony, Stephen have been kind, caring and have addressed any concerns we have. Many other staff members who's jobs are not always glamorous and can be very trying have done the same.

Our mom was staying in Assisted Living temporarily. We found the staff to be friendly, helpful, patient and attentive. We communicated regularly with staff and they were knowledgeable about her status. We were pleased with the care she received.

I have been a resident at Sherbrooke Village for a little more than 2 years. I would like to say that the staff has been very helpful, attentive and pleasant. I hope all assisted living facilities are as good as Sherbrooke. Erin has been very helpful in assisting with my move from one room to another in the lodge.

We moved my mother into the memory care facility and couldn’t be happier. The staff has been wonderful helping her adjust and the attention she is getting is wonderful. So many activities to keep her active and I truly believe she will improve here. Feel blessed to have her here.

I was visiting a friend and met Maurice. He was so patient and kind to her. CA’s jobs are not easy but I have met some really nice employees at Sherbrooke.

My 80 year old father was there for 21 days for rehab to strengthen his legs because he had fallen a couple of times. I picked him up today to take him home and he walks worse than when he went into the facility. If he was not in therapy he wasn’t allowed to walk at all. He was sat in chair or wheelchair in an area the nurses could see him. I visited several times and when I went to ask nurses or staff about how he was doing their responses were very short and not really informative. I don’t know if the facility was short staffed but I don’t feel his visit there did him any good .
