Sherbrooke Village – Reviews
My grandmother, my father, and now my mother have stayed here over the years. They do a great job overall, and my mom is happy there. The facilities are fantastic with a chapel, gym, plenty of walking space inside and outside. The staff is very friendly and attentive.
I was at Sherbrooke Village Lodge for rehab. Everything was so beautiful, and the caregivers are so kind and thoughtful. They really made me feel special and taken care of.
For the past two months, I have been a resident of Sherbrooke Village Rehab. I selected this facility from a recommendation of a friend. I am so happy I listened to her. I have found it to be a good experience. Kind and caring staff that are genuinely interested in helping you get well and back home. The therapy group are top notch and are a constant source of encouragement and hope. They will not let you give up, even when you feel you cant go on. I did however have one bad experience that was upsetting. But, you can not fault the entire organization for one persons bad judgement. Besides, we are all human.
My husband was at rehab at Sherbrooke Village. We were very happy with our experience. The nurses, aids, and therapy were absolutely wonderful. Trina was his nurse aid his first night. She made him feel welcomed. She explained everything and was very reassuring.
And that for The Therapist.. PT, OT, The Nurses, CNAs on Evenings, Nightshift.. Sprinkled with Some day shift Nurses, CNAs.. As far as Management Goes.. Thats always Self- Explanatory... (RUN) the DON stated she was ADHD and Bipolar.. Not connected with anyone but herself.. Treats anyone that maybe. Threat to her as A Target and doesnt care how reckless she is.. Disgusting Human Being.. Just Do yourself a favor.. Look past the Beautiful Façade, and know internally~ inner city facilities are run by better humans... #smh
Everyone has been very nice and taken good care of me. I highly recommend Sherbrooke Village. My mother-in-law was here years ago, so I knew I would love it.
My mother has been getting rehab at Sherbrooke Village after she fell at home. We have been very happy with the nursing care and therapy that she has received at Sherbrooke Village. My mother is very hard of hearing, and the staff always took the time to make sure her needs were understood and met. My mother felt a real connection to this community and the other people there receiving therapy. She said it kept her motivated and positive to see others going through the same things as her.
The care and rehab at Sherbrooke Village has been very good. The nurses are attentive, therapists help you get stronger, and the food is pretty good. I would recommend Sherbrooke to anyone.
The staff at Sherbrooke Village did a good job taking care of me.
Thank you Sherbrooke Village for helping my father on his stroke recovery! I highly recommend them.In 2014, my Dad survived a near death stroke which led him to stay on-site for six weeks. Its skilled & compassionate program aided my bed-ridden Dad to regain his ability to talk & walk again. We tried other outpatient programs post discharge, but eventually returned due to its supportive & effective environment. Today, my Dad can do most activities of daily living and have made friends who can understand & support him on the journey. Also, as a family caregiver, I formed an informal & caring network that can help me through my own journey. Thank you again Sherbrooke Village!
Rehab at Sherbrooke Village has been wonderful. The Lodge is beautiful! The nurses have been very kind and taken good care of me, and the therapists are just the best. I feel so much better and Im ready to go home!
I had stayed at the lodge for 21 days for rehab after back surgery. Here is the truth you will not believe. On arriving at the lodge all they were worried about was the length of my incisions and not my meds. The way they THREW me into bed made me scream from pain and no regards of what my surgeon had put in after surgery instructions. It took them a day and a half to get my pain pills ordered from the house Doctor. No rail on my bed that I could move properly to get out, 10 days later I did received the rails. The bed was not usable by me, I slept in lounge chair the remainder of time these 20 days. One night I sat in urine for 8 hours and the aid told my Fiancée that my pjs were dry but the floor was not cleaned up yet. The night I wet myself the bedroom door was closed and l could not use the call station because the cord was to short so after that the door stayed opened 24 hours a day,Drugs are interesting, I should of received mine every 4 hours but I would call for it but the nurse would show up 2 hours later with it. What happened to my 2 pills (6pills every 4 hrs. Or compared to 4 pills every 6 hrs) I did not receive. One night the night nurse put my morning drugs on the counter next to where I was sleeping and the next morning I awoke the drugs were gone (disappeared). No drugs for that morning and my records said I did receive them. One other interesting situation was my incisions was never cared for by a nurse until it was suggested by us.more interesting item on my list was the Cellulitis I had contracted during my stay was ignored until my Fiancée got in their face and told them I was leaking thru my bandages, which should have been replaced each night but they ignored. I had to go to my family Doctor to have the Cellulitis cured. The cellulitis was so bad the doctor considered sending me to the hospital. House Doctor did nothing to delete this problem. Now here is the amazing situation, even though I was suppose to receive a shower 2 times a week I received 1 dry sponge bath in the 21 days at the Lodge. Believe it or not I heard one of the aids say she did 3 baths that day and she was not giving any more. Now I know why people stayed clear of me. LolI might as well bring up the food quality which was not fit for man or beast. I lost 24 pounds after my surgeryYOU MAKE UP YOUR MIND IF YOU WANT YOUR LOVE ONE CARED FOR THIS WAS???????
My husband was at Sherbrooke Village for rehab. Sherbrooke is beautiful, everything was very nice. The food was good and his room was fabulous. We have nothing but good things to say.
I had a bad accident and needed rehab. No one thought Id be able to go back home, but thats where I am now. The girls at Sherbrooke are great. They worked to get me back to being independent at home. I would recommend them to anyone.
I was at the Lodge for physical therapy, and was so happy with my therapy and nursing care. When I first arrived, I was very afraid to fall. The therapists helped me overcome this, which has made such a big difference for me at home. The staff were wonderful, fun, and cheerful. I highly recommend Sherbrooke Village.
Sherbrooke Village has been great. I had one issue at the beginning of my stay. I spoke to the nurse manager and everything was taken care of promptly. All the staff has been so kind. This is the only place I would ever go for rehab.
I stayed at Sherbrooke Village after my knee replacement, 4 years ago. I was at the Lodge, and loved it! I still visit Sherbrooke with Club Alexian. They have many fun events and club members can exercise in the rehab gym.
I am at Sherbrooke Village for rehab and am very happy. Therapy was great and the nurses took good care of me. I will be going back home soon. I am very grateful to the staff at Sherbrooke Village.
This facility is wonderful. The food is delicious. The therapy department is the BEST! They operate 7 days a week. The are the most wonderful people and work very hard to help the patient gain what they lost. The biggest challenge was working with the 1 RN and 1 aide on the hall. There are 4 halls. There were a few angels among the workers. You just had to look for them.
My mom has been in assisted living at Sherbrooke for nearly 3years. We are grateful for the caring people who work here. Mike Roth and the staff have done an excellent job keeping our family members safe during the Covid pandemic. They have worked hard to keep up the morale of the residents during this trying time. Mom mentions on a regular basis that she is in the best place she could possibly be.Thank you!!
